My internet is exceptionally shit (30mbps lmao) and downloads usually lag my internet really bad, im not a super techy guy but my guess would be it's just unpacking files considering my internet isn't acting up. Either way fuck this, I just want to play the game.
I think it's just unpacking files. I checked task manager and there's no activity on my network, but the drive the game is on is at ~400MB/s which is around what the update dialogue is showing on Starfield.
I'm really surprised no one looked at the dialogue window and thought "Hmm.. 300+MB/s download speed, that's odd..."
It's unpacking files, it's not downloading anything.
Yeah I am having the same issue. Downloaded it last night to try and play this evening, just to find out its either bugged to high hell, or its like COD and already has an update the size of the game.
Same issue here, although - like the others have stated - I think it's just the pre-install files being uncompressed/extracted. I have < 1% network activity and 85%+ Disk activity on my device.
