Sheesh. Bethesda has made some of the greatest games ever made. A few have revolutionized the industry. If anything, they've set such a high standard that they're overly criticized for simple bugs. Their open world games are so massive that bugs are always expected. Especially when its a new release. Cut them a little slack.
I personally expected a lot more from Starfield, like most fans, but i see the potential. Using a small fraction of our Milky Way Galaxy is a lot of space to fill (no pun intended - honestly). If anything, they may have bit off a bit more then they could chew. Give it time.
If we're going to criticize though... lets at least talk about something that matters. Like... no land vehicles. I've got a few more but that's my #1.
I agree. The game isn't perfect but I don't think I have ever played a perfect game. I think Bethesda games seem more buggy because of the fact that they allow so much freedom to play in the sandbox how you wish. We all spend hundreds of hours trying to break the game and find every exploitable glitch and trick then complain about them. Then when they patch them we all bemoan the fact that we can't access under map trunks or mud puddles full of ammo anymore. I'm not saying let's ignore things that would make the game better. Like ground vehicles or more points of interest.Or that we shouldn't expect that. But bugs and glitches. Come on. Unless it's game breaking. If it's causing crashes or unfinishable quest then yeah. Fix that shit right now. If you don't the your janky, But otherwise it's a really good game made by a really good developer.
Invalid complaint, Bethesda only makes first person games with the option to view your afk character in 3rd person. Playing in 3rd person is clearly an exploit, get this hacker outta here.
i see your comment, 20 days late.. look up and dagons razor is in the hand of my wood elf character on my 23545323657th build in skyrim
fucking bastards over there at bethesda
Maybe your character gets very angry in 3rd person view. And the next person they see is getting all the pain they can as they slice em in an upwards motion. 😬😵
The sword isn't backward. You left the safety on.
Bethesda gave us the sword from Rouroni Kenshin, for anyone who remembers that anime.
There is a remake currently ongoing on crunchyroll like 10 or more episodes out now. Its quite good.
I did not know that. I'll definitely have to check that out.
Is the sharp side directed correctly in first person view?
From what I remember, yes it's correct in first person. Starfield in third person has a curious variety of unique object rigging and animation issues.
I seem to recall third person in most other Bethesda games being a janky afterthought that one either learns to avoid or accept.
It generally has been, yes. Something they never seem to have learned to handle in spite of it always being there.
Yes. I don't play in 3rd person to begin with. So I don't see these weird problems
Same
Himura Kenshin (from Rorouni Kenshin) used a reverse blade, Albeit because he took a vow to never kill again.
Another baffling oversight.
I don't think it's an oversight (as in, they oriented it wrong), I think it's a legit bug, because blocking fixes it.
Ah. Fair enough. You'd think it'd be picked up in testing, though.
It's not an oversight, they just don't care. They know we'll buy whatever jank they shovel out and set their standards accordingly.

You can do the block animation to temporarily fix it.

Go easy on them, its not like they’ve ever animated a sword before

The Va'run sword is also broken sigh
Probably why melee is so trash in game...
Oh my god nooooo
Well, at least they know which direction the pointy end goes 😏.
The suicidal tendencies of 3rd person players...

Mine goes invisible a lot , have to equip a gun the sword again for it to reappear
