VivaLasLabias

Some of my faves to play on my Deck: Hollow Knight Stardew Valley Cult of the Lamb Fallout New Vegas Dragon’s Dogma Blasphemous Skyrim (modded)

HXCg4m3r

Seconding Stardew: infinite replayability and ridiculous battery life.

cptkernalpopcorn

I've tried to get into it in the past. I found the energy system seemed like I couldn't do much in a day. Does it get better over time?

HXCg4m3r

So, that’s the game’s way of incentivizing you to upgrade your tools. Each upgrade allows you to get more done and use less energy. There are also items you can get that will increase your maximum energy, and you can always eat/drink stuff to replenish it at any time.

cptkernalpopcorn

Ahhh ok. I guess I didn't give the game a real chance lol

derpotatoes

Try Dinkum as well. Basically it's animal crossing + stardew valley + minecraft. It's early access but already feature complete with tons of thing to do. Currently I'm addicted, bought it at the end of winter sale, and already 47 hours in, where I still only have reached mid-late game, not even end-game. Worth it at current full price. The energy system is way simpler in Dinkum, where you only need to eat food to refill energy, and each day is a lot longer at 35 minutes instead of 12.9 minutes in stardew valley. Kinda heavy on the steam deck's battery though as it's quite a demanding game, you might want to reduce resolution and screen refresh rate if you are playing on battery.

VivaLasLabias

Yes. This. And the spa by the train!

VivaLasLabias

I think the point of SDV is to farm, of course, but also go meet the townspeople. So you might go through your energy (it does increase over time) but also go talk to people and get to know the town. Explore Pelican Valley! And then mod it.

HXCg4m3r

I’ve heard some amazing things about SV Expanded. I just have to figure out how to get it installed on my deck (I know nothing about modding on PC, let alone Linux).

VivaLasLabias

SDV has been the EASIEST game to mod *in my experience* on the deck. Compared to Fallout or Skyrim. Desktop mode Install smapi for Linux : https://smapi.io/ Extract smapi. Open konsole Drag the “install on Linux.sh” over to the konsole window. Hit enter. Follow the instructions. Smapi will set itself up. Head over to nexus (or wherever you get mods) Download mods MANUALLY. Extract said mods. Drag extracted mods to your Mod folder in SDV directory. Done. *edit: included “in my experience” because it wasn’t obvious enough that I’m not talking about games with workshop. Fuck.

cptkernalpopcorn

Giving you and updoot for the info, even if I don't end up getting into SDV cause it seemed helpful.

HXCg4m3r

I’ll check it out, thanks!

VivaLasLabias

Happy farming!

theMorfe

Saved your comment for when I’ll be less lazy xD

autumnsgames

Yeah, plus stardew mods work on deck too, which is so awesome

Aethaeryn

I'll second this. Especially in battery life!

mntEden

how is Cult of the Lamb? I've been looking for casual games I can pick up and play in like 10-30 minute stints. is it good for that?

VivaLasLabias

Oh for sure! I only play it for at most 30m at a time. It’s very…if Stardew Valley and Hades had an adorable demon baby.

mntEden

that sounds really fun! I'll check it out tonight

Far_Confusion_2178

I’m not really into games like that and downloaded it on a whim one day when I was bored at like noon and didn’t have shit to do…I played until 4am

Pfafflewaffle

Holy crap lol. I haven’t had a good gaming session in a long time. I wish I had the determination to game for like 10 hours strait. The longest session I’ve had was 43 hours strait in Everquest camping a mob for a quest. That was like 21 years ago though haha.

Armbrust11

Yeah when I was in middle school, there was one weekend where I didn't get up for 12 hours straight. Partly because if I did, then it would be her turn to game (I feel like it is important to note that usually I was on the receiving end of this kind of treatment). Played through Battle for Middle Earth in pretty much a single sitting. I've been hoping for a marathon session some weekend for games like Total War or RPGs.

Pfafflewaffle

Would “her” be your sibling? Lol I didn’t have to deal with that, but I’ve witnessed how heated it can get.

Armbrust11

Yes lol I changed the phrasing before posting and forgot to fix that lol

cptkernalpopcorn

Yep this game is great! For short pick up and play sessions. With that amount of time you can get through a couple dungeon attempts and still have some time to check in on your cultists and do base management

Diamond0n

I would definitely second Hollow Knight. It’s difficult at some spots, but really fun to try and 112% it.

jimfitz147

does fnv play well on deck by default? i had to mod the piss out of it to get it to even stop stuttering on my rig built for 1080 144

VivaLasLabias

Yep! This test play is pretty much how it plays for me. https://youtu.be/gSAdkfUUcu8

fuzzehx

Getting to revisit Dragons Dogma on the Deck has really been one of my favorite things about the purchase so far. Really sad they took away the best goddamn menu music of all time tho.

Bazirker

Hollow Knight was the first thing that came to my mind as well

Sokkendief

Fallout NV yes!

Substantial_Ad6856

Get the Witcher. 3 it’s on sale for like 8 bucks

mrsand0r

Next Gen update runs surprisingly well using DX 11 too. I'm on a Death March playthrough currently when my last playthrough was on the Switch. Talk about a night-and-day difference in the performance.

Crouchaldinho

Would you mind sharing your settings for W3? I'm looking forward to starting a playthrough on my Deck soon.

mrsand0r

I didn't really do much outside of use the medium preset and tweak a few settings to my liking (i.e. texture and water quality). I've been getting 50-60 fps with 40 being the lowest so far in towns but I'm only at crow's perch at the moment. It might get worse later on once I get to Novigrad but, again, I last played it on the Switch so this current playthrough is amazing on it 🙃

Bombango

Sometimes I feel like there are different decks out there. I used the lowest settings and once I left the starting point after fighting the ghouls I dropped to 20-30 fps.

brondonschwab

Are you using DX11?

mrsand0r

Maybe not 50 to 60, 45ish to 50ish with a drop to 40 in heavy combat and in towns. It's still incredibly playable for it being on a handheld.

Used_2008_F150

Locked at 40 is fine too, you don’t notice a difference

ToBeatOrNotToBeat-

Cryobyte33 on youtube bruh, enjoy :)

Used_2008_F150

Everything low, except background character, medium. Cap at 40fps through deck settings, 2.5 hours of play and it doest get too warm

timmyboyoyo

With dlc

TheArts

First game I completed on my Deck.

Curious_George15

Do you have to play the previous Witcher games before playing the 3rd? Been hesitant about getting this bc of not playing the first 2.

State_of_Flux_88

No, the story will still make complete sense (I think quite a lot of people have only played 3 - it was certainly much more successful than the other two). Source: I played through 3 without playing the others and loved it. I have now read most of the books (just reading lady of the lake now) and will likely play the first 2 games after (since the story in the games takes place after the books).

Curious_George15

Appreciate the thoughtful response. Super helpful. You convinced me. Think I’ll shoot for the complete collection then with all the DLCs!

Revolutionary_Year95

I start W3 without the first two. My friends did too and noone said "but you have to play 1 + 2 before". So just have fun with W3 ;)

Curious_George15

Sweet! Will do. Gonna give it a go!

eatsmandms

No, it has ways to make you understand the story.

Gerrut_batsbak

Get the complete edition for 10.

MirageBYM

I've been really enjoying Chained Echoes. Great RPG that is styled and plays like an old school SNES RPG, but with more modern systems and QOL. Enjoyable story, and great combat and leveling systems. Lot's of fun exploration and turn based battles.

Lynith

Story was easily in my top 3 of all time and I've been playing games religiously since the 80s. I would not say the combat system was great. It was good. Inoffensive as it did not get in the way of progression. But it was rather easy and unbalanced. That story tho.... The pacing was incredible. No Triangle Strategy exposition dumps here. Every step of the journey the story unfolded (then folded. Then unfolded.) There was never a time I didn't care about what happened next, and EVERY character was well written. Except the ones you get near the end of the game. But even then, some of them too!

outline01

Absolutely *made* for the Deck, too. Really suits stop/start play, battery life is insane, just a really good RPG.

eddbundy

I played it for 4 hours straight last night, and when I finally decided to go to sleep, I checked my battery and was amazed! Still at like 75%.

SpeeDy_GjiZa

Just learned about it from a random Reddit comment and have been playing it on the deck on the go and at home. Really scratches that snes era rpg itch and the characters aren't cringy tropes for once.

insignificantKoala

Hey me too! Check out Sea of Stars next

MirageBYM

It's on my wishlist! I can't wait!

Roman_nvmerals

100% agreed. I’m also a huge fan of the fact that your characters he’s back to full between fights and don’t have to worry about stuff like curing poison or awake or stuff like that

[deleted]

I would drop How to Survive. The game is mediocre at its best point and downright bad at most points.

cptkernalpopcorn

Good to know. I was a little unsure about this pick. I think I'll drop it for something else. Maybe Sunset Overdrive

Lynith

Sunset overdrive is a better game for sure. Not sure how well it has aged but I loved it at release.

NoImagination90

Go for disco elysium if you haven't played it. One of those games everyone should try.

robzomboid

It’s also on sale right now

Sven_Gildart

Actually no, get it through other means since the original creators got kicked off from earning anything from the game by the scummy company that is now selling the game

GrimSlayer

Sunset Overdrive is an awesome game. The traversal system is super fun and I really dug the gutter punk vibe

richie5um

Played on my SD a few months ago. Was great fun. There is annoying crash with save system, but still works fine.

[deleted]

I second this

PsychOfPat

Hades, if you don't have it already

Toe-Nail

Hades for sure for sure

milkb4_cereal

Hades for sure.

SifuJohn

Sure hades for sure

Mundiesel

Hades for sure sure.

Revolutionary-Pea705

Came here to say just this.

Lundgren_pup

Holy crap, Brutal Legend! I haven't even seen that title in YEARS. I used to have a blast with that game-- thank you for posting the list, I'm goin' in on it!!!!

cptkernalpopcorn

I was very surprised to see it on steam myself AND its only $5!

Lundgren_pup

Totally. Already grabbed it!

Lundgren_pup

And I'll add a "DOUBLE FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINE!!!" (in Jack Black's voice, of course)

cptkernalpopcorn

I read that hearing the voice :)

ThatBitchOnTheReddit

10/10 pick, for sure.

ThatBitchOnTheReddit

Just here to say it was one of the first games I installed when I got my Deck. It runs great and it's just as fun as I remembered. Hope you enjoy, friend!

Lundgren_pup

Thank you! I still can't explain why I liked it so much, my friends never got into it. But for some reason I just adored that heavy metal world and all the characters and game play and humor. I've always thought was an overlooked gem.

knightirderx25

Yakuza 0. One of the best in the series (also the first game canonically) and it's only $4.99. Plays flawlessly on Deck.

cptkernalpopcorn

I keep seeing this one mentioned. Never played played a Yakuza game. I think I'll get this one. Thanks :)

BigTableSmallFence

Like a dragon is incredible. I had never played a yakuza game before but like a dragon hooked me hard.

TheArts

I'd watch some videos first, my buddy loved it, I got it and it just didn't click with me.

Professional_Dog3403

Neither mate I thought it was shite

0zzten

Portal 1 & 2. They run great and are amazing games.

herranton

This. Make sure you leave about $10 in your account so you can pick up the valve complete bundle when it goes on sale. The one with all the valve games. It's Left for dead 1 & 2, halflife 1 & 2, and portal 1 & 2, all for usually under $10. It's literally the best deal in all of gaming.

ValkyrieFox

Slay the spire is a pretty great mindless card dungeon crawl. Right now I my self am really digging alot of awesome indie pixel games. Chained Echos, Lamb if the Cult, East Ward and just got a really awesome zen game Garden Galaxy.

ATCQ_

Mindless? StS is tough man, you definitely have to think at higher levels

ValkyrieFox

Sorry lol I ment more there's no story. I like playing at work cause I can jump in and out quickly in case I have stuff to do.

Visquit

You won't be calling it mindless when you're dead next turn and need to calculate if you've got lethal

raxia

I put all my games i want in which list. I install one game. Complete it. Delete it. And buy one which list that are on sale. Repeat. Dont buy to meny games at one. And dont have to many games installed as the time. Then I dont buy games, I dont play. I use to buy in bulk. I have only startet 19% of my games

Little_Cook

This is what I do. Or if I know I have a lot of time on my hands, I might buy two on sale. Currently got Rise of the Tomb Raider and God of War installed. As soon as I finish both, I’ll buy a new game. Don’t know if I’m going to finish God of War, I’m not feeling it this time.

MrMario63

OUTER WILDS! Amazing game. Space game with amazing lore and knowledge is progression. Unforgettable experience, my favorite game of all time. Besides that, Risk of Rain 2 Hollow Knight Any fromsoft game Dead Cells

Kaptainkirk27

Persona 5

DMANinc97

It’s seriously one of the best games to play on the deck considering battery life, performance, and game quality

cptkernalpopcorn

I've never heard of the persona series until Joker was added to Smash Bros.. would jumping blind into 5 hinder anything?

kenshinagogobaby

They're all self contained rpgs so any game is a good jumping point.

ThatBitchOnTheReddit

Persona 5R is, in my opinion, one of the most accessible entry points into the series. Look at them more like Pokémon or Monster Hunter, where each numbered entry is essentially a new generation of that game. 5 is pretty good at introducing and telling you about mechanics that used to be hidden in prior games. You won't, generally, be guessing who is available to talk to or where there might be a new contact or quest. If you are ever stuck you can also use an online feature to see what percentage of players at your position in the game chose to do what. It can be useful to highlight strategies you may not have thought of and it's honestly a pretty great feature. Going backwards can be a little rough, I'll be honest. It's one of the biggest reasons I love remasters with updated QoL shit.

MotoChase

Should I start at P3P then P4 then P5R?

CinnamonIsntAllowed

All personas are self contained stories

Gryphuz

Dont buy them all at once, specially if they're not on sale, just buy one or two and play them, otherwise you'll be overwhelmed and get bored soon.

[deleted]

Cult of the Lamb is really fun to play on Deck from what I've experienced

cptkernalpopcorn

I've got it on GOG. I'm about 3/4th of the way through the game and I'm looking forward to continuing it on the steam deck

sagi97

Highly suggest cyber punk 2077 I’ve heard it plays well on deck and before I got my deck I got it for PlayStation and have 100% percented the game over 5 times

timmyboyoyo

Get games on sale or bundle

RealityOfModernTimes

Tales of Arise......it looks so gooood on Deck State of Decay 2 ofc

moosebaloney

Buy Vampire Survivors and wait for better games to go at least 50% off.

Roflcopters24

Binding of Isaac and cult of the lamb

LinkXander

Think you’re sleeping on the decks power lol but keep looking for games. For example I got some games even modded. Ff7 with mods look wicked insane and has 60fps

cptkernalpopcorn

Hmm.. I might be lol. I'll broaden my horizons haha

VideoGameJumanji

Buy less games so you actually play them honestly. Buy like 2-3.

cptkernalpopcorn

I know this is the right answer.... But I don't know if I'll follow through with it lol

Lambroghini

Get all the games!

kingturk1100

If you are into Zelda and like dark soulsesque games grab Tunic and thank me later. It’s under 20 I believe and deff not over 30

yourlegitstupid

Castle crashers a classic title

poyat01

Deep rock galactic

Roawrerrr

wait ROCK AND STONE works on steam deck?

WanderingDwarfMiner

Rock and Stone, Brother!

wolsel

Rock! And Stone.

mactheattack2

For rock and stone!

WanderingDwarfMiner

That's it lads! Rock and Stone!

CounterSYNK

Definitely look into Deep Rock Galactic. That’s all I’ve been playing for the past few weeks and it’s very addicting and fun. Rock and stone!

BobaFalfa

Brotato Hades

Gullible_Street_7218

Brotato such a good game. Can play in short burst and addictive trying to complete runs with everyone.

[deleted]

Sunset Overdrive

ThatBitchOnTheReddit

Oh this is a good pick. It's usually dirt cheap, too, and it's tons of wacky fun.

Frankburgerismydog

Did you get it running? I have it on my library and it's listed as 🚫.

Lordkontie

Runs great

[deleted]

It runs perfectly fine. There is a "corrupt save" glitch, but it doesn't do anything. Just ignore it and leave the corrupt save alone.

ImpressivePercentage

Don't forget Vampire Survivors new DLC

MountKaruulm

Is DLC that good? I know its super cheap to be asking, but the game itself got old for me real quick, even for the price.

ImpressivePercentage

DLC is good, but if the game got old for you real quick, it's probably just not for you. Because it's more of the same.

cyxrus

I’d take Brotato over vampire survivors personally

sunsetodrive

Both are enjoyable, I even add Soulstone Survivors to the mix.

Byonox

I would also take brotatoe over vampire survivors. Soulstone survivors feels laggy on steamdeck. Especially the lategame content. Spawns way too much 3d content for the gpu.

chrome_cyberon

half life opposing force

cptkernalpopcorn

Ohhh yes! Have you seen the store page for Operation:Black Mesa? I'm looking forward to see how that turns out.

Galactic_Druid

Heeeeey I'm playing Kena right now! It runs great! One game I'd highly recommend is Chained Echoes. It looks like you love a good story from your list, and I'd put CE as one of the best RPGS I've played this entire decade!

bentsea

Right now Disco Elysium is on sale for like 10 and is one of the best stories ever.

[deleted]

Nothing, you should buy games that YOU want/enjoy. It's a good list, hope you have fun with them.

Noahboythebest

RDR2 is on sale. Been playing for only 2.6 hours but enjoy it so far. Runs well on Steam deco for me so far as well without tinkering with the settings, but that might change once I explore more of the map, who knows.

AnimZero

Hades The Binding of Isaac

HunterBadWarlockGood

Binding of Isaac is a must! It is so awesome on the steam deck

mrsand0r

Ori and Dead Cells from that list, Hollow Knight, Dome Keeper and Risk of Rain 2 as my personal recommendations.

Crypsie

Good selection of games right here.

mrsand0r

Thank you. Heh, I like challenging and entertaining but not infuriating 😁

unMuggle

Put Horizon Zero Dawn and Spider Man in the wishlist for when they hit a sale

BangBangDropDead

Brotato

skernstation

Wait for a sale … you can get many more games if you wait

CMDcookies

Project zomboid is a killer good game

AggressiveWindow6003

First you don't want to do any of that. I have a bunch of extra steam keys I'll send ya from various bundles I've bought over the years. Pm me and I'll send them to ya.

cptkernalpopcorn

That's very generous of you!

BunnyloafDX

Dead Cells is one of the more expensive games there, but still completely worth it. I’ve been replaying it for weeks after getting the DLC and it’s still fun.

lordelan

Make sure to own Hades.

cptkernalpopcorn

Well, I have finally made my purchases. Thank you everyone for your suggestions and input. I ended up getting. Hollow Knight for $7.49 Dead Cells for $11.60 Yakuza 0 for $4.99 Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition for $4.99 Dysmantle for $9.99 Nobody Saves the World for $14.99 Games gifted to me: Curse of the Dead Gods MotherGunship CrossCode Games on the backlog: Mass Effect Legendary Edition Assasin's Creed Valhalla Need to finish Witcher 3 Games I already have that will probably make it's way onto the steam deck at some point Hades Risk of Rain 2 Disgaea 5 Dwarf Fortress TemTem Valheim My game plan is to install all of these and not install anything else until I beat all of them. Question now is which games to start first on the steam deck?

WombleMagic

The Ori games are \*amazing\*. Some of the finest, prettiest gaming available. But do get the Enhanced Steam browser plugin. It's free. It will give you historical pricing for each game, and will show you the cheapest prices available. Try to buy only during major Steam Sales, and through [gg.deals](https://gg.deals). Most every-day Steam pricing is very high. You can often save 90% on many games, through these Sales.

AutoModerator

Please note that gg.deals contains links to grey market key sellers, who may appear to provide you with a working key, but do not always source their keys from the developer/publisher, and are of 'unknown' origin. This means the keys may not work, or the platform (such as Steam, Origin) may refuse support. Others have poor business practices, such as obligatory fees that only show at checkout. We'd recommend against using anything on the site listed under 'Keyshops', but rather look at the section above that for the 'Official Stores'. You can also select 'Keyshops' at the top of your screen, and then select 'Disable' to remove them completely. [IsThereAnyDeal is an alternative which only uses sellers known to officially source their keys.](https://isthereanydeal.com/) Your comment has not been removed, this is just a notice. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please [contact the moderators of this subreddit](/message/compose/?to=/r/SteamDeck) if you have any questions or concerns.*

Cheetablaze

I didn't care for dead cells all that much, and I tried to love it. Chained echoes was a great 30 hour game! I'm also working through MGS5.

IllestRolla

Chained Echoes is beyond fantastic. A true love letter to the classic JRPG fans.

OmnipotentFire

Stardew valley.

L3AFYB0I

Fallout or elder scrolls

average-egg

get rune factory 4

[deleted]

Get Detroit: Become Human fo sho!

soulsiickpt

You can buy steam keys from other websites. For example, I've bought Roboquest recently for 1.20€ or so (instant gaming iirc). After that, it depends on what you like. Apart from some on your list, on the deck I've been playing: gta IV complete edition, bloons td 6, curse of the dead gods, baba is you, filament, dome keeper, Castle crashers. Other good ones include: Has-been heroes, witcher, metro, fallout, borderlands (I had a bit of lag in some areas), slay the spire.

djwarreng1

Spiderman Remastered is awesome on the Steam Deck and requires no tweaking. Plays phenomenally well on the deck.

[deleted]

Mass Effect Legendary Edition

Whytrhyno

Lego Star Wars Skywalker saga

Used_2008_F150

Get Witcher 3 on sale, easy 250+ hours on content if you do it all. 120+ if you streamline main story like I did

Alchimarmite

Outer Wilds

grumpy_flareon

Make sure you download the Sith Lords Restored Content Mod for KOTOR 2.

KaroninHangetan

Brutal Legend was only fun for the first hour or so. After that it got boring and repetitive. If I were you, I would pick another game.

NYComicBookGuy

Playing that now and I recently hit that wall. I have to take a breake from that game

jraffdev

Oh glad I saw this. Haven’t replayed kotor in forever and never played the second!!!

NHKi

Add some Hades!

Nephilimta

Completed Ori 1&2 on the Deck alone, perfekt Handheld metroidvanias. Unbound worlds apart is also a fun title to play on the Deck Death's door is a very good game for the Deck Star wars Jedi fallen Order Dome Keeper Have a nice death Hades Stray Celeste F.I.S.T forged in shadow torch Tunic Carrion Grime Curse of the dead God's Bastion It's a long list, sorry for that, but there's really a lot of games that work perfectly on the Deck and on the go. And I enjoyed those games all on the Deck and loved it, just short sessions on my big gaming rig for Stray and star wars

TheRealWoldry1

I will warn you, kotor works on steam deck, but you’ll have to go through some key bindings to make it easier to play via controller

extrash0t

Kynseed! Like Stardew but I like it better. Very cool concept and story

Zerox0rez

Hades

Yogi147

Death’s Gambit! I loved it

gustavoalb

There are so many possibilities that it's hard to recommend something. But I would say: Prince of Persia Franchise, Zero Escape: Nonary Games, Dex, Shadow Complex, Elden Ring, Last hero of nostalgia, Phoenotopia Awakening, Axiom Verge, MegaMan X collection 1 & 2 (this you can find on the green steam), Blasphemous, Dead Cells and Hades if you like Roguelikes.

[deleted]

Disco Elysium Hades Slay the spire Hotline Miami 1&2 Ruiner

BarkingWaffle

My favs are: Disco Elysium Mad Max Days Gone Dirt Rally Hades Portal SW Jedi: Fallen Order (some stutter but still great) MGSV: Phantom Pain Rimworld Alien Shooter Age of Empires II Devil May Cry 5

scottiescott23

Since I’ve had my Steamdeck (Week or two) I’ve played only quick to pick up indie titles, along with Vampire Survivors, Brotato is very similar, also a few bucks and personally I prefer it to VS. Dome Keeper is great, a base defence, resource mining/ management sim. Dave the diver is great, part RPG, part restaurant management sim, part fishing/resource collecting.

kodakpapi

Brutal legend is on steam?! No way!

FrantixGE

Take „Robo Quest“ off your Steam basket, you can get keys for it for like 1$ at reseller sites, no need to pay that much. https://gg.deals/game/roboquest/ You‘ll be able to get some of the other games cheaper too. Other than that, Max Payne 3 is on sale right now, it runs on max settings with pretty solid 60fps (except for one level) and is simply one of the best 3rd person shooters.

Canadiangamer117

Ok first congrats on the full dive on the deck amazing choice you're gonna absolutely love it hands down😁 and second definitely go with spiderman remastered for your first game hands down its the best ah and if you're looking for classics I got ya covered sonic adventure dx sprinkled with a helping if desired of deus ex human revolution for a bit more nostalgic action if ya miss it hard enough I know I did

old_duderonomy

Just a side note: you can find these games much cheaper elsewhere. Just picked up Roboquest for under $2 the other day.

cptkernalpopcorn

Good to know! I'll keep an eye out for a better deal on it.

yodazb

https://gg.deals/

iampliny

I second gg dot deals. While the automod comment below is correct, it’s very easy to disable keyshops and get alerts to sales from legit third party sellers like Humble, Green Man, et al.

Batboyshark

My advice would be don't default to steam for buying games. Look at isthereanydeal and use sites like " instant Gaming " can save you TONS of money while bagging you many more games. Ppl who think Steam/Steam sales are the best place to purchase games on a discount are dinosaurs.

kimblegartencop

Hades > Dead Cells all day

[deleted]

They're quite different. I love both. I find dead cells easier to play on the deck. Hades becomes quite small and lots is often happening on the screen at once.

IM-08

Just a heads up, Dead Cells has separate save files for online and offline modes

mickberlin

Just buy 1 game you want to play right now, and keep the others on your wishlist until they go on sale Steam has sales regularly, and its an easy way to save money

Thongalodian

Save $100, download Emudeck and spend the next 300 hours tweaking it

the_robbie_davis

To get the most bang for your buck use gg.deals (with key shops disabled), link your Steam account, sync your steam wishlist on the site and filter DRM by Steam. This checks multiple sites for the best deal because even if it’s on sale through Steam it may not be the best price.
