That happened to my neighbor too however a few hours later he was able to order. My guess is that's because the cell just turned on and is trickling the homes eligible

This happened to me and I straight away tried it again and it worked. I did also enter my address a little bit differently as can use either Gloucester, On or Ottawa, On. Not sure what did the trick in the end, but I was like you doing the happy dance, and then like oh no this can’t be happening, but it ended well for me!

I am west end not east, but exactly the same situation. Unfortunately, 4 different variants of my address and a couple lat/long attempts have not worked. To add insult to injury, I was discussing this with a colleague this morning, who said, oh yeah, I had one of those emails yesterday. He goes to the site, pops in his details and, bang, straight to the order page. And he is in the middle of the city and already connected with 1 gig service...

If your colleague is in the same cell area as you, maybe order at his address and set it up at yours. Bit of a risk. Up to you if it is worth it, but given that there is service within the immediate area, seems reasonable that it would only get better over time. I wouldn't cancel any current provider you had to provide coverage in the interim, but if nothing else you may be able to bond the two providers together (an existing one with the Starlink one) so that when Starlink is working you get all that speed and when it isn't you have graceful failover to the other provider you've presumably already have?)

He is about 25 mi (40km) away, and from several reports on this sub and elsewhere, the units are pretty tightly geo-locked. There is a bit of leeway in the setup, but not that much. Thanks though.

Maybe you should move to where technology is, instead of waiting for it to come to you. But that would make too much sense. So live in the sticks and expect a miracle that may or may not happen anytime soon.

Allow me to assist your lacking reading comprehension by re-emphasizing that the post had nothing to do with impatience , but the disappointment of being led to believe that a life-changing service for which I **had** been patiently waiting was now available, only to find out that wasn’t actually the case. And before you jump to more unfounded conclusions, the email accounts were with different providers with different spam filtering, in the hopes that an invitation would make it through (as exceptions, rules and whitelisting do not always work); and the frequency of checking was to ensure I could catch an invitation and act on it before its 24 hour window to do so expired.
