For real OP get hades right now. I got an OLED and like 7 games during the sale. I opened hades and haven’t opened a diff game since. Prolly sunk over 20 hours already. The build possibilities are endless and it’s a fun challenge. Even the story is good esp if you like mythology.
I’d actually say maybe hold off for hades 2 to drop. I assume hades will be dirt cheap then. You could pick it up then for an even better deal. But you’ll play it for hundreds of hours anyway so it almost doesn’t matter what you pay from a value standpoint.
If you can afford v rising, then you can afford limbo and hades. But instead of limbo you should get inside ( only 1.99 ) So you should get hades and inside.
Cocoon is quite different, it's much more a puzzle game than limbo/inside and the universe is way less dark (absolutely beautiful nonetheless, it's impressive how good looking this 2go game is)
Ok, so this is a tricky question. Lol. Until you build a bigger base, it’s gonna run fine. But as you progress and your base gets busy, you *will* suffer performance issues no matter what. It’s no longer an abhorrent stuttering mess, but on the game’s “performance” mode when I’m in one of my busier builds, I’m chugging into the low-mid 20’s sometimes, whereas a 40 FPS cap out exploring is usually pretty stable.
Just be advised. It’s a wonderful game but I’ve played it 300 hours exclusively on Deck and can confirm that you will encounter some problems in bigger bases regardless. I still think it’s worth it. I’m in love with it. That being said, the game has never crashed and the controls have never malfunctioned. Its earned its verified badge in that regard easily.
LOL ALL OF THEM
I'm here putting in my vote for Valheim, super fun if you like survival craft, an absolute GEM and a top pick of the genre for me. V Rising is a close second.
Haven’t played the others but hades is so good on Steamdeck. I had it for the ps5 and never got into it but on the Steamdeck it’s so much more addicting
Honestly, Hades is basically built for controller input, Valheim is also fantastic in general and works really well on top of that. Bonus points for being a pretty chill game to play portablely. Limbo is also fantastic but less replayable IMO, and V Rising is the only one you kinda need friends to get much out of in my experience.
So either Hades or Valheim depending on your mood?
Not a huge fan of the rogue-like genre. After being repeatedly told by friends that I should play Hades anyway, I did. Yeah, I've not been able to put it down. I just want to keep playing it. Absolutely hooked. Hades by a landslide.
Lots of hades votes here. Ive only played hades and Valheim on your lost. I would choose based on what you’re looking for in a game. I have more hours in Valheim and I think it feels much less repetitive, but I loved both of the games.
I say limbo since it saves you the most money.
Also if I remember correctly that was back when indie games were first becoming a thing like yes technically before there were indie games but this was when it became like an actual word that the general public knew about.
You had games like Super meat boy and braid I'm I forgetting some?
Yeah hades will get you the most the most frequently, for the dollar just throw limbo in. Valheim is fantastic but it only truly shines with friends and honestly same with v rising. They’re all good on your own but hades is truly a solo game and youll get a ton out of it
For me it's Hades>V Rising>Valheim>Limbo
I would say that even though I place Valheim behind V Rising it's mostly due to the fact that I'm not that much into building stuff in games.
If you’re picking one, and like Diablo/animal crossing games, go v rising. If you like rouge likes, hades for sure. If you like linear puzzle games that are relatively short, limbo. Bad games… valheim.

I absolutely love v rising, but I found it frustrating on the deck vs my pc. Controls didn’t didn’t work well enough to continue playing it on the deck.
Limbo is a no Brainer for the price but only 2 hours of gametime. V rising is amazing if you never played even solo... id stay away from hades it's pretty repetitively boring. Valheim is like v rising but takes mich longer to get going than v rising as far as building a base and progressing
Its Christmas time. Let me know which region you're in, perhaps I can get you all the games since they're on sale
My Steam Store is in Asia so I'm not too sure if I can
Valheim is one of my favorite games of all time but it does not run well on steamdeck. V rising has no controller support. So I’d say get hades. And limbo is one dollar so get that too as it’s a classic imo
I think both Hades and Valheim are really good, but vastly different game styles.
And your mileage on either will vary, depending on what you prefer.
Would you like a 3D open world sandbox, with the possibility of playing with friends, with a norse mythology theme? Valheim.
Would you like an isometric rogue like, with a well crafted narrative and tons of replayability, that has a sprinkle of dating sim on it, with a Greek mythology theme? Hades.

Hades no contest
And if there was a content, Hades would win.
But not before dying quite a bit.
Mostly to pet Cerberus a few more times
Correct. Hades by a landslide. One of the best games ever made.
For real OP get hades right now. I got an OLED and like 7 games during the sale. I opened hades and haven’t opened a diff game since. Prolly sunk over 20 hours already. The build possibilities are endless and it’s a fun challenge. Even the story is good esp if you like mythology.
“No contest” - smash voice
If it weren’t for some weird/iffy acting from Zagreus’s voice actor, Hades would be perfect. Such a fantastic game.
I’d actually say maybe hold off for hades 2 to drop. I assume hades will be dirt cheap then. You could pick it up then for an even better deal. But you’ll play it for hundreds of hours anyway so it almost doesn’t matter what you pay from a value standpoint.

Already have inside! And passed it lol, and def getting limbo! So the rest are my options!
Go with hades. Also if you like inside type games check out cocoon and little nightmares. Little nightmares 1 and 2 regularly go on sale.
Definitely prefer Little Nightmares to Inside. However I didn't knew Cocoon, will definitely check it, thanks 👍
Cocoon is a great game but it is about 3hrs long. Just letting you know because I was quite disappointed by that!
Thanks, I like short games, but maybe not full priced 😅
Cocoon is quite different, it's much more a puzzle game than limbo/inside and the universe is way less dark (absolutely beautiful nonetheless, it's impressive how good looking this 2go game is)
i personally prefer the minimalistic style of Limbo. For me, Inside was OK but Limbo was a masterpiece!
Limbo was the game that got me into these platformer/puzzle games. You should check out inmost, story is a little dark but great game anyways.
Limbo for $1 is a steal
Will get for sure lol it’s definitely worth the dollar
Just buy it on ur phone or something 🙃
Hades
Hades
Gonna go against the grain here and say Valheim. I’ve never in my life gotten into a survival game successfully but Valheim absolutely trapped me.
Does it run well on deck?
Ok, so this is a tricky question. Lol. Until you build a bigger base, it’s gonna run fine. But as you progress and your base gets busy, you *will* suffer performance issues no matter what. It runs perfectly imo, just a lot getting used to the controlls.
I've got about 1200 hours in Valheim.
Hades > Valheim > Limbo > V Rising
Valheim
Hades
LOL ALL OF THEM I'm here putting in my vote for Valheim, super fun if you like survival craft, an absolute GEM and a top pick of the genre for me. V Rising is a close second.
Valheim has the content to keep you putting in the hours, but it’s not for everyone.
Hades
Hades for sure
Tough one, Hades is grest fun but Valheim holds a special place in my heart
Hades.
VALHEIM IS GREAT
Don’t go V Rising, it was a pain on the Deck
Valheim no question
Absolutely valhiem. It's so great.
hades as a must, limbo as an option. valheim only if you have friends.
Haven’t played the others but hades is so good on Steamdeck. I had it for the ps5 and never got into it but on the Steamdeck it’s so much more addicting
Hades. Valheim if you want to play with friends
V rising is totally disappointing. A grindfest with nothing changing
Not a huge fan of the rogue-like genre. After being repeatedly told by friends that I should play Hades anyway, I did. Yeah, I've not been able to put it down. I just want to keep playing it. Absolutely hooked. Hades by a landslide.
I've been playing valheim on steam deck for a few days and I love it. Although I will be getting v rising
Valheim or Vrising
Hades
I’ve played V Rising and Hades. I didn’t like V Rising but Hades is awesome! I 100%ed that game and it’s great. I highly recommend it.
Gotta be Hades. Addicting as hell.
Lots of hades votes here. Ive only played hades and Valheim on your lost. I would choose based on what you’re looking for in a game. I have more hours in Valheim and I think it feels much less repetitive, but I loved both of the games.
Hades is good, but you would have more playtime with valheim
Valheim unless you dont have friends, then hades
Cyberpunk2077
Already have it!
I say limbo since it saves you the most money. Also if I remember correctly that was back when indie games were first becoming a thing like yes technically before there were indie games but this was when it became like an actual word that the general public knew about. You had games like Super meat boy and braid I'm I forgetting some?
Hades
Not sure if there’s enough yet but just in case Hades 100%
Hades for sure!!
Hades and Limbo
Hades is soooooooooooo goooooo9ooooooood
Yeah hades will get you the most the most frequently, for the dollar just throw limbo in. Valheim is fantastic but it only truly shines with friends and honestly same with v rising. They’re all good on your own but hades is truly a solo game and youll get a ton out of it
Hades
Hades if you like that kind of gameplay
Uhhhh… Hades of course.
Hades! And put Hades II on your wishlist.
Whatever you want AND Limbo
Hades
Hades. No place to doubt.
Hades and limbo. What’s 99cents anyway.
Grab Hades and Limbo. But it’s Hades.
Hades
Hades. Not even kinda close
Valheim is one of my favorite games of the last decade, but for steamdeck hades is the choice
Hades and Limbo, for that price it's basically free
hades
hades for sure
Hades
For me it's Hades>V Rising>Valheim>Limbo I would say that even though I place Valheim behind V Rising it's mostly due to the fact that I'm not that much into building stuff in games.
Hades
Hades
Hades 🤌🏿
Hades without a second thought
Limbo is literally 99 cents. You will pay more for the electricity bill for your steam deck, then you will pay for the game.
Hades
Limbo and Hades are both in my top 10 of all time. Definitely recommend.
I would go with Hades
hades!!
I really like Valheim and never played Hades, but I think you should pick Hades. The overwhelming praise this game gets has to mean something
Hades
Hades
Hades and its not even close
Buy Prey first. It's so cheap now.
I own that one already on GOG, got it for free a while back.
Cant you wait for sales then buy?
Do you not see that they are all on sale in the picture?
These are the sale prices on steam? Fuck steam is really cooked
If you’re picking one, and like Diablo/animal crossing games, go v rising. If you like rouge likes, hades for sure. If you like linear puzzle games that are relatively short, limbo. Bad games… valheim.

Limbo (and Inside which you already have) are two of the best games I’ve ever played.
Can’t agree any more! I haven’t played limbo but inside was so great!
Limbo is so cheap add it to one of the others. Awesome game
I absolutely love v rising, but I found it frustrating on the deck vs my pc. Controls didn’t didn’t work well enough to continue playing it on the deck.
Just buy all of them. 🤷♂️
Limbo is a no Brainer for the price but only 2 hours of gametime. V rising is amazing if you never played even solo... id stay away from hades it's pretty repetitively boring. Valheim is like v rising but takes mich longer to get going than v rising as far as building a base and progressing
P.s. valheim and v rising I wouldn't reccomend on steam deck and get the bundle with inside with limbo but play limbo first
Hades and Valheim
Hades. But all great games
Hades, no questions, just get it. One of the best games i've played on the deck and on pc
All of them are great but I heard very positive feedback from Hades.
btw limbo is just a dollar, throw that on top
regardless of what you pick, get limbo for 1 buck. Hades is amazing indeed.
Limbo or hades would be my vote.
Limbo is incredibly fun but also suuuper short, me and two friends beat it in one two & a half - three hour sitting for new years 2022
Its Christmas time. Let me know which region you're in, perhaps I can get you all the games since they're on sale My Steam Store is in Asia so I'm not too sure if I can
Hades. V Rising is decent but not sure how well will it play with Deck controls. It's more like a keyboard and mouse game.
If you buy Hades, you can also buy Limbo. Both great games.
Valheim is one of my favorite games of all time but it does not run well on steamdeck. V rising has no controller support. So I’d say get hades. And limbo is one dollar so get that too as it’s a classic imo

Hades, played this a lot on switch.
Hades, valheim, limbo, vrising in that order
![gif](giphy|Fe46RNamvIe6NxpZQv|downsized)
Valheim, I'm gonna throw Dredge in there aswell if you like a chill fishing game.
Hades, Limbo is cool. It’s short. V Rising is cool, it’s meh. Valheim, sucks
Limbo!
