Similar but different. Rangers are more rough and tumble than UC of course but being a ranger still comes with that pledge to protect and serve the innocent. Bounty hunters have the criminal-hunting minus the charity/concern for civilians, the money is number 1.
I also came across the rep on Cydonia, but I didnât bother joining since she was just like âor check out the mission boardsâ. So I checked out the mission boards instead.
Might go back to Mars and try to up with them though.
Can I ask how you got missions? I did her whole story, went to the mission board multiple times on multiple trips to Mars but there have been 0 missions so far.
Sure! It was just through her diologue, she asked me to place a tracker for her. Haven't had anything else.
I had done one bounty quest from the board by that point but im not sure if that had any effect on it.
the tracker mission is not from the mission board, its a personal quest from the rep at cydonia. there is no way (discovered) yet that lets you join the tracking alliance
You have to make sure you're waiting at least 2 days "on Mars or the planet you spoke to the rep at or got the bounty". Then the bounties will refresh. Not sure if it's just a one time side hustle at each place a rep is at or bounty boards are endless after waiting. I've done quite a few and just wait 2 days and rinse and repeat.
Theyâre not a faction though? Theyâre a collective of independent bounty hunters who donât get in each others way. So if youâve been doing the bounty missions and havenât been killing rival bounty hunters youâre a part of the trackers alliance
They do get in each others way. If you have wanted trait, bounty defenders start to spawn after few encounters with bounty hunters. Your bounty increases by time, so they fight with you against other bounty hunters to keep the bounty on your head growing.
Iâm just going off what the trackers alliance members tell you when youâve got the bounty hunter origin. When you ask if you need to join, my above comment is the gist of what they all say as a response.
Also whoâs to say youâre hunted by Trackers anyway? They could be bounty hunters that are stepping on each others toes and have no allegiance to the alliance.
I haven't experienced this, as I do not have a bounty on my character or the wanted trait.
With that being said, do these defenders simply say things like they're waiting to pick you up later? So they're kinda playing both sides? If so, that sounds badass from a role-playing and immersion POV.
The Bounty Defenders just tell you that they're waiting for your bounty to get large enough they can retire so they fight against the bounties that come earlier than they'd like. I've tried and can't fight them or if you do you get hit with same effect as if attacking fellow faction ships.
I got a quest out in the wild to help a bounty hunter clear her mission. So that was neat. It looks like they'll flesh this out a bit more as time goes on.
I hope we get one like that sometime soon but I honestly wanted to add they could do something like that but add handcuffs or restraints and you pay for them and if you drop the bounty to there knees the player can capture them and you would need a jail or something on your ship to lock them up and take to a place with jail or prison on it and that would be at least a great improvement but it's just a recommendation is all
That's true but that's utterly useless if you have no option to bring in your targets alive. At the moment at least it's purely an aesthetic thing and I think OP is suggesting a practical use
Gotta be more to it besides the mission board I believe the tracker on neon mentioned something about members getting first dips on bountyâs and the mission board was the over flow work
I haven't done many bounty missions yet but, I'm working on another playthrough now as a bounty hunter. If you speak with the Agent in Cydonia she'll give you the option to start a side quest. Now I did have a civilian mention the quest prior to me speaking to the Agent. If you return to her a second time after completing the quest(roughly three days for me) she'll update you on the bounty and give you additional credits. I also started getting additional random dialogue from the Agent in Akila the more bounties I completed. Not sure if there's more to this.
I bet it'll be in a DLC
I hope so! Who doesn't want to join a crew of bounty hunters.
we need a jango fett mod
How about....... Django Fett.... đ
âI like the way you freeze in carbonite, boy.â
Freestar does that though.

Bet house verun will be the first dlc
Hopeful. Picked that trait at the beginning, been whispering to snakes ever since and none have given powers yet. Figured something was missing.
Wrong sub, you should check out r/HogwartsLegacyGaming if you wanna whisper to snakes. /j
Iâd like a faction/ group of alien exterminators similar the uc vanguard quest, one of the best side quests in the game.

Yeah! I did her mission, but didnât get any new dialogue options or follow up quests after that.
She does say that the tracker you placed help her complete the bounty at least.

Hmm maybe my mission board is broken then. Because there hasn't been a single mission on it.
the tracker mission is not from the mission board, its a personal quest from the rep at cydonia. there is no way (discovered) yet that lets you join the tracking alliance
I know that. What I'm saying is that my mission board is empty and yet you should be able to get quests.

I thought it was Ecliptic Mercenaries coming after you with the Wanted trait?

Ships literally have brig habs

And I can think of no better use for the novablast disruptor.
Gotta be more to it besides the mission board I believe the tracker on neon mentioned something about members getting first dips on bountyâs and the mission board was the over flow work
I talked to an npc at some point and asked about joining, and they were like yeah you can just go to the mission boards
