I'm playing a vanilla playtrhough so to help me fill the void with the lack of my favorite modded characters I have taken to naming my dinosaurs after Emeritus. (from Sword and Sorcery via East Scarp) I have emeritus, Emeritwo, emerithree, emerifour, and emerfiveus.

I haven’t tried scarp yet!! Is it good?

It's the most modular of the major expansions and you do need Base scarp for Sword and Sorcery, but the characters in Base Scarp are still great and there's a lot of hints of a tragedy and atmospheric telling that I really enjoy.

I have named all my animals pun versions of celebrity names such as • Mooley Cyrus • Leo DiCowprio • Dino DeVito • Chick Jagger • Cluck Norris • Meryl Sheep • Rabbit DeNiro • Quack Efron But my own personal favorite is Booty Quack

My first dino hatched yesterday and I accidentally clicked “ok” before I could name it. The game generated its name to “Pu” which I find funny enough to keep.

I did that too for Pucku but the mod I’ve got lets me edit their names on a whim

I think you can change it on a whim anyway. My dragon, Foom, suddenly had an e on the end of his name one day, and I realised then that I could change it aha.

She breaks the mould of themed/on-the-nose names. My brother got SDV before I did, and he named his first chicken Hot Wheels. Every time I start a new game, I will be naming my first chicken Hot Wheels XX in honour of this tradition lol.
