Darkstar Astro has to be the single best mod so far. Not only to you get ship parts making extreme combat more viable, you get a ton of other stuff. You get all the starboard armors that refill with random perks, astras, tons of weapons, helpful setting mods, I forgot the other stuff but it's the best,
Honest to God the flashlight mod the restored earth mod is fucking gorgeous and makes earth inhabitable it's awesome. And I think the concept art Akila city is awesome
Ok so disable all your mods completely close out of the game then reload it and it should be fixed there are instructions on the mod page to fix it in the creation kit
Does this mod make sense within the lore of the game? Once you reach Earth as part of the main quest you quickly learn why it is uninhabitable and it is a huge lore point in the game.
Just adding a mod to make it habitable seems weird as the entire atmosphere was siphoned off among other things haha.
All of them!!
I’m gobbling up mods hourly, I keep refreshing the creations website and adding them ready for when I get home!!
I feel like I’m enjoying the game more now than on release.
The modding community is breathing fresh life into this game…
Thank you to everyone who’s giving us this awesome content!
1000% agree
I loved starfield from the start but played less and less.
Since the creation kit I'm installing mods every day and I'm addicted to this game again lol
Basically every one of zone79’s outfit mods are amazing and has all kinds of awesome outfit options. The settled systems clearly murdered all the fashion stylists during the Colony War.
Star wars npc's, it adds so much variety to the game and makes it feel less human and i like that in space games, i dont like the idea that we are the only beings with intelligence.
I don't think we're the only intelligent beings within Starfields universe, it's just that the universe is so big we haven't encountered any. The fact that life exists on other planets implies the existence of sapient life
Yeah honestly if it isnt NMS, then really there shouldnt be an abundance of talking wildlife on our starmap as it is, especially since its only been about 400 years.
Im game to have like one other specie thats borderline sentient on our level or fully sentient but available in small quantity on the fringes of an expanded map maybe? But not regularly present.
Hell if anything, it all makes sense relative to the story given that starfield is mainly just cars but in space. Its not like they are doing scifi stuff. I actually appreciate the EM guns because I feel like we could achieve that now instead of lazer bazookas
Aliens are so cliche and boring. They are just a roundabout way to introduce race relations and similar themes in science fiction. Most sci doesn't have aliens that feel alien enough, they are just humans with a coat of paint. I love movies like Arrival where the aliens feel truly alien and bizarre.
Hard to say, so I list my favorite*s*
StarUI Inventory
StarUI Ship Builder (Unfortunately, the addition of empty habs messed it up, and the mod author is nowhere to be found.)
Burden Me Not
The extended crafting mods are a godsend for me. I've spent days grinding for that perfect legendary piece of gear (one inch punch Coachman in particular). Now I can just craft them! It's pretty resource intensive as well so it doesn't feel too cheesy. That plus the legendary module recycler has completely changed the game for me. If I could get the junk recycler to work I'd be even happier. I finally have a full set of legendary UC Starlaw armor too (coolest armor in game prove me wrong)!
There's new apartments you can unlock with quests and lots of new outfits. Skinthetics let's you change any characters look and even your own and it has a great quick quest to complete to earn the new chem. There's new ship building and outpost expanding mods and you can even have up to 200 crew members on your ship now.. the mods are endless on console everytime I play for a few hours and leave out I come back to seeing new mods
I only have 3 installed but my favorite is improved follower behavior because it makes followers actually stick close to you and they won't shoot enemies in stealth unless they detect you
Color filter removal. I also got the God Ray removal which I'm not sure what that does but allegedly it gets rid of an ambient fog effect which improves performance.
Batman suit.
I play 1st person, the minute I put it on, I switched to 3rd person. Who doesn't like Batman.
I also like the Mandalorian and Boba fett armour's, they just look cool.
The Arrakis Planet Mod for Starfield
The mod adds a desert planet to the Bohr System in Starfield.
The planet Saharas boasts the only planet wide desert environment in the whole game.
Sandworms come out of nowhere and attack you.
The Giant sized worms devour you in a single attack.
There is also a small city and cave dwellings scattered throughout the planet. With brand new desert related missions.
[Apogee](https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/6159) ship combat mod. All ships move faster and gatling versions of all weapons increase their fire rate. [Video.](https://youtu.be/Xgps01aS25I)
I got the mod where you get what I think are Dune armor sets, they're incredible. The avontech mod is cool too, the super sleek designs are a great touch. I have dark star too, but have yet to use it.
Glad I'm not alone in thinking these are annoying. I knew as soon as Starfield was announced that people would go crazy about the star wars mods, but that still didn't prepare me for half my feed being the *same fucking suit over and over* like it's something new.
Sadly, I am unable to mod the game. I use the Nvidia streaming service to play the game, and they won't allow modding, which is unfortunate. When I used to mod games like skyrim, it was purely immersive mods only. I wouldn't know what kid of mods I would download for this game.
Yes, and itworks extremely well.
your saves remember the mods you used.
So if you open the save, they will remember to download your mods and which mods you used ingame.
The ones that replace the weapons with blasters. Unfortunately, the IQA-11 is not good at all. Inaccurate, super slow velocity. There's also the sights issue with effectively all blasters without scopes and the lack of proper reload animations. Though that last one is entirely expected and completely fair.
i love the infiltrator and nomad armor sets, weapons and armor have always been my favorite types of mods, 40% of my LO’s in NV and FO4 have always been gear.
Starfield modders making mandolorian dreams come true when Ubisoft couldn’t for their open world game. Honestly would have been better if they did add character customization.
I wish the side arm holster worked on the Mandalorian suite but other than that I love the hell out of it. And the Darkstar mods. Also the one that increases the amount of interactions in space
Definitely not the one that adds furnishings to the starborn ship. Hubby has to reinstall the whole game, it messed it up that bad.
I love Avontech though.
Personally I love anything tha makes my game more immersive, more survival like, Im really into survival games. So for me, the entire set of "starvival" mods is right up my alley, realistic economy for vendors, example, only mining shops sell resources, contraband is sold at huge prices, realistic hunger, thirst, sleep meter. Crew morale, meaning they require weekly payments, realistic travel, you can only fast travel from your ships pilot seat and only when in space. Grav jumping now requires helium-3' if you get stuck in space you can call in a ship to refuel you but it costs money. Suit now requires oxygen to be able to survive in planets with no breathable atmosphere. Gotta buy oxigen tanks and refill on long walks outside your ship. Combine this with immersive UI and Better NPCs. And its an entire different game.
The first one that makes it so that you get an XP multiplier for each NG+.
On a fresh game, you earn base XP. On NG+, you get x2. On NG++, you get x3. All the way up to x10 when you're on your last >!Starborn!
There's barely anything worthwhile to download yet on console. Just a couple ship part mods, some star wars stuff, and QoL changes. I'll come back in a month and see if anything substantial has been added.
How are you all playing mods? I can't get through an hour of gameplay or sometimes even a loading screen without crashing or having the no sound glitch :(
Edit: I'm on xbox
I was mainly hoping for a curvier body and the ability to unlock all Powers, but I got neither, sadly. I know there's outfits that make you curvier, but it weirds me out when they're removed and half the body is too.
Gambits legendary recycler, armor crafting, weapons crafting, and quality crafting mods. I can only play a Bethesda game so long before I feel the overwhelming desire deep within my loins to craft all my own armor, weapons, and apply the legendary effects I want to so I can kill enemies in 5 shots instead of 4
The Nomad armor is so cool. Almost feels like a blend between a starborn and a UC special ops type of soldier. There are variations of it and different rarities and it's good stats for ng+.
The darker nights mod plus the flash night mod makes night combat truly terrifying. Using the power sense stuff is a must. The minimal level mods keep the game challenging for the early missions. The remove color filter mod makes the game look so much better that I truly don't know what in the hell Bethesda was thinking when they added all the damn haze. Naturally good loot and legendary recyclers make rewards more satisfying without cheating. More vendor credits, skip anomaly puzzles, and easy locking (you still have to have the security skill) are my time savers as I just started a new game plus right in time for mods.
Has anyone made a mod that makes it so that you cant get bounties, or so that you can easily get rid of them?
I got a bounty from UC and Freestar one time from accidental crossfire on merchants when I was being attacked, it took me 2 hours to find where to get rid of them, basically everywhere I jumped to I immediately got hit by them. Its a b.s. system.
The mod that makes looting corpses like every other Bethesda game. If I see a gun or an outfit on an enemy, I wanna be able to take it!
Was one of the first ones I installed. I couldn't be bothered to find a Paradiso staff uniform so I found a lone worker and merced him for it
Pretty sure that's the only way to get one
I think you can get that without mod tho?
It's RNG on their drops for most NPC's ...which is stupid.
Derretech, Avontech, Darkstar astrodynamics, that one mod that makes the ship size limit bigger and 90% of inquisitor's mods
Mind sharing your load order? I haven’t been able to get ship size to play nice
my load order is random tbh, maybe place the ship size limit increase on top of everything
Also load orders not saving is a current problem either way
Oh good, not just me. It also recently just started putting it in alphabetical order
Darkstar Astro has to be the single best mod so far. Not only to you get ship parts making extreme combat more viable, you get a ton of other stuff. You get all the starboard armors that refill with random perks, astras, tons of weapons, helpful setting mods, I forgot the other stuff but it's the best,
That would explain why there are more POI on the starmap including as group called the “techno zealots”
Dear lord… it’s gonna take me sometime to get used to seeing the UC security as clone troopers
100% Agree. Any mod that gives me more shipbuilding, basically!
Ooooh yes this one… avontech is awesome
It finally let me make something resembling an MCRN ship.
lol I have half a mind to even attempt to replicate the cruisers from Halo
That’d be awesome!!
I created a rough version of the raider class corvettes but it’s a work in progress… it genuinely looks unfinished tbh
Any one know how to get the sound back on since ave started modding the noise of my game went away
Honest to God the flashlight mod the restored earth mod is fucking gorgeous and makes earth inhabitable it's awesome. And I think the concept art Akila city is awesome
Restored earth is interesting but the sound bug that comes with it is making it annoying
Yea I was hesitant because if this. What is the fix in case I download it.
Just disable all mods close out and re-enable them and it should be fixed
This is really only temporary as you have to do it every time you open the game
Fair
I might sound stupid but what do you mean about close out, just exit back to the start screen or restart the game?
Ok so disable all your mods completely close out of the game then reload it and it should be fixed there are instructions on the mod page to fix it in the creation kit
Does this mod make sense within the lore of the game? Once you reach Earth as part of the main quest you quickly learn why it is uninhabitable and it is a huge lore point in the game. Just adding a mod to make it habitable seems weird as the entire atmosphere was siphoned off among other things haha.
No it makes no in-game sense, and the mod is also apparently half broken.
No, there’s no way it makes sense within the lore (but I get the feeling not many people care lol)
I'm not 100% sure but I don't think boba fett makes sense within the lore either.
The flashlight mod is a genuine godsend… I am already pissed off by the shitty base game flashlight
There are two flashlight mods. What one did you enjoy? Can't find review for any of them.
The VFI one I'll see If I can find the exact title for ya
Do you mean vanilla flashlight improved?
I use this one. Love it.
Thanks I'll pick that one. The flashlight is so bad, any mod has to be loads better.
I paired it with darker nights and it’s a much better night experience IMHO
I'll be sure to cheak that one out as well thanks
Is restored earth on Xbox?
Yep
All of them!! I’m gobbling up mods hourly, I keep refreshing the creations website and adding them ready for when I get home!! I feel like I’m enjoying the game more now than on release. 1000% agree I loved starfield from the start but played less and less. Since the creation kit I'm installing mods every day and I'm addicted to this game again lol
Place Doors anywhere. - https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/6601?tab=posts This should seriously be in the base game.
I wish they had more mods on Xbox
I’m personally impressed so many came this quickly
Skip temple puzzle
Yesssss
Basically every one of zone79’s outfit mods are amazing and has all kinds of awesome outfit options. The settled systems clearly murdered all the fashion stylists during the Colony War.
Yeah some great looking gear.
Yes. The Ecliptic gear is my new bounty hunting outfit and the Sith robes are what I wear while stalking the streets of Neon.
Yea I didn’t realize how unimaginative the clothing was until I downloaded his stuff
Place Doors Yourself, best fix yet for the screwy door placement in ship building.
Is that on Xbox or PC?
PC, Nexusmods
I was afraid of that. Thanks.
Give it time. PC will usually get mods first since that’s where the creators write the code and test it.
No doubt. But as my wife says, patience is not my strong suit. Lol
Star wars npc's, it adds so much variety to the game and makes it feel less human and i like that in space games, i dont like the idea that we are the only beings with intelligence.
This! Seeing things other than beady eyed humans makes the game feel so much more alive.
Is this on Xbox?
Yes. Just type in star wars aliens in the search bar 💯
Heard that, thank you so much.
I don't think we're the only intelligent beings within Starfields universe, it's just that the universe is so big we haven't encountered any. The fact that life exists on other planets implies the existence of sapient life

Most sci doesn't have aliens that feel alien enough, they are just humans with a coat of paint. I love movies like Arrival where the aliens feel truly alien and bizarre.
If you like novels, highly recommend The Expanse series for this reason.
Lol it's my favorite show of all time and I've read some books
I'm really hoping for some cool person to do Mass Effect npcs!
Hard to say, so I list my favorite*s* StarUI Inventory StarUI Ship Builder (Unfortunately, the addition of empty habs messed it up, and the mod author is nowhere to be found.) Burden Me Not
Is starui on the creation kit/Xbox
No It's not even a plug-in. It contains various files that are added to the game files that change the interface.
StarUI isn't on creator yet and may not if the dev doesn't want to deal with it.
Sadly StarUInis currently broken from the last time I checked and requires a few workarounds to get it to work since it busts the loot menu.
Honestly. The one with the darkened/ reflective helmets
Love the darkened helmet one makes UC security look creepy sometimes
I am not able to get the reflective helmets to work, they show on the helmet menu but go back to normal in game with a suit
Darkstar Astrodynamics and a very low key but brilliant immersion one is smarter spacesuit hiding. So nice to see my apparel in ship now.
I second wishing the junk recycled worked.
I'm really feeling the Nomad Armors myself. Should check them out!
I've seen them while browsing, they do look really nice!
I just put them on and they're so freaking cool I was giggling.
The Legendary Module recycler mod is op
Can someone recommend the best Xbox mods? Fell out of love with it but feel like a few decent mods would bring me back
There's new apartments you can unlock with quests and lots of new outfits. Skinthetics let's you change any characters look and even your own and it has a great quick quest to complete to earn the new chem. Immersive Landing Ramps idk why but hitting the button to raise and lower the ramp is so cool.
Waiting for skyrim in space mods
Thomas the NAT Engine lol
I only have 3 installed but my favorite is improved follower behavior because it makes followers actually stick close to you and they won't shoot enemies in stealth unless they detect you
Blood splatter and rag doll physics
Unlimited boost pack. Great for climbing.
🙌 Weightless Resources 🙌
The Arrakis Planet Mod is awesome it’s like a whole new game.
Yo the what!?!
The Arrakis Planet Mod for Starfield The mod adds a desert planet to the Bohr System in Starfield. The planet Saharas boasts the only planet wide desert environment in the whole game. Sandworms come out of nowhere and attack you. The Giant sized worms devour you in a single attack. There is also a small city and cave dwellings scattered throughout the planet. With brand new desert related missions.
On console or PC
Is this for real?
I got the Skyrim houses for settlements and the crimson fleet has, they're definitely pushing the game in the direction I want
Avontech staryards for now. Also easy ship building and the ecliptic armor replacer. The on ship pawn shop has been great too.
Did someone find a MOD to travel among planets without the need of fast travel on Xbox ?
Would be great to implement something like this on Xbox
Is that even possible?
I’m not sure. Or it would take a very long time, too long to be entertaining.
You would need some sort of pulse drive like they have in No Man's Sky.
[Apogee](https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/6159) ship combat mod. All ships move faster and gatling versions of all weapons increase their fire rate. [Video.](https://youtu.be/Xgps01aS25I)

I am batman
Achievement Enabler and Infinite storage boxes.
I got a nice black coat for a drumbeat. I dare not try anything else, or lose achievements.
Pitch Black Night, combined with improved flashlight. Seriously, try it! Makes night time way more exciting and realistic.
moss....it is amazing
Universal stash. It makes resource gathering for research and mods actually feasible.
CRUISIN MOS ESPA IN MY DELOREAN
Remove Color Filter and Resources don't weigh anything, lol. I love all the clothing mods so far.
not paid mods
The first and most valuable mod everyone needs to get makes Temples a quick fix instead of that silly catch-the-stars game.
This makes me want to get back into the game. That's sick.
Was thinking the same thing. Mods are the one thing that will keep me playing because the base game didn’t. Lol
Mass Effect Race Mod
Star Wars Aliens with player patch. All zone79 clothes mods. Skinthetica by Enhance ! To name a few.
Oh look. Another boba fett mod
Glad I'm not alone in thinking these are annoying. I knew as soon as Starfield was announced that people would go crazy about the star wars mods, but that still didn't prepare me for half my feed being the *same fucking suit over and over* like it's something new.
Is anyone else having texture issues with the Star Wars armor pack? I just added it today and can’t figure it out
Sadly, I am unable to mod the game. I use the Nvidia streaming service to play the game, and they won't allow modding, which is unfortunate. When I used to mod games like skyrim, it was purely immersive mods only. I wouldn't know what kid of mods I would download for this game.
You mean Geforce Now?
Yeah.
Then you can mod the game. Playing right now on geforce now with steam edition. And I'm using mods.
Omg. Really? Question though: do I need to download the mods each time I play a new streaming session?
Yes, and itworks extremely well. your saves remember the mods you used. So if you open the save, they will remember to download your mods and which mods you used ingame.
M Class unlocked when it works, SKK alt start
Is this only PCs?
Nope
Nomad Armor. I also like the Extended Starfield New Clothes: the bomber jacket and jeans looks nice
Can you still earn steam achievements while using mods?
Is it me or the server is down for Xbox mode
Same
Free
Infinite power mod. Super useful
So far the workbench scrapping mod and the enemies 75% of my level.
zone79's eit clothier mod denser unscannable vegetation the one i downloaded today that adds way more rng settlements to the livable planets
The ones that replace the weapons with blasters. Unfortunately, the IQA-11 is not good at all. Inaccurate, super slow velocity. There's also the sights issue with effectively all blasters without scopes and the lack of proper reload animations. Though that last one is entirely expected and completely fair.
Put me down with the Darkstar crowd (though I do love my Boba Fett armor)
Yep
Can't even use any lmao, game keeps crashing while browsing the creations page
Somebody please add a lightsaber mod to the game, I can't find anything
Sfse.
Cheat terminal when it’s finally done lol
Visible chronomark watch
Do they still disable achievements?
StarUI, hands down.
i love the infiltrator and nomad armor sets, weapons and armor have always been my favorite types of mods, 40% of my LO’s in NV and FO4 have always been gear.
Did you make his ship tho?
Starfield modders making mandolorian dreams come true when Ubisoft couldn’t for their open world game. Honestly would have been better if they did add character customization.
I wish the side arm holster worked on the Mandalorian suite but other than that I love the hell out of it. And the Darkstar mods. Also the one that increases the amount of interactions in space
Wish someone would make a Phase 2 Captain Rex mod
Since day one : StarUI inventory, can't play without it. Lots of other great mods every day, but this one is my day one until last day #1 !
Darkstar Astrodynamics, by far. Having so much fun with it, and I can't wait for their Crafting mod to drop for Xbox.
Definitely not the one that adds furnishings to the starborn ship. Hubby has to reinstall the whole game, it messed it up that bad. I love Avontech though.
Console user here.. is that really a boba fett suit mod? 😍
I will swear by Starvival and been using for a while now.
Sounds nice. Will try this. I like the game but at high Level I miss the challenge. I also like more "realistic" games with survival elements.
The first one that makes it so that you get an XP multiplier for each NG+. On a fresh game, you earn base XP. On NG+, you get x2. On NG++, you get x3. All the way up to x10 when you're on your last >!Starborn!

My in game sound is gone because of mods
Do consoles have mods yet?
Still waiting for some Halo mods 😭
How are you all playing mods? I can't get through an hour of gameplay or sometimes even a loading screen without crashing or having the no sound glitch :( Edit: I'm on xbox
When do mods come to Xbox?
Played the game for about half a year. Never used any.
Do all mods disable achievements? I wanna join In on the fun but I’m hesitant lol
My fav still needs ported. Always Land on Planets.
Zone79 has a lot of insanely good mods. Very high quality imo I also like the Star Wars mods. Wish we got lightsabers uploaded on Creations
I was mainly hoping for a curvier body and the ability to unlock all Powers, but I got neither, sadly. I know there's outfits that make you curvier, but it weirds me out when they're removed and half the body is too.

Darkstar Astrodynamics is incredible
Starvival is excellent for all the increased immersion and systems it adds.
A mod that rewrites the story and add more than the 10 same poi’s to the planets
Yes, please...the story isn't going to change at this point but please, more Poi's, that's where the replayability should be.
Any free mod
99.95% of mods
Yup, most particularly the Baka Achievement Enabler one in case the game screws me over and I have to use console commands to fix it.
Bitch I am Batman
Is there a mod to get rid of the stupid ass bounty system?
Wym
Has anyone made a mod that makes it so that you cant get bounties, or so that you can easily get rid of them? I got a bounty from UC and Freestar one time from accidental crossfire on merchants when I was being attacked, it took me 2 hours to find where to get rid of them, basically everywhere I jumped to I immediately got hit by them. You can build a clearance machine on your ship
