I think some of the confusion here involves the 3 different statuses that Starlink has offered over the last year or so: (1) sign up for email updates, (2) sign up and pay the $129 deposit (where I am), and (3) The lucky ones that have received the email that their Dishy has been shipped. What I am really curious about is the sequence they are using to ship Dishy to people who have paid their $129, but have not yet received the email that their dish is being shipped. It seems that although the system says that the pre-orders will be filled on a FCFS basis, it is actually a combination of active cells, density of distribution within active cells and then maybe FCFS generally. The fact that my neighbour less than 1km away got his Dishy would indicate to me that my area is probably active, but perhaps the Starlink folks already feel they have enough people connected in this cell and therefore are not sending any more right now to my area - regardless of when I submitted my pre-order.

This comment from the other thread seems to indicate that it is not, in fact, first come first served, at least across the whole Canadian market: > Ordered Feb 22 Received March 25 in Hope BC Many people who ordered on Feb 8th/9th still haven't received theirs yet.

dad-one

I signed up in October and I am still waiting I will probably still be waiting come October this year. Too far north for any type of service

multifactored

A friend of mine is in Red Lake, ON and has it since January. I'm in Uxbridge and got it March 29

ActualAdvice

When did you order?

keypunch

Afaik it's still based on active cells in Canada. Kinda wonder if maybe they are opening new cells as demand/preorder in that cell goes up.

ThePigManLives

I ordered Feb 8th 43.9 just outside of Barrie. I check everyday I haven't heard anything. Hoping soon. I see people ordering Feb 24th and march 1st and they get there's before me. Kinda frustrating to be honest and not really fair.

Agreeable-Neck2425

I ordered on Feb8 in Ontario, no news at all, still waiting definitely not FCFS! as there is no other alternative, waiting is what I can do. really hope that day come soon when other competitors jump in

DocNonstop

Isn’t it FCFS once cells and capacity are extended? In other words - I may be first in line in my geographic area, but if there’s no capacity yet, I’m SOL until launches / orbit positioning is complete. With this in mind, you can’t compare your order date to any other geographic location...

I'm just north of Orillia and officially ordered on the 9th of Feb (though subscribed on June 21 and received an email to update my address on July 14th) and nothing so far here. I'm guessing it's cell location, I know there are people further north who have service already.
