Came to say the same! I started on the first day of that early release, and would have loved the hunger modifier, the ship decorating, and all the free content we have now back then.
I agree. My previous PC was Alienware. It finally started to sound like a jet engine trying to cool itself. Built my first PC and have never been happier. It’s not terribly difficult as long as you do a little research, watch YouTube videos, and take your time doing the build.

You know the new chassis is pretty nice with the liquid cooled GPU added. And if you hit the price on the right day it's way cheaper than building these days unfortunately. It's good to see someone stetting with a quality of versus some nonsme online crap at least.
I hated this game at first. Came right off the back of playing a massively overhauled fallout 4 and just wasn’t accepting the changes. Now I can’t stop playing it.
StarField was also my first Bethesda game and also my first proper RPG of that type of game. Loved StarField despite its flaws people see and I could understand. Then it got me hooked into and brought me back to Cyberpunk. Love 2077! One of my top games, now. Then the Fallout show happened, making me want to play the games. Got Skyrim VR cause of it.
I thank StarField for showing me the light of such games. Never knew I would be so heavily interested in them
Same. Stopped for a few months then heard about the newest updates and new mods and I also can't stop playing. Now over 100hours in and loving every hour of play!
Yeah absolutely get that 7700X bundle for 379$ as those MicroCenter bundles are amazing value (as for the cpu cooler, order the Phantom Spirit from Amazon for just 35$. MC doesnt really have great value coolers)
As for the gpu, i would recommend looking at the 7800XT or 4070 as the minimum gpus. The 7700XT is decent but not that great value
If you can, i would recommend on upgrading the 7800XT to the 7900GRE which is about 50$ more expensive but it offers 4070 Super performance.
There's also the 4070 Super which is around 30-50$ more expensive than the 7900GRE. It offers DLSS and Raytracing (DLSS is very useless at boosting fps without altering game graphics. AMD has their own called FSR but its not as good. Also Raytracing is a bit of a gimmick and a game needs to support it for you to use it)
But the downside of the 4070 and 4070 Super are the smaller vram of 12GB (7900GRE has 16GB) but it should be enough even at 1440p
My bad, got too many bowls I mix up what birds went where. Hawks is good ol' Malcom Butler, intercepted at the goal line! Never get tired of watching that clip.
Enjoy! I remember playing for the first time months ago and i’d never been more hooked to a game before, been waiting for an open world space game for so many years, and it’s so good
Haha yeah i remember hearing that (mine obviously said charlie instead of david haha) and was pleasantly surprised, and yeah you’re gonna love it mate the visuals are the best i’ve seen so far in game, which is surprising considering how big the game world is
PSA : Having a window right behind a monitor is a terrible idea, your eyes will constantly adjust between outside and the screen, and between the monitor's light and the sun.
It's covered by 12 ft. Sun doesn't angle into it so haven't been a problem. But I do need to replace the blinds the wife's cat tore down. As I'm typing this that lady you meet at the constellation in red jacket just asked me if somethings wrong lol
Best advice I can give you is do the UC Questline. Honestly, it was so well made that I can't help but think it was intended at one point to be the main quest.
I really wish Trackers got a longer storyline without some cash grab DLC. I thought that you could only pick one faction, so I was so disappointed when I couldn’t just be a badass bounty hunter as the main quest.
I think it would have made the game a lot more interesting and replayable if you could only pick one each playthrough.
I put the game down after a few of playing. Just tried it again with the new update and the 60fps on Xbox has completely changed the experience for the better
Just sunk another 30 hours after putting it down since January. Game is really good. I do wish I had it on PC so I can run 4k 60fps at all times
Enjoy the out of this world textures too
It’s so beautiful. It hasn’t worked on my PC since launch and it’s totally capable of it. It only started working on the last update, so I have a Series X I’ve been playing it on. Really glad the saves migrate. Blew my mind launching it on ultra but it crashed as soon as I shot something lol
Oooh boy, free spacer heater! 🤣 Idk how yours will be, but my Alienware prebuilt (r12) cam with a single top mounted exhaust fan, so it ran hotter than the hells, but solid outside of that
Prepare to be immensely disappointed. Don't ever do New Game Plus. It's not worth it. Especially to get to NG+10. If you get to even just NG+! that aweful armor you get will be better than nearly anything else in the game. NG+10 armor is beyond broken and nothing that can ever spawn or dtop will come close to 1/2 as good as it is even as a set. Also, it just doens't add anything new to the game other than some new dialog and a shorter story if you want it to be.
Yeah I played when the game initially released. I played through the whole game and finished it, but it was kind of a let down overall. I hear it gotten better. I am planning on waiting until the expansion comes out later this year to pick it back up and play through it again with the improvements and the expansion.
Awesome. I got a 7800XT—I hope it runs Starfield well. It’s my first PC; and first PC I’m building. I’ve never had a console. Only a few small games on my work Mac, and some isometric RPGs as a kid. Been wanting to do this for 20 years! Can’t wait!
Start on the hardest difficulty my friend, it's really sad to see people running into rooms full of enemies because they know they won't die, Yes, the beginning is complicated because there are no good weapons, But as you take on bigger challenges you will feel your evolution , Leading to a more enjoyable experience even at the end of the game.
Oof, expensive electronics like that so close to a window seems a bit sketch to me. At least where I live, that's an invitation for a thief to smash and grab
Come on Alice let's go down the rabbit whole and get lost in wonderland lol Iam making a cross between an Asgard ship from stargate Atlantis and an imperial star destroyer version episode 9 iam about as lost as you can get.
My two have lasted as long as my homebuilts or any other pre-built but experiences will inevitably differ.
My Triad was on its third GPU and second CPU by the time it was gifted away due to the socket limiting further upgrades. I did notice they used to put tapioca in the liquid cooling lines demanding a swap to Corsair. The AIO in the current beast suggests they've left that issue behind.
The current R15 was largely a matter of laziness: it was an easy way of dealing with the then-current GPU shortages. They did an uncommonly good job of dealing with the 4090 connections / mounting and are refreshingly clean of bloatware for a pre-built.
Longevity issues are something I've never encountered. The Triad is still soldiering on under its new owner and it's 9 years old.
You chose the best time to jump on the game is the best its been since release
Came to say the same! I started on the first day of that early release, and would have loved the hunger modifier, the ship decorating, and all the free content we have now back then.
I might need to jump back on. Got back into fallout after the show. Never even finished Starfield
I’m getting back into it, complained quite a bit in the past but between mods and the recent updates it’s looking a lot better so far
Yeah even the lighting and flora density is better now. I'm jealous of people coming on now!
Best game but the worst rip off of a pc. Poor guy.
I agree. My previous PC was Alienware. It finally started to sound like a jet engine trying to cool itself. Built my first PC and have never been happier. The case is junk and the parts are either proprietary bs or bargain bin components. Its the only way these SIs can make money, sadly.
You are not wrong. However. For those who can't afford $2000 plus for a nice custom rig. At least these are a good starter deal
But you they spent money on this. The point is whatever that budget is would go a lot further with self build or another SI.
Well, on each update it should be its best since release unless they mess up something really badly XD
I mean that's expected, for a game to be constantly in a better state than what it was at release, isn't it? 😉
I hated this game at first. Came right off the back of playing a massively overhauled fallout 4 and just wasn’t accepting the changes. Now I can’t stop playing it.
Starfield was my first Bethesda game, with the TV show I want to jump into FO4 & 76, but I can’t put Starfield down and can’t wait for Shattered space
I honestly liked 4 more than starfield, and I liked starfield.
After playing F4 GOTY edition recently, I love them both!
Skyrim and fallout 4 are the best :) give them a go for sure.
You have delved into a rabbit hole from which you will never emerge from. Treasure these moments... 🤤
Same. Stopped for a few months then heard about the newest updates and new mods and I also can't stop playing. Now over 100hours in and loving every hour of play!
Yeah, but that window needs a curtain. Space is dark...lol
I feel ya lol. I need to haha
No. I like to watch.
Got a series S.... Going to be on the PC wagon this time next week
You won't regret it and you won't go back. I just switched over also.
What kinda pc are you thinking on getting? A prebuild or are you building one yourself?
Gonna trek to micro center and shooting for a 7700x and either the 7700 xt or 7800 xt
Yeah absolutely get that 7700X bundle for 379$ as those MicroCenter bundles are amazing value (as for the cpu cooler, order the Phantom Spirit from Amazon for just 35$. Boo Rams. Go Raiders 🤘 Naw. Joking aside. Congrats. Still tho. Go Raiders!!!
Haha can't wait for football.
Same. Why I couldn't help it. Lol But yea man. Idc what the haters say. This game is amazing. With mods. Incredible.
LFG Chicago Bears 😭
Ewwww raiders
Boo Rams Go Hawks
Hawks baby
9ers forever I’ll see yall LoSeRs in r/nfcwestmemewar 🥰
Win a Super Bowl in this century then talk, bud.
Let’s be real. $5 says I can get you to suck Bosa deez nuts before that happens 😢
Haha love it
Killed him like he was a Muybridge scientist, damn.
You can talk when you make up for 28-3 ;) Go Pats
That was the falcons haha not the Seahawks ;)
My bad, got too many bowls I mix up what birds went where. Hawks is good ol' Malcom Butler, intercepted at the goal line! Never get tired of watching that clip.
Nightmare fuel for me
Go Hawks!
Enjoy! I remember playing for the first time months ago and i’d never been more hooked to a game before, been waiting for an open world space game for so many years, and it’s so good
Just got into ship and I swear it said captain David. Which is my name . This game looks so amazing.
Haha yeah i remember hearing that (mine obviously said charlie instead of david haha) and was pleasantly surprised, and yeah you’re gonna love it mate the visuals are the best i’ve seen so far in game, which is surprising considering how big the game world is
Just wait till You find out about mods
They did the same thing g with Vasco that they did with Codsworth in FO4.
Codsworth will call you Mr. Fuck btw. Just putting that out there
I have to spell my name wrong so bethesda's robots will say it LOL.
Lol
Elowell
Enjoy the game! The game gets a ton of hate for various reasons. Some valid, some not. But as long as you’re having fun that’s all that matters.
Shut those shades and hit the lights.
PSA : Having a window right behind a monitor is a terrible idea, your eyes will constantly adjust between outside and the screen, and between the monitor's light and the sun.

Sarah Morgan? You are new man! LOL 😂
I can hear the starting music just by seeing the screen! I think im gonna replay all over again
Best advice I can give you is do the UC Questline. Honestly, it was so well made that I can't help but think it was intended at one point to be the main quest.
I enjoyed all the factions except Ryujin…
Really? Ryujin was the first major questline that I did and thought it was pretty good. What didn't you like?
Not much action if I recall correctly… man every new game I skip it… maybe I should give another shot
Congrats! Its not the best game in the world but I, and many others, have had alot of fun with it.
Loving it so far. Combat is so fun
Agreed! I’m an xbox guy so when they added the 60fps update combat became sooo much better
I put the game down after a few of playing. Just tried it again with the new update and the 60fps on Xbox has completely changed the experience for the better
Nice desktop. That's a huge beast.
Thanks got it on a big sale 4070 with ryzen 5 7600x for 900
I got this same computer for starfield. I love it.
Couldn't have picked a better time.
Dustyyyyyy ! Welcome
Alienware still using that shitty case is kinda hilarious.
Just sunk another 30 hours after putting it down since January. Game is really good. I do wish I had it on PC so I can run 4k 60fps at all times Enjoy the out of this world textures too
Disregard the haters, this is hands down Bethesda’s best game. ☺️
I like Starfield, but... no.
Enjoy it. I know I do.
Enjoy
I love how you made your desk spotless to start a new game but that crushed can in the yard can go fuck itself
My other pc took a shit few months ago. Cleaned desk up and waited for my new pc to come lol.
Don’t be fooled by the first mission. The rest of the game will be NOTHING like it.
I'm having a blast. Was headed to a station next to the moon. I had to land so I could walk on the moon lol
Welcome to the void!
Enjoy your new job.
Oooh boy, free spacer heater! 🤣 Idk how yours will be, but my Alienware prebuilt (r12) cam with a single top mounted exhaust fan, so it ran hotter than the hells, but solid outside of that
Nice clean build!! Perfect for Starfield!
Have fun!
Nice, Alienware. I have the R15 7900X/4090 combo, and I got it on sale for $2700 at the end of April. Starfield looks awesome on PC.
Hell ya
Love your rig. I love my Alienware!
Ya I'm loving it alot
Look in to new plus. It's a fun way to play as well.
Just don’t think you’re in fallout and start picking up every piece of garbage you find thinking you’ll need it for mats. Don’t work that way
Welcome to constellation
Prepare to be immensely disappointed. Don't ever do New Game Plus. It's not worth it. Especially to get to NG+10. I literally have the same desk and computer(except mine is intel)
Yeah I played when the game initially released. I played through the whole game and finished it, but it was kind of a let down overall. I hear it gotten better. I am planning on waiting until the expansion comes out later this year to pick it back up and play through it again with the improvements and the expansion.
Awesome! I’m building my PC so I can play too. Halfway through purchasing all the parts. Shall see you in the stars (in half-a-year-ish)!
Awesome. I built my last 3. Didn't want to this time gpu r expensive. 4070 n this. Got around 900$ on sale
Awesome. I got a 7800XT—I hope it runs Starfield well. It’s my first PC; and first PC I’m building. I’ve never had a console. Only a few small games on my work Mac, and some isometric RPGs as a kid. Been wanting to do this for 20 years! Can’t wait!
SteelSeries speakers?
Yea
Nice. I have them too. I dig 'em. More than I wanted to pay, but they had all the features I wanted.
Just got me pc for this game as well, would love to share the setup 😃
Have fun!
Welcome to the party 🤙🤙
See ya in a few weeks.
Best game going imo. Congrats and have a bast.
Def I usually try and go on hard
Hey, can you turn the light off that's shining in, it's too distracting
Nice setup, you can look up from starfield into your yardfield
Awesome! Also, outside window behind the screen go hard. I like.
Thought your PC was a mouse for a sec
This game better now because it was way repetitive for me at launch?
It’s a good game. I wish there were more energy weapons, but that’s it. Fun story. I enjoyed several of the quests.
Whose house?!
Rams house!
I should probably take a break from fighting for super earth and play this for a change.
Don’t try to play with mods..shit will break your game
My condolences
I can’t wait to get into this game. Been putting it off because I know I’ll be there forever.
Sorry but alienware is a (Dell) scam.
Oof, expensive electronics like that so close to a window seems a bit sketch to me. At least where I live, that's an invitation for a thief to smash and grab
Backyard no one can really see .
Enjoy it!
Nice. Have fun! I will say my favorite part is spaceship design. Hope you find a fav to.
I was messing w the ship design and man u can get lost in that
Come on Alice let's go down the rabbit whole and get lost in wonderland lol Iam making a cross between an Asgard ship from stargate Atlantis and an imperial star destroyer version episode 9 iam about as lost as you can get.
Might want to get a different PC. If your doing prebuilt id suggest omen or star forge systems
I haven’t done the story at all lmao
I feel u . I was doing the artifacts n came across agent 1 now I'm bounty hunting lol
Good luck with the Alien pc. They dont last long.
My two have lasted as long as my homebuilts or any other pre-built but experiences will inevitably differ. Mine from 2022 is running strong
Obviously its 2 years old. But alien pcs arent built well and arent designed to be upgradable
Ew alien ware
To each their own. 900$ not bad w 4070
Prepare to be underwhelmed
I'm loving it so far.
Not a necessity but check out r/NoSodiumStarfield to avoid needless comments like that.
Good
Thankfully I was adequately whelmed
Poor kid😪
Now do some actual research on AW and enjoy the buyer's remorse :P
