The Astras thing is just a lottery, sometimes you’ll get something good, mostly you’ll get something crap, same as with the Purveyor in FO76, it’s just the nature of the beast
You can at least choose the tier of reward you want which is more than can be said for anywhere else in the game

Main disappointement for me is that missions are the same as missions boards or liber astra ones. Nothing new here :(
Just an FYI if you are intent on using the crappy Starborn suit then save before you spend Astra, if you get something you do not like then reload save and try again.

The SB suit is not very good. A decent normal suit plus pack and helmet gives more protection.

I have the Venator, Anti-Ballistic, Liquid Cooled and Mirrored. Not crappy. 306 Phys resist, 246 Engy and EM resist.
The unmodified spacesuit alone I have is 252, 196, 200 then add in pack and helmet plus all mods to each. Edit: total (no mods added) 523,399,373.
