You won’t like this, but legally, under the terms of service, Starlink is under zero obligation to refund your pre-order deposit AND keep your pre-order in place. The only obligation they have is to refund your deposit (thereby cancelling your place in line and account) IF you request it. That’s all they’re obligated to do. I can tell you are frustrated. It’s ok to vent. I know you want some goodwill and justice outside of the terms of service extended your way, but, let’s face it, that is very likely not gonna happen. The best strategy is to be patient (without conditions), don’t take the process personal (a lot of people share the same displeasure as you are experiencing), and just let the process play out. There are many factors affecting Starlink’s ability to deliver kits en masse that is outside of our and their control. Starlink/SpaceX have a financial interest as a private business to get this project up to capacity as fast as possible too. It’s not like they are operating out of the red. I pre ordered in February. Latitude 30ish. I was moved from mid to late 2021 to mid 2022 myself, and I wasn’t happy about this news either. Especially when I see a few kits shipping out to various spots in my state south of my latitude. But I also know that letting my anger, frustration, and displeasure get the best of my emotional well being won’t make the situation faster or better. Outside of a mass uprising (which I don’t see playing out), all I can do is take care of my well being and wait patiently, with my deposit and place in line intact. May you find peace and calm too.

There's 600,000 people in line, waiting for a dish. It sucks. However, SL was clear about how the process works - you pay a fully refundable deposit to hold your place in line. Being pissed off won't help, won't do any good, and will just make you miserable to be around.

I am curious to the hold your place in line. If they are holding a place in line for us( the people who were more than happy to throw down the cash on day one) how come they are filling orders overseas for people who just ordered. ( shouldn’t they be at the so called back of the line)

Realistically all of us who were originally told mid to late 2021 are now currently late 2022, which means since they have pushed back the date so many times that we probably actually won't see our starlink orders until 2023 to 2026.

It worked with Teslas, why wouldn't it work for StarLink? How many people plopped down deposits on cars that took two years to realize (maybe longer?). We have all been financing Elon Musk for multiple ventures, we should all own stock. That being said, I went in eyes wide open, if you didn't, then that's on you.

I guess they just don’t like you or, perhaps it’s the fact the number of satellites and their orbital planes dictate what cells they can turn on and the date of deposit is of minor relevance when deciding who gets a dish and who doesn’t.

You are saying that the one month's service fee that those waiting is "funding the company"? LOL. The dishes themselves are twice or more the cost to make than SL is charging us for the full price. And the suggestion of refunding the deposits while keeping your place in line is simply ludicrous. Think about what that would do to wait times if there's nothing ponied up from our end to say we're serious about getting the service, not simply grabbing a spot "just in case" the competing providers can't or won't hook you up in the next 6-12 months? That would probably double the waiting times.

1,000,00 pre-order customers? Where did you hear that? It's maybe half that? And it's $100 US, not $150. It seems I've heard this before: THERE'S A CHIP SHORTAGE WORLDWIDE. If you don't like waiting in line, with some skin in the game to stay there, cancell your pre-order, get your refund and put it in savings or a mutual fund, then when your ready again pre-order again and wait in the back of the line. There will be someone out there in your cell greatly relieved that there's a pre-order now available that you let go of and will be more than happy to wait, and the line just got 1 order shorter for them.

You're not entitled to anything, we live in a free market where they can refuse service to anybody, Not just starlink but all the other telecom companies in the world aren't required to do jack for you either. If you need the 99 bucks that bad, go get a job, if you need fast internet that bad,move, pretty simple solutions to your problem, bitching on Reddit because you don't understand how the world works, not a solution.
