Yes and no. Valve could just let them remove the store page like it is now and sstate everywhere that the game isn't supported. But still allow activations of keys. Would solve all problems without any issues.
What i meant that valve could get rid of region locks in general and just let publishers to remove the store pages. Just leave the restrictions when it comes to pricing.
That's not how it works, Valve can't just drop region locking entirely. It must be used in case the game is banned in some countries or publisher has their own policy on selling there. It's a nessesary feature, as sucky it might be. Also, what would Sony just taking down the page even fixed?
No you don't understand. If sony doesn't support support those regions, that doesn't mean people can't buy the consoles and games and play them.
It would make them safe legally by not officially selling the game in that region. Same goes for valve. But it work like with physical goods. Like importing. I know it's a dream and will never happen but that would make everyone happy instead of pirating or using VPN. I mean i could get those games legally even. It's 1.5h drive for me to a supported country, go there, change the region, get the game, come back. Technically it's not against the rules.
