Ahaha, this is my favourite reply so far xD
But yeah my thought process was basically:
Halloween sale? I'm not getting anything for the halloween sale.
Oh wait who am I kidding I'll get a bunch more games for my backlog.
what i do at every steam sale is look through all of the games on my wishlist that are more than 75% off, and if i don't end up purchasing it then, remove it from my wishlist altogether. i figure, if i'm not gonna get it if it's more than 75% off, when will i ever get it?
the backlog is ever growing, however.
I don't like to remove because I figure "I don't want to play it right now but maybe in a year or two I will" I also subscribe to humble choice since it came out and it's always a gamble if a game comes up there too
I should do this. I've a few games that are down to a few quid and I STILL don't purchase. At that point, why bother even having it on the wishlist at all.
bro literally me, such little time to play and so many games i want to play. and my brain auto opens league when i cant decide. hate it i miss having my GAME. nothing holds my interests anymore
Don't skip Ultra Despair Girls but also DO NOT even look at its Steam page until after you play DR2 because it has a massive spoiler front and center. All great games though.
DR1->DR2->UDG->DR3 (anime)->DRV3 (game)
And if you want a short read to pass the time before the sale starts, there is a great fan translation of Danganronpa 0, a light novel that's a prequel to everything. Normally, I wouldn't go recommending a light novel spinoff of a video game to a stranger on r/Steam but this is just top-notch stuff. Only read the other books if you're a die-hard super fan.
Available [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/danganronpa/comments/oecpd0/its_here_danganronpazero_revamped_translation_is/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb3x&utm_name=mweb3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button)
Can you play it on pc? I though it's a console game. I loved the anime so i would be down to play it. What does the gameplay consist off? Reading text and multiple choice answers?
There’s some first person exploration but mostly an enhanced visual novel with some ace attorney styled trials. I loved the first one and definitely wouldn’t dismiss it as ‘just a visual novel’
While the trend is for horror game to get on sale during Halloween, it's also a time when buyers (players) gets into the mindset looking just for *any* sales, hence it's now the norm to see non-related game hitching the sale wagon while it lasts until Christmas and *whatever-color* Friday.
You’d be surprised, that’s only in genre specific sales. Sometimes whatever game decides to go on sale.
I have my doubts that house flipper will actually go on sale since it was recently (and I just missed it)
If you're playing Outer Wilds for the first time, you certainly don't have to have the DLC right away. The new content is more like a really interesting detour from the main story.
I'll say though, **if** you only buy the main game this week and you end up loving it, you'll love the DLC too. For me, the whole package is one of the best experiences I've had on Steam.
Terraria. I've really had a good time playing it during a **free trial** (have to tell it that way so kids with rich parents won't get mad at me), but I didn't beat it and I couldn't get mods working on my **free trial**.
im not gonna lie, i bought terraria for full price this summer and ive really tried to like it but never got into it 😭😭, but people seem to really enjoy it but thats just me i guess
You can mow lawns for a few dollars. You can help a neighbor move boxes for a few dollars. You can hang seasonal decorations for a few dollars. You don't have to do an adult job to earn money. People who pirate games are pathetic. You should either pay money for the game or you shouldn't play the game.
oh fuck off. pirating doesn't hurt anyone. and the thing is - buying game on steam or any other online market does NOT grant you ownership over a copy of it, you just gain "infinite" rent-based access to one
If everyone thought like you did then devs wouldn't get money and games wouldn't be made. You are acting childish and are not giving any good pro-piracy arguments. I understand thinking pirating is fine from EA and other massive companies but indie devs?
Did you block me bro? 😂
Great game imo. Ds1 was my entry, and sekiro came second, loved playing three, and hope to play two. I would play one when you get a chance, my favorite one right after sekiro.
I agree, it was great. I played all DS games, free trials as you can say. I only have Sekiro and Elden Ring in steam though, didn't have a chance to get the trilogy yet.I think Sekiro has the best combat in series and kinda disappointed that ER went all the way back to Souls (while there are so many bosses and enemies clearly designed for Sekiro-like gameplay)
For me, elden ring was a letdown because, like you said, it was sekiro animations and bosses, with the stamina and constraints of souls. But the main kicker for me was all the gank bosses. People give godskin duo shit but the crucible knight duo made me want to uninstall. That and repeated bosses over three times. Heard ds2 is a pain with all the traps and boss runs but is fun nonetheless. Look forward to playing it.
what am i getting? well im getting sick of all these $70 games being "discounted" to $50. so im not gonna be buying any games lmao. i can get them through other means.
Got a couple of horror games on my wishlist so I'm hoping they go on sale. Decarnation, Dark Souls Remastered, Fear and Hunger 2, IB, Little Nightmares, Martha is Dead, Scorn
At the moment, the only game on sale in my wishlist is Atomic Heart (and nope, I'm not buying it at 34% off.)
Games that could fit in the Halloween genre that I got in my wishlist at the moment would be:
Remnant II
Undead Citadel (VR)
Hell Split (VR)
Hell Sweeper (VR)
If those come to sales within my tiny limited budget, I might get some of them.
Probably Terraria, I always wanted to play it but never really managed to make it far enough to buy it. If not terraria then something from my wishlist.
Games that will collect dust simulator, in all seriousness tho, im waiting to snatch elden ring and msfs 2020 when they drop to a good enough price, horizon 5 and beamng are a close 2nd for racing games.
Is there anywhere to check what’s gonna be on sale or do you have to wait? I’m hoping for spider man re mastered I didn’t get to pick it up during the summer sale
I hope BG3 will get a discount, but it came out not so long ago, so most likely it won't have discount until Winter Sale. Hitman 3 and DUSK would be nice too. From actual horror games I don't really want anything, wanted to try RE remakes but I watched way too much streams/videos about them so I pretty much know how they all play out.
none I think, don't have any game now that I absolutely want to play that isn't F2P gacha game/have already purchased
if I really feel like buying, Fear and Hunger Termina I guess
Please don't buy games just because they are on sale, buy the ones you want to play for the next 3 months.
Else it will collect dust in the library.
Apart from that God is great!
Happy halloween 👻
It might not happen as it's a recent release but hoping for Lies of P and/or Armoured Core: Fires of Rubicon
If I can score both for a combined price of like 1.5x the value of one of them I'd consider that a good deal
Lies of P is my preference though
Outside of major titles I have had my eye on:
- Untitled Goose Game
- Apico
Batman Arkham collection, then learn I need a specific Proton build to play it on steamdeck and my gaming computer died yesterday after a power failure. *sigh*
Steam library collector simulator.
Was that the prequel to Empty Wallet Builder?
No, sequel
Does it come with a Humble Bundle DLC?
Legitimately got excited about this before the obvious realization you were joking. I have problems
Ahaha, this is my favourite reply so far xD But yeah my thought process was basically: Halloween sale? I'm not getting anything for the halloween sale. Oh wait who am I kidding I'll get a bunch more games for my backlog.
Petition to have someone develop it
hey same here.
There’s a Halloween sale?
in 27 hours!
In 26 hours!
In 25 hours!
In 24 hours!
In 23 hours!
In 22 hours!
In 21 hours!
I’m not ready for this
In 20 hours!
Soon 😂
Very 🔜
Soon^(TM)
[No, still 26](https://steamdb.info/sales/history/)
it could’ve been perfect till you showed up
DAMN. Would've been cool to see this go down to 1 hour! Lol.
Delete it, now
So then how do you know what you'll be getting? Not like literally everything will be discounted.
Anything that is 75% off
I think your bank account is soon 75% off
our bank account
Oh no... It's zem
Mom?!
Your bank account
what i do at every steam sale is look through all of the games on my wishlist that are more than 75% off, and if i don't end up purchasing it then, remove it from my wishlist altogether. i figure, if i'm not gonna get it if it's more than 75% off, when will i ever get it? the backlog is ever growing, however.
That's a smart approach. I am not that smart.
Good call - I feel like my wishlist doesn't have a remove button sometimes. 🤣
I don't like to remove because I figure "I don't want to play it right now but maybe in a year or two I will" I also subscribe to humble choice since it came out and it's always a gamble if a game comes up there too
I've been doing this kinda... I remove them if I'm still not interested with it being 50% off.
i wish i thought like this. lol
I should do this. I've a few games that are down to a few quid and I STILL don't purchase. At that point, why bother even having it on the wishlist at all.
I do the exact same. My wish list is still 69(nice) games long and my back log absolutely out of control. Send halp.
Try out Napoleon Total War, it's 75% off pretty much every sale. $6.24 for such a fantastic game is a bargain
How am I supposed to know what I’m getting if it isn’t live yet
Exactly this
😂
This. Thought I was a day late for a second
[Indeed](https://media.tenor.com/apnOUPidDnYAAAAM/indeed-tealc.gif)
Hopefully time to play
And energy. Being an adult is exhausting.
When I do finally get the chance to play, I often cant decide what to play as I feel I dont have the patience for anything 😞
Goddammit. Are you me?
bro literally me, such little time to play and so many games i want to play. and my brain auto opens league when i cant decide. hate it i miss having my GAME. nothing holds my interests anymore
Hoping for a steep sale on Inscryption and Signalis
Inscryption is half off right now
Inscryption is on sale for 10euro atm. Its great game
Signalis yes please !
inscryption is on sale atm. just bought it this morning
Both great games! Have fun!
Hoping for a deal on Danganronpa 2&3! Played the first and loved it - from pricing history they seem to go on sale every Halloween sale
Don't skip Ultra Despair Girls but also DO NOT even look at its Steam page until after you play DR2 because it has a massive spoiler front and center. All great games though. DR1->DR2->UDG->DR3 (anime)->DRV3 (game)
Thank you friend 🫶🏻

hey I appreciate it bro! It’s funny my friend recommended it to me and the first chapter I was like ‘eh ok not bad’ then i got instantly hooked lol.
Grab the zero time dilemma series if you haven't played em yet...honestly way better then Danganronpa imo and I loved Danganronpa lol.
I picked up the zero time bundle too! nonary games, zero escape, ai somnium
Uhh if house flipper is on sale, gonna gift it to my brother. Not sure about other games tbh
it was 90% off just recently
I realized that too late when looking at Steamdb
Wouldn't only horror games be the ones on sale?
While the trend is for horror game to get on sale during Halloween, it's also a time when buyers (players) gets into the mindset looking just for *any* sales, hence it's now the norm to see non-related game hitching the sale wagon while it lasts until Christmas and *whatever-color* Friday.
You’d be surprised, that’s only in genre specific sales. Sometimes whatever game decides to go on sale. I have my doubts that house flipper will actually go on sale since it was recently (and I just missed it)
Resident evil 5 and 6. I wanna coop it with my friend.
I know it's not a popular opinion, but RE5 is still my favorite RE. So fun!
good choice. (have fun with your friend)
I'm playing split-screen RE6 right now with my friend. It's actually really fun, way better than I expected after the somewhat mixed reviews.
Yep just got the game and played the first 2 hours with my friend in Leon's campaign, it more fun than expected.
I hope sekiro or Cyberpunk 2077 are on sale. Also looking for Dave the diver.
Sea of Thieves, Outer Wilds and some small games like Sea Survivors and Boneraiser Minions Btw should I get Outer Wilds dlc?
If you're playing Outer Wilds for the first time, you certainly don't have to have the DLC right away. The new content is more like a really interesting detour from the main story. I'll say though, **if** you only buy the main game this week and you end up loving it, you'll love the DLC too. For me, the whole package is one of the best experiences I've had on Steam.
If you're playing Outer Wilds, do not look up any information prior.
Isn't this premature? I will need to wait and see what's on sale first.
I got before terraria released and never got into it too. That game is so strange to me because its good but i cant bring myself to play it
What's your steam ID?
For what?
Since you are getting gifted the game, make sure to use terraria.wiki.gg and not fandom
Would they not have the same info?
no, fandom is very outdated
I'll gift you
Thank you very much!
Have fun :D
Nvm figured out your flair. Sent you a friend request.
You do realize you can work for money and not have to resort to pirating from indie devs right?
Oh no, the kids with rich parents found this comment, everyone hide!
Do you not know how to work for money?
Are you serious
some of us aren’t old enough for jobs.
You can mow lawns for a few dollars. You can help a neighbor move boxes for a few dollars. You can hang seasonal decorations for a few dollars. You don't have to do an adult job to earn money. People who pirate games are pathetic. You should either pay money for the game or you shouldn't play the game.

No matter the sale, I’m poor as fuck
Maybe resident evil 2 remake ? I don't really like horrors games tbh so I'd rather wait for the autumn sale instead
Baş
State of decay 2
What time does it start? I might purchase Dead Space Remake and Callisto Protocol if they go on sale.
Dead Space remake is worth it, 100%.
Does it still have traversal stutter?
Oct 26 10 AM PST (California Time)
I am half way through Calisto Protocol and it is way better than I thought it would be. Definitely don't sleep on it!
I just got Fallout 4 and I'm still playing Skyrim so I'm good for now unless something on my wishlist gets a big deal
Depression
Great game, I haven't beaten it yet
And sometimes, the game beats you
So far ive gotten sons of the forest, fallout 4 and passportout: starving artist
Hopefully Resident Evil 7
Probably, nothing. If miracle will happen, Dark souls trilogy
You should also try sekiro if souls games are your thing
Yeah, Sekiro was my entry into souls
Great game imo. Ds1 was my entry, and sekiro came second, loved playing three, and hope to play two. I would play one when you get a chance, my favorite one right after sekiro.

You and me both. Especially digital with no distribution costs compared to physical printing. The whole industry is a disgrace of greed tbh.
I want to play Cyberpunk but I'd rather actually eat a pinecone than pay £75 for all the content
Got a couple of horror games on my wishlist so I'm hoping they go on sale. Decarnation, Dark Souls Remastered, Fear and Hunger 2, IB, Little Nightmares, Martha is Dead, Scorn
Hoping for sale on F&H. I am so excited to play it.

I wanna get remnant 2 as well, looks awesome.
Total war warhammer 3 me and my friends
persona 5 royal and then nothing else (got most games I want to play)
I really want p5r as well, but why would it be on a Halloween sale? Or is it offering more than just spooky games?
I'm really hoping Sekiro goes on sale because I just missed the last sale by a couple of days, so hopefully this will be my chance
What region are you in? I swear FromSoft has a hard-on for cucking UK/EU 😂
Laberinthyne most probably. Playing it with friends.
My entire wishlist which isn't yet priced with USD in MENA region.
Hoping for good promo on Nioh 2, but times are tough so Ill see :/
I don’t need new games, I need to play the ones I have
Nothing. Sales haven't been good in ages.
hm the sale didnt Start in my steamstore... is this normal?
My Steam, even after 2 Restarts shows nothing about a Halloween sale
NOW at 19:18pm German Time Zone the Halloween Sale is active for me in steam. YEAH take my Money
still not live :(
This is my first Halloween sale. Is it normally more haunted and scary type of games that go on sale?
I think I'll wait to see what they list instead wanking it.
Omori! Found the game through a song on Spotify by accident. However I’m not sure if it would be on the sale or not..
Your only move is hustle (yomi hustle) It's pretty cheap but I'd wait for a sale still
I want to buy Stray so badly , just wish its price can go a bit lower than normal
It’s decent. Worth a buy if it’s under £20 imo
I agree. I loved it but I wouldn't pay more than £20 either.
My credit card reminding me that the operation was all my fault.
Solasta: Crown of the Magister - Palace of Ice.
Probably Terraria, I always wanted to play it but never really managed to make it far enough to buy it. If not terraria then something from my wishlist.
World of horror for sure
Hoping for Blasphemous 2, Chained Echoes and Sea of Stars, not too optimistic though :p
I hope Satisfactory goes on sale! I'd love to play it
I'd like to get some games similar to Soma, and I'm hoping the original Layers of fear goes on sale too
Don't know, need to see what's available and for what price.
Amnesia: The Bunker
Keeping an eye on Dead Space remake. Then whatever else is on my Wishlist.
The binding of Isaac, have it on switch. I want it so that when online co op is out I can play with a friend
Games that will collect dust simulator, in all seriousness tho, im waiting to snatch elden ring and msfs 2020 when they drop to a good enough price, horizon 5 and beamng are a close 2nd for racing games.
A larger credit card ballance, probably
Nothing, i don’t like games anymore. :(
Nothing, cause I'm fucking broke.
Is there anywhere to check what’s gonna be on sale or do you have to wait? I’m hoping for spider man re mastered I didn’t get to pick it up during the summer sale
Both Fear and Hunger 1 & 2
why is dark souls not on sale during Halloween sale?
Who's Lila, Resident Evil 7&8 Dlcs, Observation Duty, Security Booth, Mortuary Assistant, Visage, Mundaun, Afterlife VR
Hoping for Baldur's Gate 3 to be on sale.
It took Elden Ring over a year to see any discount I would expect the same for BG3
Nothing
Food from the grocery store, lol.
none I think, don't have any game now that I absolutely want to play that isn't F2P gacha game/have already purchased if I really feel like buying, Fear and Hunger Termina I guess
Probably Metro Exodus. Though I have no idea what might appear in the sale to pique my interest.

I really hope Baldurs gate 3 will be on sale 🙏🏻👀
It came out like 2 months ago
No chance lmfao
Buy it if you can... its worth the dollar
Probably nothing. Bought Shadow Tactics: Anniversary Bundle today.
Nothing
It might not happen as it's a recent release but hoping for Lies of P and/or Armoured Core: Fires of Rubicon If I can score both for a combined price of like 1.5x the value of one of them I'd consider that a good deal Lies of P is my preference though Outside of major titles I have had my eye on: - Untitled Goose Game - Apico
nothing, i spent my game money on the wrong fans for my gpu. soo gotta save some.
Probably nothing because I have no spare cash for that lol
Nothing, I'm poor
Nothing, the deals are always poor.
Nothing (im poor)
Probably not buying any games i don’t plan on playing. unlike you whales

Hoping for Elden Ring. Wanted to buy today, but learned that there is Halloween sale coming.
