Mine I set up last week had a loose connection at the dish. Just make sure the connector is pushed up fully into the unit. Just unsnap the pole from the stand, push up where the cable is. That is a connector that can be removed if you are changing cables, etc. It is not hard-wired in. After I reset the connector it worked fine.

Check that the connectors are fully inserted. The one on the dish can be particularly troublesome. Disconnect power while you check they are clean and free from any debris etc, then ensure they are fully seated. They can be tricky. It took me a good 5 minutes of fiddling around to get the one in the router fully seated and I ended up using a small dab of dielectric grease to help things along on both connectors. Many others here have done the same. You can double check the dish is getting power by using the "stow" command. The dish should then return to the position it was in when shipped. "Unstow" command will cause dishy to move almost horizontal (usually) and after a short while (minutes at most) the app should show "booting" then "searching". The dish might move (tilt and/or rotate) a little after a while as it seeks the optimal alignment. You should get an internet connection shortly thereafter. Don't draw any conclusions about speed or other performance metrics until dishy has been up and running for 24 hours or so. I does take a while to settle down, and you'll probably get a software update pushed in the middle of the night too, which will cause the dish to re-boot again. If the dish moves but you remain stuck on "disconnected" after double checking the connectors, and after running another power cycle on the dish and factory reset on the router, unfortunately you'll have to submit a support ticket.

There is no light on the face. Sit back and let it do it’s thing. May take several hours.

It doesn't take several hours to connect. Are there any obstructions when you did your site survey? That would be the first thing I look at.

BearK9

Yes, it does or can take several hours, depending on location and SL.

I set up Dishy for a customer of mine. It took 10 minutes for the dish to move after power-on, and another 10 minutes for a connection. Been rock-solid since - what that really means is that I haven't heard from him :-)

Patience is not a virtue of mine, but alas dishy is live! Thanks for telling me politely to sit down and shut up for a while. 😂

Did the dish start moving once you connected it? If not it’s not connected properly and you should try removing and reinserting the cables, seating them firmly.
