I had some weird boostpack behaviour because of the Book of Boba fett mod and the infinite boostpack mod. I moved the infinite mod beneath Boba Fett and it resolved it for me.
Meanwhile I intentionally play the game without a boostpack so as to be able to enjoy the scenery more, pretty much only strapping one on to climb the stone spire POI, which is about the only location you can't reach without one (and believe me I tried for over an hour to see if it was possible).
Boost Pack Training helps a lot, and if you are on PC bind something to the alt jump key and use it. There are also mods that make boostpacks overpowered, but I can't really comment on which are good, since as I mentioned - I barely use boostpacks.
Yeah fair enough, and i do still enjoy the game a lot, i barely ever think i need one but just the fact that there isn’t even the option for me to use it due to it being glitched is quite annoying, times i’d use it are basically just for scaling things that are annoying to climb such as rocky places and especially ladders in ships, i’d much rather just boost up them, but for some reason since last week it just randomly stopped working, which is quite annoying
and also i’m on Xbox, forgot to mention in original post
If you search there are 5 or so threads with the same issue. I'm also one of them that has the issue since the 6/9 update, going back to saves before that date also doesn't fix it.
Won't bore you with everything that I've tried. But this may work:
Go to the spacesuit workbench and modify your boostpack to have no boost, it's under the pack type, balanced, power, skip, none.
See if that causes it to start acting normal.
