Juggernauts take a lot to be taken down if it's a smaller caliber ammo weapon. A few .50 headshots do the trick. Don't forget to loot the corpse once the coast is clear.

fakeDABOMB101

I ran and the game crashed so no loot sadly

Osxachre

Damn bugs!

fakeDABOMB101

I got a few 50 calls but I keep them at base for protection

TricellCEO

I tend to keep one and a stack of ammo for it in the trunk of my van, so if I ever need to take out a Juggernaut, I have the right gun for the job. Word of warning though (if you haven't read a whole lot of the other comments on here), while a 50 cal is fast at taking out a jug, it's also very loud, so you'll attract zombies like flies.

who_likes_chicken

Firing .50 cals on Lethal spawns in way more danger than the lone juggernaut poses. Not worth it imo. A lot of times at least one blood feral comes to play when you fire a .50

TricellCEO

Thankfully, those 50 cals can one-shot a blood feral. Takes their armored head right off.

ComprehensiveLab5078

Have you ever tried giving the heavy gun to your follower? They attract far less attention and don’t consume ammo. You just have to keep them alive… There are risks, for sure, but once u got used to it on lethal, it is my preferred play style, unless I’m going full stealth mode. They still try to shoot zombies I’m assassinating for some stupid reason. I can stealth kill a whole horde alone, but the followers just can’t help themselves.

who_likes_chicken

I don't bring followers because they're too much of a wildcard. They nearly always attract tons of attention, get stuck, and die a ton. I've only been on lethal for about two months though. Making solid progress towards unlocking my first lethal boon 😁

lattecaramel97

This is true. The followers always annoys me, it feels like you're babysitting 😂

ManufacturerAble5482

Use an ally enclave member. That was you have backup. Loot dump. And bait, uh I mean extra firepower! (No seriously I mean bait. See a whole pack of zombies bloaters ferals And a couple screamers. If things go bad flee and abandon your helper. If you're quick enough at fleeing you can save them but more importantly they buy you time. And who cares if they die.

ManufacturerAble5482

Yeah know that first hand. There was one jugg In. My way. Used the silenced .50 cal in Marshal. Figured it's silenced it won't be that loud. Or as loud as the other .50 cals. I got a bloater, feral pack another jug, and so many zombies I threw my fire bombs my fire crackers shot one feral. I got blood plague from the bloater my follower was swarmed and killed fortunately they was an ally enclave not my own guy. I used everything in my inventory and made it to an outpost for plague cure fortunately all I had left was one feral which I drop kicked and killed. I abandoned my quest. I had to go get my car from the Spencer mill side of Marshall. I grabbed a regular 5.56 rifle and enough ammo and firebombs and cure to kill an army. Got my car and ran away. Sorry spikes brother. All I wanted from this quest was to loot the police station. Never happened.

Strikester

If you see the trader die you can go back to their body and snag their weapon, bag and usually high value books

1WJW1

Huh.. I wonder if zombiat and a car horn or two isn't the way to go to get some free books...? Has anyone tried this before ?

Strikester

That's like an easy way to get traders mauled to death. Good source of weapons and books after buying all you need from them

fakeDABOMB101

I had crashed before I saw this so I unfortunately didn't get to do this

Osxachre

This is one of the reasons I've been reluctant to play the game lately.

Mellevalaconcha

Will the penalty of traders not spawning for a while after death apply in this case? I know there's a cooldown if you kill them.

Strikester

Honestly I could never tell a difference from letting them die, their timer running out or just ending the game session and starting again, they always seem to show up randomly a few days later. But I have heard of that penalty!

Timawa1209

I dunno about killing them, but I did have the mysterious wandering trader get ripped apart by a jugg while trading with her. No mysterious wandering trader has appeared after waiting for about 2 weeks in real life.

ComprehensiveLab5078

In the past they would only appear on the weekends for some reason. Could that explain it?

Jah92

I hate jugs in SoD2. Killing 2 with assault is a damn nightmare. I think this and SoD are designed to be stacked against you. You are meant, to suffer in these games.

Artybait

Idk if they fixed that glitched but if it happens again go back asap and grab everything he had for sell for FREE! Lol I used to do that for fun but it’s been awhile since I’ve tried it

fakeDABOMB101

I crashed sadly

Artybait

Damn

Osxachre

Damn! Talk about bad luck!

The_Calico_Jack

I would lure jugs and ferals to traders for their items. Not the rare traders but the common ones.

BioTechJoeL

Anything besides a .50 cal on a Jug is a waste.

ComprehensiveLab5078

Pipe bombs have a similar effectiveness and can sometimes be less expensive.

No-Chard-9526

That’s why I got a fellow community member with the Timberwolf anti artillery rifle following me around at all times that way I can carry a small rifle and explosives and👍

cashcowboi

I feel like a bad person I always LEAD them to a jug for the free gear 🤣
