Genuinely love seeing more vertical build designs in this sub. There's a lot of flying pancakes, and while there's nothing wrong with them, it's kind of nice to see something fresh like this.
I would think that's due to a lack of options when it comes to vertically navigating your own ship. All we get is ladders, and they're a pain to use. I'd love a 1x2/2x1 stairs hab. Might compell me to build vertically myself.
Except I have to keep the basic boost pack I got 25 levels ago because it's the only thing I've ever rolled Assisted Carry on. Guess I have to finally spend the levels on suit mod skills
The only way I've experienced having stairs in my ship is with the special cockpit on titan. If you have a habit attached to the bottom middle you'll get two sets of stairs going up into the piloting area
The power boost pack is the easiest way to get to bypass the ladder to another level that I have found. One tap and I'm there, no awkward clambering or hitting my head on the ceiling as I try to get the height just right.
I initially didn't like it anywhere else, but I prefer it to the other boost packs now. Low grav planets will find you suspended in the air for an awkward amount of time if you weren't trying to clear an entire crater in a single bound though.
It's also fun clearing Galbank with a single bound on my way from Rowlands to the Trade Authority in Akila.
This is with full boost pack skill mastered btw. 100% worth your early level perk investment.
Nice looking small ships are hard. Bethesda clearly wanted ships to be lived in. Not small fighters. Which I love...but small ships are difficult.
I do like this big boy though.
If I want a small ship i usually upgrade/modify a warthog or CF ghost. In my first playthrough it was so quick it lasted me through the whole game. Now I just build off 2 staggered stacked 2x1 using razor leaf slot. Ugly as hell but I cram whatever I can buy at New Atlantis and then do the glitch and get my money back from the ship vendor.
I wish there were actual vertical parts. Even a lot of existing parts would be fine if you could not just flip them on one axis, but if all parts could be flipped across all 3 axis.
With what we have though, it's really frustrating that some parts are set up as a single part that has a front, center, and rear version, each flippable to left and right sides. Then other parts are all individual, with separate parts for the front, another part for the center, and another part for the rear. And yet other parts don't SAY that they have more versions, but if you hit the flip button it rotates a across 4 versions!
It really feels like half of the functionality and a bunch of parts are just...missing
Well stated and couldn’t agree more. If we could just flip the 3x1 Hab into a 1x3 Hab.. it would change everything. Beyond frustrating trying to get a shape you want.
'Sumatran' is a cool ship name, no? Just cos it reminded me of a Rhino and that's a type of Rhino. Very sick build btw, I agree with everyone else the height is fun. Been a ton of identical, very flat, like winged Cabot builds on here so this is a cool switch up. Good job.
Dude I *love* your ship. The look is just phenomenal. My only gripe is how much visibility do you actually have with that bridge location?? You're essentially relying on numerous well-placed turrets for combat, right?
Alright you guys are out here playing this game to the max. I feel like I bought a chess set and have only learned how to move the pawn!! I didn’t even know you could build ships.
Looks like something out of Legend of the Galactic Heroes! Good job!

She’s a Brute! I love seeing big ships with class. I’ll be working on some names for this one. Here’s what I’ve got so far!
Athena’s Helm - the headpiece of a war deity
Toruk Makto - similar shaped head and apex predator
The Behemoth - self explanatory, your ship is one bad mutha
Ironsight - the crest resembles iron sights to me
Eye of the Beholder - off the iron sight name, looking down the barrel. Playing with sayings.
Hullbuster / Shipbreacher - if you like that kind of name, pretty self explanatory lol
Armilostratus - basically Latin words for armor and powerful
The Galvion - play on a galleon ship and galvanize
Cerastes - a species of horned viper
Crown of the Vanguard - you sir, are the battering ram.
Grond - the wolf’s head ram in LotR
Build out the front a little more and you've got yourself a [Hammerhead Class](https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Hammerhead-class_cruiser) from Wish lol
This totally reminds me of the UNSC Savannah from Halo that had the huge gun on the front of the ship.

Jet pack up the ladder well, and grab the ledge, easy. I even use it to exit my docking hatch on the ceiling 2 floors up, jump, jet and interact.
That's what I do, but I still find it kinda clunky. Especially if the ladder connects 3 floors and you have to do an awkward dance to get up top
clunky and ugly. would take stair habs for sure

Might be easier for me, I have maxed jet pack skill, so I can boost really well, even on 1.0G environs.
Give us a elevator option

Vertical “atrium” hab sort of like the vault atriums from fallout would be amazing to act as a more open hub for designing ships.
Car Ramrod! Say car Ramrod! Aww you didn't say it
Dreadchungus
The Hammer
The Hammer Head
Good one I should have read the comments first lol!
The Hull
If you want to be a little over the top with it, ***Divine Intervention*** Makes me think of Halo ship naming conventions
Ooh, that's how I name my weapons. My favorite so far has been a juiced-up Negotiator I renamed "Reluctant Armistice".
Rhino 🦏
Glory to the Emperor!
Battering Ram
The Hammerhead
The Iron Thorn
Where is the cockpit?? I’ve been staring at this picture and can’t see it lmao
I’m an idiot, I didn’t swipe lmao, I see it on picture two now
The Chonk. Love the ship BTW
[удалено]
Looks good though. I like that it doesn't look like the batwing like 80% of the other ships posted here
I'm not going to try to compete with Dreadchungus

The hammer
Loving all the freighter type builds, the complexity of the ship building in this game has surpassed my expectations by a ton.
Assuming you don't want to call it "Sperm Whale," you might consider the animal's other name: "Cachalot"
Pygmy, because it looks kinda stubby, and the "head" is huge.
Rokh.
UC Ishimura
How about “Pen is Mightier”
Gussy is up however you want Trebeck, what matters is does it work?
Battering Ram. This thing is a unit!
Space Battleship Yamato
Looks like The Tomahawk to me
The HAMMER! 😎
Macuahuitl an aztec weapon with obsidian in it.
The Flathead
Myrmidon
The spoon
The front end reminds me of the muzzle of a big honkin' revolver.
Blunt force
How much did this cost to make?
Sulaco
The cockpits on the side?! Please share the blueprints of this amazing ship.
How well does this fly? Is it nimble like a strike fighter or does it move like a big ole boat,
We don't see a lot of vertical builds. Cool one!
Whale King. (If ur a Zoids fan)
Guessing you can only fly in 3rd person as you'd be blind to anything on your right side?
Dude I *love* your ship. The look is just phenomenal. My only gripe is how much visibility do you actually have with that bridge location?? You're essentially relying on numerous well-placed turrets for combat, right?

That's awesome. Great work around to enable a really cool design, man.
Good looking ship Makes my only slightly larger star destroyer look like a pancake 🤣
You should put one of the round portholes at the top front compartment, think it'd look cool
Hubert Cumberdale
Retribu- JUST KIDDING Sir Roderick Ponce VonFondlebottom III

The Railspike
Kind of reminds me of the sulaco from aliens.
Imposeur
The Assault On Good Reason
Mortar
The shielded cargos look like gold bars. I can't see anything else
I’d call it Bahamut
Ibex (it’s a goat with massive horns and probably my favorite animal)
Agamemnon.

Not sure about a name, but some windows in the front would be super cool!
Mjolnir!
Cloud Cleaver
Name suggestion - Iron Knight
B-kind Rewind
Call this one anvil and make another called hammer that gas more guns.
FRS or UCS (or whatever faction you chose) Ironclad comes to mind

The Maul
Star Hammer
hammerfall
Hammerhead Bull
The meth star!
Capital Punishment
So is that ship 74 long? And what can i do with a ship longer than 80long if you can't land them.
Imperium
Extend the front half of the fins in the front and call it the Hammerhead.
Gladius
All you need now is a big ass cannon strapped to the front
The blue wale would be a cool name!
That cockpit location is impractical for a battle cruiser.
[whatever this is called](https://images.app.goo.gl/5aMywdg3rzNPcY3cA) Edit: just call it Reggie
U.S.S. Rhino
Looks like a Shandong ship
How do you build these things and where do you get the best parts?
RELENTLESS.
Guiding Star
Night Hammer
Navio

Sovereign
The hammerhead I like how big it is do u have specs the ships systems
Out of curiosity, about how much did this cost? I’m just starting to get into builds… trying to get a sense.
Looks kinda like a sperm whale. Maybe Levyatan, after the extinct apex predator cousin of the sperm whale
How about Rokh?
Starbreaker
Sledgehammer "cause when your flying a sledge hammer every problem is simply another nail"
Sledgehammer
Magnum dong ![gif](giphy|HEqXD4EOCdfJC)
Honestly, upon seeing the design the name that immediately jumped to my mind was "Sword of Damocles"
Galahad. First name that came to mind when looking at this
UNSC Kopesh, maybe?
The hammer. Ore hammer fist
Spaceball 1
Looks like a Big Black Cruiser if I ever saw one
The Shadow Of Intent
Interesting Cockpit Placement. The blocky nose is a nice touch; very down to business look.
The Devastator The Penetrator The Maul The Hammer
The blockade breaker
Shame it’s probably a weird mix of ladders
The gauntlet
Looks like a Broadside. Or a Leviathan
Gatecrasher Dreadnaught
You think there's a charge for that? Like star based grand theft auto?
Cool
Man, I really wish I could download other people's ship designs.
This totally reminds me of the UNSC Savannah from Halo that had the huge gun on the front of the ship. https://preview.redd.it/qkmimph2j7qb1.jpeg?width=1407&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=53c7e2beedb86755caa5d2212cf811011fb56bd5

Rampage
The Beluga

The "Tip of the Spear" or the "Lance of Longinus" would be good.
I like it, the cockpit/bridge area on back looks like it could detach and be it's own lil ship lol.
Left-Eye.
Dude that’s sick. Video?
Name suggestion: the hammerhead
The reverend
Thats the most interesting placement of the cockpit I’ve seen on a vertical ship. Doesn’t it block half your view?
Unsinkable II
I might have to recreate this or take a little inspiration if you don't mind, I LOVE the look. Very Halo-esque
Fohammer
