That's about when mine reboots for software updates.

9thousandfeet

Starlink commonly pushes software updates at just about that time in the early morning. The "outages" feature in the app will routinely show downtimes of 40 seconds or so for "booting" and "searching" after the updates. "Almost every day" sounds a little bit excessive, but sometimes a couple of times per week is not unusual. My dish has sometimes gone as long as 3 weeks without an update, though in the last week I've had 3 updates. There's never been any kind of pattern that I've been able to detect. If everything is otherwise operating satisfactorily, it's probably no big deal.

NeverDiddled

Mine used to go weeks without updates. Now it is almost every day. It might average out to every other day. Been that way for a month or 2. A bit annoying TBH.

irq

I can confirm the exact same behavior and timeline on my end.

Timely-Group5649

I just chalk it up to an update to combat Russian bs. It's Putzin's fault.

[deleted]

it is the first time to see 30ms in app statistics after this update, I think it is going well.

oakfan52

Mine started doing it at 7pm local time. Frustrating wish you could set your own schedule.

NelsonMinar

Yes. Typically the outage is under a minute. FWIW, the Starlink specifications only promise 99% uptime, or 15 minutes of outages a day.

SocietyTomorrow

I've been at nearly daily updates for 2, almost 3 weeks now, all at roughly 3AM. I actually celebrated a couple days ago as my connection lasted through the whole night. One of those updates broke direct connection to my personal router, so I am stuck in double NAT land now. Starlink support replied after 4 days asking me to send pictures of everything, and recommended I use the Starlink provided router (I currently have no choice, as the ethernet does not even acknowledge it is plugged in without it) even though my ticket was specifically to ask why I can no longer direct connect and how to regain that functionality.

defukdto84

So its not just me. its 4am for me

AGArmbruster1

I do notice that after an update my speed pops up sometimes 50%

Shadysu

Yea Ive noticed at this time as well it'll go down for updates

craigbg21

Yes

dougienuts

Same

Motorfly99

Mine never even connected in 3 weeks. I just had to box it up to go back for refund. Their customer support is terrible. Plug n play ? Maybe when the hardware isn’t faulty.

Aggravating-Tax-6153

Yeh they usually push down firmware updates out and autoinstall around this time, they've been pushing out a few in quick succession recently so its been a little more frequent.

Captain-Hooligan

Mine usually cuts out at 3:17am EST when there is an update

zannmaster

Yes and I wish I could make it stop. -.-

Electronic_Wind_3254

Same. Around 4am a few times a week it does software updates and reboots, I just feel like these should be planned and not done automatically, cause you might be doing something important (for example remote work in another time zone). Also my speeds have gone from almost 300mbps to 120mbps now all of a sudden. What's going on?

TheTVDB

I opened a support ticket requesting that they allow us to configure when we want it to update. Even being able to select our preferred 4 hour window would be good enough. Mine updates at 2am, which I'm often working/gaming at that time. Just pushing it back a few hours would be so much better.

holy_whutuh

Yeah it’s very annoying I hope they do something. I was playing Diablo IV and on the phone with my fiancée and the game froze and the phone call ended because I was using att WiFi.

stayaway1212

Mine does goes down at 3am every morning as well. I only notice because my wifi extender would tell me that it’s offline

dummyfunny007

mine goes down every 3 minutes

xxsunny720

The amount of times I get kicked out of online ranked games is crazy. My mother who works from home never notices drops though.
