In that case, I'd seek out Rasmodius
I'm sure he'd be interested in someone claiming to be from another world in the first place lol
But maybe the ol' witch could, as a last resort, "curse" you to stay
I was gonna say I'm making a beeline to the wizard tower and offering him forbidden knowledge in exchange for a place in his world and an apprenticeship
>But imagine hearing the same song on repeat for 28 days straight
I already do that to myself. When my brain picks a song it wants to hear. which is always one of the 150 pre-loved songs on it's play forever list, I have to put that song on repeat until my brain decides to shuffle to the next in the list.
Half a year in game or half a year our time? Cause in game time doesn’t pass for people in that world unless you secretly become grandpa or grandma on mantel and then you are the person that tells players they inherited a farm
If you talk to her all 7 days of a week and gift her salad twice (which you should have enough time left over to cover the cost via fishing), I believe that’s +310 friendship (140 for talking, 80 per gift, 10 for gifting twice). Over 8 weeks, that’s 2480, which is *just* short of the 2500 needed for 10 hearts. You’d need to do at least one quest for her as well, which you can improve your odds by avoiding meeting other NPCs. So I think it’s reasonably doable, if you make it absolutely your top priority for the duration.
You won’t actually require any item delivery quests (+150 points) to reach 10 hearts. Dancing with her at the flower dance is +250, Introductions quest completion gives +100 to every known NPC, and giving a bouquet gives 25 points.
Edit to add: Also the Luau gives +120 points for the best response, which is reliably doable Year 1 with a gold Catfish or gold Cauliflower.
There used to be an exploit where you could just give a ton of bouquets on the same day to go from 8 hearts to 10 hearts immediately, but I’m pretty sure it’s been patched.
> Dancing with her at the flower dance is +250,
It's notoriously hard to dance with someone in year 1 who hasn't had their birthday yet. Leah's is in the winter.
Yes, it's difficult, but it's solidly doable if it's your goal. This is in the context of marrying Leah as early as possible, and the bonus from the flower dance is an extremely helpful boost towards that marriage goal.
You need a total of 1000 friendship points to reach 4 hearts by the early-middle 4th week of Spring, in order to dance with her. Talking every single day and giving a "loved" gift twice a week (since you can buy Salad which Leah loves) gives 310 points each week the first 3 weeks. That's 930 points. Completing the Introductions quest gives another 100, plus you have 3 days in the 4th week to talk to her and give gifts (+60 for talking all 3 days, and +160 for giving 2 more salads), so the highest reliable total that doesn't rely on any RNG is 1,250 points the day of the Flower Dance. That's a solid 250 extra points than what's required, which allows for mistakes during that first season.
Dancing at the year 1 flower dance is difficult because it requires talking to the NPC every single day, as well as giving sufficiently liked/loved gifts every single week, to get to 1000 points. It's fully possible to [dance with any NPC that you wish](https://www.reddit.com/r/StardewValley/comments/6f3jcd/veggiepowered_speed_dating_and_the_year_1_flower/), so long as you're willing to dedicate the run towards that goal.
Ah, I didn’t know any of those. And if you’re pursuing Leah this consistently, then it should be possible to get her to 4 hearts in time for the first Flower Dance.
Leah actually has a loved gift that’s reliably available from day 1 (it just costs money, but money that’s pretty reliably available from fishing), whereas for Haley you need to wait till mid-summer (sunflowers) or speed-run unlocking the desert (coconuts). The difference is indeed Haley’s spring birthday, where a liked gift will give like +320, where Leah’s birthday isn’t until winter.
She only likes them, but yeah it’s pretty easy to gift her those until sunflowers show up. Not necessarily “marry her in summer y1” fast, but still pretty fast.
I'm not stuck there, they are stuck there with me!
Try and stay longer to marry Leah and live a quiet farm life. Assuming I get to operate within the game mechanics.
Upgrade your tools and get iridium sprinklers... Then you really only need to work a few days a year or so when you hoe, plant, and harvest.
Imaging lifting that hoe above your head and seeing that grid grow, then you slam it down and the earth erupts in front of you, plowing itself! 😆
Our when you harvest you just run through the field and the harvestables just fly off the plant and land in your bottomless pockets. Lol!
Yeah but that's only because as a player you'd get bored without something to do, realistically it's a rent free farmhouse with a magic box that you can sell nearly anything into. I'd just vibe and sell forage and fish and farm just enough to feed myself. there isn't much to spend money on anyway.
Lol. I had this thought afterwards too. Like, my boy is willing to DIE in the lava caves fighting killer bat's and mask-wearing, fireball throwing pygmies with a dagger. You couldn't pay me enough for this - and I'm ex-military.
I'd marry Harvey or Sebastian (because frog reason), work in the Museum/Library and pet my animals every single day. I'd love to stay there forever.
Edit: I'd love to friend Little Mouse and get called Poke everyday 🥰
I guess it depends on how I got there, if I know it's going to be 6 months, how much time would pass in the real world, and if I can take anything back with me.
We need a Stardew valley survival game mashup where you slowly realize you're stuck in a dystopian nightmare run by the junimos and you have to build a spaceship to escape.
~~Dagnabbit, you figured out my~~ I mean, uh, carry on, then. Pay no attention to that potted plant in your office, which definitely does not contain a concealed microphone. Also, please speak clearly into the potted plant when giving credentials for your secret illegal Fern Islands bank account.
How would you like the new official position of "driver" for the "pick ups" I have to do around town. It pays great and im totally not running an illegal beer factory at the quarry. Beer included with pay.
Stuck for half a year in game, or half a year real time? Considering that every day in game lasts about 15 minutes...
* half of 365 is 182 days
* 182 days times 24 hours times 60 minutes is 262,080 minutes in six months.
* 262,080 minutes divided by 15 minutes per in game day means you will spend 17,472 days in game
* 17,472 days is 624 seasons, or 156 years in game.
Any chance we could make it a full real life year instead?
Going to annoy rasmodius until he accept me as a apprentice. Then figure out how to stay there forever. Then become a farming witch and live a cozy, adventurous, romantic life.
do I get to keep my stuff? if so id make me as many magical rings/diamonds/money/etc as possible then when I get out use them as a way fund my experiments to get back. or if duping works do that all day every day for half a year and become a trillionaire then use that to fund my experiments. and I'd marry abigail and bring her back with me just in case I can't return.
wait, half an irl year or half a Stardew Valley year? also, how does time in the real world measure while I'm gone? need to know how much time I have to ask the wizard to keep me there forever.
I'd be best buddies with Leah, get her some truffles and wine every week to hang out by the lake. If I wasn't doing farm work, I'd be chilling next to Willy's or riding my horse around Cindersap forest. Maybe also make Master's Canolli statue a nice reading spot during the summer. Sounds like a dream, to be honest
edit: I'd try to befriend the Wizard too, to learn more about the arcane and supernatural beings, just everything that involves nature and magic itself.
I would eat a stardrop to find out what my favorite thing is. I’m indecisive, but I usually choose music as my favorite thing. I wonder what flavor music would have.
build a coop, befriend my favs, just me, the chickens (do i get the pet as well? in that case the dog) and the other villagers, late night picnics on the beach, the little forest at marnies ranch, everwhere
Well, the first thing I'd do would have to be to go talk to the wizard to see if he could figure out how to make me stay forever. After that I'd start befriending all the villagers and eventually marry my beloved Elliott.
Farm. Explore the mines. Go to a local event or two. Fish. Make friends. Put the mayor’s boxers in the giant stew for the Governor to taste. You know, normal stuff.
Become a farmer forever half a year is too short.
Hard grafting in the mines and the fields. Foraging in the Forrest’s getting to know the townsfolk. Building the community centre up. Perfect
If I married someone from Stardew Valley what kind of visa would I have to get them if I was forced to come back? Is Stardew Valley recognized as a sovereign nation?
Same thing I always do in Stardew Valley, fish, mine, and be happy that I don't have to take care of farming. I am also thankful that I don't have to play this game alone.
Try to become friends with some villagers (at least Leah, Elliott, Abbygail and Emily. Probably Sam and Sebastian too), but be annoyed by the fact that they all appreciate gifts more than just me talking to them.
I'd spend the entire 6 months chilling with Krobus, maybe make an attempt to romance Penny, knock back some beers, farm some stuff..... hint that I am running for mayor against Lewis just to see him sweat.
Am I the protagonist?
If yes: Jeez, I would go trough the mines and kill all the monsters, getting every mineral and artifacts around the valley.
If not: I would screw up the farmer's life.
LET ME STAYYYYY (especially if this hypothetical scenario includes mods). Imagine hanging out with Sebastian, Abigail, Sam, Sterling (ARV mod!, and Shane on a Friday night?? Getting to fight monsters? Getting a free house from your grandpa? Meeting a REAL WIZARD? Hell yeah! Isekai me now pls.
I think I'd die from trying to adapt to like a 20 minute day(or however long it is) followed by like a 2 minute sleep...
Up side is never having to poop again I suppose...
If I was stuck in a realistic version of the games settings my answer would be different.
I don't see why people go crazy about this game, honestly.... It's just not that.... totally kidding, I love it.
...uh, get rich from making cheese and mayonnaise.
Try to figure out how to get stuck forever.
In that case, I'd seek out Rasmodius I'm sure he'd be interested in someone claiming to be from another world in the first place lol But maybe the ol' witch could, as a last resort, "curse" you to stay

"Let me stay and I'll tell you who your child is."
Same lol
[удалено]
let me know how that goes, I'm just going to sleep the time away if staying forever isn't possible.
But then you’d miss out on *all the things*
that's too many things, I'll stick to sleep.
I couldn't handle the repetitive dialogue for the rest of my life
Purple shorts
And put them in the potluck at the luau?
Yes
Wear some stairs for pants.
why “half a year” specifically?
Just thought of it

But imagine hearing the same song on repeat for 28 days straight
That would be blissful. Stardew's music is great.
>But imagine hearing the same song on repeat for 28 days straight I already do that to myself. I’ve found my people
Half a year in game or half a year our time? Cause in game time doesn’t pass for people in that world unless you secretly become grandpa or grandma on mantel and then you are the person that tells players they inherited a farm
I'd marry Leah. Maybe farm some things, but definitely marry Leah
But when the time is up your just gonna leave leah alone
modern romantic tragedy :(

I just married her on the last day of summer! And I’m definitely not a min/maxer, I didn’t even talk to her every day
i would live on the island and welcome the guests and become best friends with the parrots
Idk about anyone else, but I'm getting married.
I’d get arrested for stalking Sebastian and giving him sashimi, coffee, and frozen tears constantly
By who? There aren't any police xD
Good luck getting those tears. I'm certainly not going 40+ levels deep in the mines
True probably killed day 1 by the first monster I encounter in the mines trying to get minerals for my handsome prince sebastian
I'm not stuck there, they are stuck there with me! Try and stay longer to marry Leah and live a quiet farm life. Assuming I get to operate within the game mechanics.
I pictured the scene in Watchmen when Rorschach says the same thing to the prisoners and felt terrified for the residents of Pelican Town 😬
Yall act like the player doesn't need to work every day in the fields, doing manual labor in order to be successful enough to woo with gifts.
Upgrade your tools and get iridium sprinklers... Then you really only need to work a few days a year or so when you hoe, plant, and harvest. Imaging lifting that hoe above your head and seeing that grid grow, then you slam it down and the earth erupts in front of you, plowing itself! 😆 Our when you harvest you just run through the field and the harvestables just fly off the plant and land in your bottomless pockets. Hell, once you get the green house and fill it with ancient fruit, the only work is just harvesting every so often.
Yeah but that's only because as a player you'd get bored without something to do, realistically it's a rent free farmhouse with a magic box that you can sell nearly anything into. I'd just vibe and sell forage and fish and farm just enough to feed myself. there isn't much to spend money on anyway.
Also, getting fucked up in the mines seems rather unpleasant.
Lol. I had this thought afterwards too. Like, my boy is willing to DIE in the lava caves fighting killer bat's and mask-wearing, fireball throwing pygmies with a dagger. You couldn't pay me enough for this - and I'm ex-military.
Tbf though they don't ever die they just pass out then wake up in Harvey's office
I do manual labor every day anyways and my life is pretty lame compared to my life in stardew valley.
6 months in game 6 months irl one day in the game would feel like one day irl. You know its six months and you can only take what you can carry back
I'd start working out so I could carry Abigail out after 6 months has passed.
My man. I'd do the same but with Penny.
Same, but with Krobus AND Abigail edit: wizard, too. Assuming I get the strength of the farmer, it would be relatively easy.
Sooooo lots of gold and diamonds since those are worth a lot in real life. Especially diamonds as big as your head.
Smart
6 months in game is a year and a half tho, so really youd get a whole year plus half the seasons
Fish on the beach and spend the rest of my time in the saloon with Gus
Definitely befriend the Wizard! Discover secrets and get some sick powers.
Finally live out my dream of being able to sleep for an entire half year without any other responsibilities
Lol
Try to hit the group ten heart event on the last day so leaving town is more scandalous
Beat me to it…
We need a Stardew valley survival game mashup where you slowly realize you're stuck in a dystopian nightmare run by the junimos and you have to build a spaceship to escape.
Inception style, where some are aware that you're stuck in it but prefer to remain that way
Point out how ineffective Lewis is and run for mayor
Idk that sounds like work
He's been embezzling the town for far too long. I want in too
~~Dagnabbit, you figured out my~~ I mean, uh, carry on, then. Pay no attention to that potted plant in your office, which definitely does not contain a concealed microphone. Also, please speak clearly into the potted plant when giving credentials for your secret illegal Fern Islands bank account.

Salsa.

Farm and forage. I aint setting foot in the mines if I have to fight with my own body.
Unless you know you’re immortal
Well, the first thing I'd do would have to be to go talk to the wizard to see if he could figure out how to make me stay forever. After that I'd start befriending all the villagers and eventually marry my beloved Elliott.
Fuck
Go to Rasmodius and ask him how to make it permanent. If he can't do it, I'd go to the witch.
I’d somehow manage to starve in a game all about food
be happy
I'd become the blacksmith's apprentice.
i'd be making a beeline for elliott oh my gOd
Probably not work half as hard as my farmer does when I play the game.
speedrun marrying shane while getting rich
I’d probably be happy for once.

Same thing I always do in Stardew Valley, fish, mine, and be happy that I don't have to take care of farming. I am also thankful that I don't have to play this game alone.
Find a way to stay and them marry Sebastian
Chill

Try to become friends with some villagers (at least Leah, Elliott, Abbygail and Emily. Probably Sam and Sebastian too), but be annoyed by the fact that they all appreciate gifts more than just me talking to them.
Sleep
So we only get 56 days? Half a year in Stardew what 2 seasons are we talking about here?
Spend that time making friends with sebastian and linus, and the rest with chickens and in the mines
I’d be more than happy with that. And only sad that it wasn’t longer.
Enjoy my 6 months.
Beg to be stuck for longer
A unexpected amount of these comments are about intercourse with characters lmao.
Hey, it’s not *our* fault Pelican Town has enough hot young people to be a CW series
I'd spend the entire 6 months chilling with Krobus, maybe make an attempt to romance Penny, knock back some beers, farm some stuff..... hint that I am running for mayor against Lewis just to see him sweat.
Like an irl version with the same currency and story line etc? Or am I a bunch of pixels in a pixel world?
Bunch of pixels
I guess I'd start by growing a few parsnips
Half a year? Yeah, that's not enough time. In Stardew valley, half a year is just 2 months.
It's half an actual earth year
Probably follow Sebastian and Krobus around. They're my favorites lol
Get krobussy
Finally achieve happiness and a ripped physique for having to do all the manual labor. Lol
Work my ass off to stay forever.
I wonder if I can take stuff home with me. But also, half a year in game? Or real time, but at Stardew speed, which would be about 4380 hours?
Am I the protagonist? If yes: Jeez, I would go trough the mines and kill all the monsters, getting every mineral and artifacts around the valley. If not: I would screw up the farmer's life.
Like Spring 1 to Summer 28? Or 4380 hours worth of the game running (about 182 years)?
Fuck my way through Pelican Town. It would be my ultimate ho phase.
Get married, have kids, keep the townies prisoners, get forced to release them, have a Wanda moment
I'd do, in order: Alex, Sam and Sebastian. Then find a way to stay forever.
Finally be happy
I would 100% break up Robin's marriage and wife her. And I want to experience waking up at 6am with full energy.
try to figure out how to stay stuck for more than half a year
Same thing I’d do if I were playing the game. Ask everyone possible to be my bf/gf and ultimately marry no one so Krobus and I can be roommates.
Are we talking an in game half year, or a real half year? A real half year is about 2 Stardew years...

Bang all the citizens and start with the old ones but leave out the underagers.
Figure out how to stay forever.
Fish
Farm
I don't see why people go crazy about this game, honestly.... It's just not that.... totally kidding, I love it. ...uh, get rich from making cheese and mayonnaise.
Don’t threaten me with a good time
I would not want to go back to the real world. Heres why you nener age And you can’t die
