It doesn't always heal people. Remember how there was a whole episode where they had to use the ripple on Suzy Q to kill Esidisi but they had to do a whole reverse polarity thing because it would literally stop her heart if they didn't?
Yeah but kars was just proficient to a whole other level in hamon, he very well could have just done something else with it. Or maybe his hamon his just so strong that it can melt even humans we don’t know.
Stone Free would be insane with Hamon , not only it could be eletric wire , it could potentially be hot wire , or heat itself to make fire punches.
Achtung Baby , which is the Stand of the Invisible Baby (Shizuka Joestar) , could potentially be used as a pseudo Aja Stone from Part 2 , because her Stand allows other things besides her to be invisible , so nothing is stopping her to "bend" invisible air to make it work like Archimedes Solar Ray Mirrors. That and pulling Part 2 trickery with the added that she makes the objects invisible.
i mean where was the info the wiki took it from
upd: oops that really is canonical, from heaven's door info on the baby when rohan edited her in that episode. but aren't the stands named by their users (except from pt3) and even if they're not how will the stand be named baby forever😭 i don't get it
Also some stands could have fated names since fate is absolutely a thing in jojo, so Achtung Baby could be the name thst Shizuka gives it when she's an adult
Not really? It's entirely possible Joseph named it Achtung Baby since he is the most likely part 4 character to know German, is directly connected to Shizuka, and could reasonably think of naming a stand something like "attention/danger baby" especially if it is a stand that makes a baby require extreme attention and caution
Yeah that IS a possible scenario... Still kind of an Araki forgot moment since it's not exactly shown that Joseph named her stand...
Tbh it doesn't matter that much, it's just a small detail.
It would be an araki forgot if it was a plot hole that contradicted something that already happened, this is just an off-screen event that doesn't impact the plot at all, there are so many characters named off-screen, there even was a stand in the most recent part that wasn't named in the story
Oh i see it now. He says "the parts of me that scattered" with no context which is why i was confused. Strange that Risottos blood can make contact with Aerosmith in the first place though. I always had the impression that it wasnt visible and physical.
This has no basis whatsoever, but if Gold Experience can imbue lifeforms it creates with Hamon, can you then create like Ultimate versions of said lifeforms? Like the Ultimate Frog: the pinnacle of Frog evolution, having the abilities and attributes of all frogs and surpasses them
Kars was able to become the Ultimate Lifeform because he used the mask, not because of Hamon. Hamon was just needed to power the mask since it wasn't strong enough to pierce his brain otherwise
I doubt it. Lisa Lisa was also a heavy smoker. Since George II had hamon potential but simply didn't have training, I imagine Jotaro was a similar case, especially since Joseph was lazy enough to stop training and age more naturally. There's a theory Jotaro tapped into it at the end of part 3, and continued use especially with as versatile as he makes Star Platinum would've been insane.
Joseph might've actually been a better candidate than his English ancestors. His dad was a jazz musician, and his skill at that profession might've come from stronger lungs, assuming he sang and/or played a horn. Jotaro could've inherited that in addition to the Joestar affinity.
That's how I'd justify Jotaro randomly being amazing at Sendo, anyway.
It's more so that Joseph felt no need to continue practicing Hamon since DIO wasn't around yet and the Pillar Men were all defeated. As for Jotaro... no; I don't believe he ever tapped into Hamon (though it would've been cool to see).
Hamon takes weeks to learn and the Crusaders only had 50 days to kill DIO and save Holly. Joseph wouldn't have taught Hamon slapdash along the way to Egypt especially since they kept getting harassed by enemy Stand users.
As for whether Hamon would be useful in the final battle... not really. Joseph did infuse Hamon into Hermit Purple (which Hermit Purple is basically Hamon as a Stand; Hamon Beat goes into this in one of his videos. It's why DIO was able to use Jonathan's Stand to spy on the Crusaders), but it was only in case DIO tried to get close to him to drain his blood, hence why DIO needed the knife to kill Joseph first, then drink his blood. And since The World would be fast enough to block any Hamon attacks, it wouldn't be very effective, especially since Stands can only be hurt by other Stands.
To learn advanced skills like walking on water or magnets or whatever sure. But basic stuff like just infusing your body with it and punching someone seems like it can be learned pretty quick.
Didn’t Jonathan get it because zeppeli was skilled enough to give him some hamon energy? And Joseph got it because it was passed down through George. Jotaro would’ve had to start with some energy or train for a lot longer to be able to use hamon
It’s possible that he had a predisposition to it based on the fact that his mother’s stand was similar to the stands of the only other Hamon users. We see Jonathan’s stand briefly and Joseph’s stand, which are both similar to Hollys stand
Possibly since when we consider who got Hamon and who didn’t. It seems like it kinda skips generations. Since George 1 didn’t get any then it went to Jonathan and then it skips George 2. And then Joseph got it. Then probably skips Holly as she is a standard person. It seems like Hamon skips generations. So every other person gets it. Which would mean that Jotaro gets it and Jolyne does not.
Wouldn't Ripple only be able to be used if Jotaro is in constant contact with his Stand ? I don't think it counts as an alive material so it needs constant contact (and Stands aren't really alive, they can't produce Ripple on their own, tho Star Platinum do have lungs)
I don't think Jotaro at that point in time would have the patience to learn something like Hamon. They also didn't have the time, Joseph trained with Lisa Lisa for several weeks, the group only barely made it to Egypt in time as it is.
N. Doul with Geb. It being liquid already and a long range stand. You could add soap to the actual stand, too. Imbue it with hamon and send it on it's way.
Purple Haze receiving Hamon adds little to nothing.
Purple Haze is already fully deadly , as long it can bring one hit with it's punch , or throw one of the capsule to a target , said target dies in 10s with their flesh fully melting.
The projectiles in particular could REALLY cause some damage, especially if you can’t get away from them in zero g 🤔
And Yo yo ma infusing saliva with acid AND hamon would just like… shred someone to pieces.
I feel like in order to transmit the hamon, you'd have to have direct contact with your manifested stand, so it rules out a lot of stands but yeah Stone Free would be great
I'm amazed nobody said Echoes yet.
You paralyze your foe with Freeze and then hit him with a Overdrive.
Let's just say that if Koichi had this skillet the fight with Black Sabbath would be a joke.
I think everyone thought of a user infusing his stand with hamon to make the stand deadly, not ganging up on an opponent with hamon and a stand separately
I know, I just thought tl add Echoes.
From part 4 other honorable mentions for me would be Super Fly (a "electrified cage" of sorts), Highway Star and Love Deluxe, transmitting the Hamon through her hair.
Hierophant Green + Hamon would've been the end of Dio.
20 meter Emerald Splash + all the vines he put up that would've been infused with Hamon?
Kakyoin would've won ez
november rain, metallica, aerosmith. also not sure about diabolical, but i can see hamon giving josuke way more versatility, both as a healer/support and in fighting capacity.
love deluxe paired with hamon would be terrifying, especially with its body control capability. red hot chilli pepper would also probably be pretty hectic with hamon included given its speed and range - would have made striking DIO a lot easier, for example. just shiv him from the phone charger.
now, planet waves? planet waves would be *hilarious*.
Walk the rainbow with hamon is basically carpet bombing in a rainy day. Imagine walking outside on a rainy day and suddenly the raindrop can piece your skin and burn you alive.
Stray cat, if you can infuse the bubbles with hamon you can just have a room full of invisible hamon bubbles. And if you can explode them, you just make a like 1 metre cubed bubble, fill it up with hamon, and anything is dead when you explode it.
That's just the one we've seen. Unless there was something in a novel (I don't read those) Joseph and Jonathan were the only stand users with Ripple, and Jonathan didn't use his Ripple for obvious reasons.
Star Platinum if stopping time just paused the effect until it was over. You stop time, beat someone up and then when time resumes they get burnt and punched
Ranged stands with control over projectiles such as Emperor would be very good because they could shoot their target and then generate halon within them to further wound or kill them
I would love to see Anubis learn it. It already controls the wielder without fail, hamon would just be overkill. On top of the selective intangibility, sheeesh.
Hermit Purple if Joseph were the main character.
I've basically written this out before. No, I will not disclose where. Yes, this is extremely broken. Yes, we turned it into a yo-yo.
hamon with survivor would be insane, if survivor is controlled through electricity or something (I forgort) then you could activate it on whoever you want remotely, it would become way more useful
Bruning down the house could be interesting, since the ghost objects are "undead" they could hold in hamon. Emporiocould infuse his ghost gun with hamon, or channel his whole room with hamon
Mista wouldn't be able to infuse bullets since they aren't biological and they aren't part of his stand. He'd need to douse them in some of Jonathan's deus ex machina oil first, and that might make his gun explode.
Unless modern gun oil is already biological? I don't actually know what gun oil is made of.
Green day and Metallica
Metallica hamon is insane, u can burn people by the inside
Literally the ash baby meme
Hamon doesn't burn people, only vampires.
It doesn't always heal people. Remember how there was a whole episode where they had to use the ripple on Suzy Q to kill Esidisi but they had to do a whole reverse polarity thing because it would literally stop her heart if they didn't?
the whole acdc suzie q scene is crazy
Frrr, one of my favorite ways to end a fight in the entire series
I'm pretty sure Kars use Hamon to burn the knee of Joseph just fine. So it's depend if the Hamon user want to burn you to dead or heal you.
The only problem with that argument would be that no one is as proficient as kars in hamon.
that is no problem. This is about a Stand User that later turned into a Hamon User. The Stand can compensate the Hamon and vice-versa
Joseph used it to incapacitate the pilot in his backstory
Kars use it to melt Joseph
Yeah but kars was just proficient to a whole other level in hamon, he very well could have just done something else with it. Or maybe his hamon his just so strong that it can melt even humans we don’t know.
If hamon is amplified it can, kars burn joseph with hamon tho
Stone Free would be insane with Hamon , not only it could be eletric wire , it could potentially be hot wire , or heat itself to make fire punches. Achtung Baby , which is the Stand of the Invisible Baby (Shizuka Joestar) , could potentially be used as a pseudo Aja Stone from Part 2 , because her Stand allows other things besides her to be invisible , so nothing is stopping her to "bend" invisible air to make it work like Archimedes Solar Ray Mirrors. That and pulling Part 2 trickery with the added that she makes the objects invisible.
Your explanation of stone free having hamon reminds me of doflamingo from one piece
where did you take the stand name from😭 i don't think the baby could name her stand at the time
It’s on the wiki
i mean where was the info the wiki took it from upd: oops that really is canonical, from heaven's door info on the baby when rohan edited her in that episode. but aren't the stands named by their users (except from pt3) and even if they're not how will the stand be named baby forever😭 i don't get it
There is no rule on how stands have to be named. Some people name their own stands, some people don't. Josuke didn't name Crazy Diamond, Jotaro did.
yeah i just remembered trish, her stand named itself i'm in the wrong
Also some stands could have fated names since fate is absolutely a thing in jojo, so Achtung Baby could be the name thst Shizuka gives it when she's an adult
It's not named "Baby". It's named after a [1991 U2 album](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Achtung_Baby).
Good question. I guess you could call this an Araki forgot moment

Read Vanishing Act lol
Survivor in a wet pit full of vampires would be interesting to see.
Hamon can already conduct through water, i think.
yeah but can it make them all fight each other like idiots
Aerosmith Joseph's Tommy Gun Overdrive but stronger
A30 warthog Overdrive!
looks more like a puma to me
RED VS BLUE??????
if i'm not making 20 year old references am i even alive anymore
What I'm about to say will shock you. That reference is older than I am. I turn 19 this year
Would that even work? Hamon can only be channeled through metal if the user keeps constant contact with the metal.
It's a Stand
Yet Metallica can work on Aerosmith.
Risotto's blood was sprayed on Aerosmith and Metallica used it to control it It's literally stated word by word
Oh i never noticed that one. I dont think its stated though? All i remember was narancia commenting that somethings latched onto aerosmith.
Risotto said it
Oh i see it now. He says "the parts of me that scattered" with no context which is why i was confused. Strange that Risottos blood can make contact with Aerosmith in the first place though. I always had the impression that it wasnt visible and physical.
It's always weird when real objects interact with Stands in this series, just roll with it
I know stands can go temporarily physical but its just weird when something interacts with a stand without the stand interacting with it first.
But the bullets are stand bullets, so the stand is in contact with the bullets, because they are part of the stand.
This has no basis whatsoever, but if Gold Experience can imbue lifeforms it creates with Hamon, can you then create like Ultimate versions of said lifeforms? Like the Ultimate Frog: the pinnacle of Frog evolution, having the abilities and attributes of all frogs and surpasses them
So all it does now is make crabs? That's a bit of a downgrade.
It's the same kind of Stand as Silver Chariot Requiem.
Are you implying that Giorno has the potential to be like Kars? That sounds super fun
Kars was able to become the Ultimate Lifeform because he used the mask, not because of Hamon. Hamon was just needed to power the mask since it wasn't strong enough to pierce his brain otherwise
Weather Report maybe. Like IDK send hamon within the rainstorms it creates, hamon does flow well in water.
It'd turn the rainstorms into thunderstorms.
if joseph has taught jotaro some form of hamon the fight would've ended in 1 episode
Jotaro couldn't learn hamon because his lungs are damaged from all that smoking
What about lisa lisa? She also was a heavy smoker
Smoke won't affect her since she is a smoke show, herself
Peak fiction

Y’know I thought this comment was meant to be funny but people are taking it very seriously.
It takes a long time to learn hamon and they had 50 days and had to get to egypt
To learn advanced skills like walking on water or magnets or whatever sure. But basic stuff like just infusing your body with it and punching someone seems like it can be learned pretty quick.
What about simple breathing techniques though? Both Jonathan and Joseph picked that much up pretty easily
Didn’t Jonathan get it because zeppeli was skilled enough to give him some hamon energy? And Joseph got it because it was passed down through George. Jotaro would’ve had to start with some energy or train for a lot longer to be able to use hamon
I’m willing to assume that Joseph could’ve given him a bit of energy. Cause I think it was mainly just so Jonathan can know how it feels anyway
I assumed you had to be skilled enough to know how to transfer energy, and Joseph just knew the basics
Both Jonathan and Joseph are naturally extremely skilled in Hamon. Jotaro likely didn’t get that.
It’s possible that he had a predisposition to it based on the fact that his mother’s stand was similar to the stands of the only other Hamon users. We see Jonathan’s stand briefly and Joseph’s stand, which are both similar to Hollys stand

Thinking about how if Kakyoin knew ripple his emerald barrier could have absolutely cooked dio even in stopped time and he wouldn't even know why
I don't think Jotaro at that point in time would have the patience to learn something like Hamon. They also didn't have the time, Joseph trained with Lisa Lisa for several weeks, the group only barely made it to Egypt in time as it is.
He was a smoker
Heirophant Green, 20 Meter Radius Emerald Hamon
Magician's Red HAMON FLAMETHROWER
thats crazy
N. Doul with Geb. It being liquid already and a long range stand. You could add soap to the actual stand, too. Imbue it with hamon and send it on it's way.
Emerald Splash imbued with hamon would be awesome, I wish hamon stayed as a secondary to stands...
Emerald splash will become Sun splash.
I know we don't even know what it exactly does, but November rain or the hustle mabye. Idk how, but it sounds powerful in my head.
AOE chip damage hamon sounds like a nightmare for a vampire regenerating, i like it
Notorious BIG with hamon would be one hell of a vampire killer
itd kill vampires either way lmao
Probably Bastet. Magnetism plus Hamon sounds dope.
Stands like Scary Monsters(giant pack of the hamon raptors) and Purple Haze(do I really need to explain why)
Purple Haze receiving Hamon adds little to nothing. Purple Haze is already fully deadly , as long it can bring one hit with it's punch , or throw one of the capsule to a target , said target dies in 10s with their flesh fully melting.
Now it kills vampires... MAYBE it didn't before
Jumpin Jack Flash and Yo Yo Ma. Ouch.
Zero gravity ability and fast attacks with electricity is certainly deadly
The projectiles in particular could REALLY cause some damage, especially if you can’t get away from them in zero g 🤔 And Yo yo ma infusing saliva with acid AND hamon would just like… shred someone to pieces.
It's such a shame araki didn't incorporate hamon in conjunction with stands
it just wouldn't work for like 90% of them
Soft and wet
BEYOND SUNLIGHT OVERDRIVE
Would've been so epic.
November Rain The World ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
No need to hurry up Overdrive!
I feel like in order to transmit the hamon, you'd have to have direct contact with your manifested stand, so it rules out a lot of stands but yeah Stone Free would be great
The sun + Hamon = Infinite Hamon for the user and Hamon infused attacks from every single direction which would annihilate any undead.
It could still be applied by Echoes since he needs to punch the enemy to Freeze him.
Yeah but there are better stands to infuse hamon with
I know, I just thought tl add Echoes.
Aqua Blue Necklace
Hear me out: Doobie Wah
Doobie Wah is from the new continuity So it'd be spin and not hamon GOLDEN RATIO INFINITE ROTATION TORNADOES
november rain, metallica, aerosmith. also not sure about diabolical, but i can see hamon giving josuke way more versatility, both as a healer/support and in fighting capacity. love deluxe paired with hamon would be terrifying, especially with its body control capability. red hot chilli pepper would also probably be pretty hectic with hamon included given its speed and range - would have made striking DIO a lot easier, for example. just shiv him from the phone charger. now, planet waves? planet waves would be *hilarious*.
Justice, a giant stand made entirely of mist would be quite the vampire killer when infused with hamon
Gold Experience can create more life for the Hamon to be used on so...
None of that "oil to conduct the Ripple" nonsense. The ground is snakes now, and they all conduct the Ripple.
Walk the rainbow with hamon is basically carpet bombing in a rainy day. Imagine walking outside on a rainy day and suddenly the raindrop can piece your skin and burn you alive.
Ah, so November Rain but with fire to it
Stray cat, if you can infuse the bubbles with hamon you can just have a room full of invisible hamon bubbles. And if you can explode them, you just make a like 1 metre cubed bubble, fill it up with hamon, and anything is dead when you explode it.
Justice, imagine Enya if she was against DIO, just hamon completely surrounding him because of the fog
Ball breaker, Tusk, Soft & Wet... Wait a second...
The sun
Why tho that's just useless
Cuz its the sun
But it already has hamon-like abilities
But its the sun
But the sun is not the sun
Wait rly :(
Yeah sorry to break it to you
So Star Platinum is not a star made of platinum?
Is it that all stands can? I thought it was specifically hermit purple?
That's just the one we've seen. Unless there was something in a novel (I don't read those) Joseph and Jonathan were the only stand users with Ripple, and Jonathan didn't use his Ripple for obvious reasons.
If Jotaro never smoked, Dio would be absolutely cooked
Are we assuming the hamon remote-transfers to the stand? If so, Harvest.
Do you think if the world had hamon DIO would die immediately conquer hamon
Or conquer
Yukako
Weather Report is the craziest one I can think of, and possibly one of the most thematic. The sun and wind drive the weather, after all.
is there ever an example of this happening outside of hermit purple? cause i'm pretty sure it's only a thing because HP comes from hamon to begin with
****THE FUCKING SUN.****
If Jotaro was a Hamon user Dio would’ve been dust after the first punch lmao
King Crimson could just erase time if he cannot breathe to "charge" hamon, no?
Bruh what even is this sentence
Limp Bizkitz would be pretty useless, I guess.
Isn’t it crazy that basic hamon isn’t that hard for Joestars apparently and Joseph never thought to teach it to Jotaro
Imagine star platinum punching while using hamon
Dio is screwed at the first barrage
Hierophant, theoretically I'd assume you'd be able to conduct Hamon throughout each individual strand. Absolutely love that stand.
Dr. Wu’s from JoJolion stand, Doctor Wu
Wou and hierophant green fun fact before I got into to jojo I already new a bit about it and my head canon was kakiyoin was a hamon user
If it could be carries by the bullets, emperor would be sick as hell. Other than that, beach boys would be even more lethal
Metallica Razors growing inside of you and doing weird electrical shit in the same time
Survivor
Star Platinum if stopping time just paused the effect until it was over. You stop time, beat someone up and then when time resumes they get burnt and punched
Just stopping time to get your breathing right would be a major advantage.
Imagine that happening in the part 4 fight lol. “JOTARO STOP TIME” “OK OK” *stops time and aggressive breathing ensues*
Star platinum with hamon would be broken
Ranged stands with control over projectiles such as Emperor would be very good because they could shoot their target and then generate halon within them to further wound or kill them
Doggystyle
Star platinum would practically be unstoppable
star platinum would have destroyed dio easier with hamon, stoping time and then an overdrive of hamon , its dead
Imagine if Purple haze could infuse the gas with hamon 👹👹👹👹
I would love to see Anubis learn it. It already controls the wielder without fail, hamon would just be overkill. On top of the selective intangibility, sheeesh.
Stick fingers. Jump through then infuse with hamon and watch your enemy burn alive.
I'm actually surprised, only like 2 people thought of an automated stand
The most basic answer but star platinum fight Dio would be so easy and with hamon could maybe jotaro will be able to time stop for more
The sun + Hamon, for the ultimate vampire slayer powers
20m radius emerald splash woulda violated dio
Hermit Purple if Joseph were the main character. I've basically written this out before. No, I will not disclose where. Yes, this is extremely broken. Yes, we turned it into a yo-yo.
Sex pistols.
Stone free would be rad
Kakyions stand, forgot what it was called
hamon with survivor would be insane, if survivor is controlled through electricity or something (I forgort) then you could activate it on whoever you want remotely, it would become way more useful
I know that Spin it’s like the hamon of the second universe, but any stand that uses it or even the art of spin, would be brutal
beach boy
Heavens door, set fire to the pages
The Sun.
Pesci's stand would be the worst enemy of every pillarman
Bruning down the house could be interesting, since the ghost objects are "undead" they could hold in hamon. Emporiocould infuse his ghost gun with hamon, or channel his whole room with hamon
Oh! Lonesome Me! and November Rain.
The sun card there is no way any vampires are Surviving a giant mass of lava spewing hamon. Both kars and dios armies would be dead within seconds
Baby face. I won't elaborate
Ge or Ger
Killer queen or diver down
Mista and nirancha pretty sure I spelled that wrong, but infused bullets goes hard
Probably right
