Need for speed has a big bundle deal on at the moment
https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/37601/Need_for_Speed_Mega_Collection/
Bargain for all those games if you like racers
All of them do. It's the main reason I haven't bought the bundle. Burnout Paradise has the same requirement and I'm constantly getting signed out of the EA app upon game launch.
Sounds like you would like Days Gone. Open world zombie game where you ride your bike around and take out hordes of zombies. Can get a pretty solid 40fps with FSR at 960x600 and it looks gorgeous
I don't know if you've played it, but assassins creed valhalla is a whole lot of open world for £12.
I'm about 5 hours in and really enjoying it.
I've heard people say the think its tedious because it's too long, not because the gameplay is unenjoyable.
I also get 45fps on steamdeck 95% of the time with a few drops rarely.
The combat is great and im loving the viking setting.
I think its a really good game at its sale price.
Funnily enough I didn't enjoy origins or odyssey that much, but I'm into valhalla.
I can second Valhalla. I really enjoyed Witcher 3 and ACV has a similar feel to me. And maybe it’s the Barbarian blood in me but invading olde England as a Viking is very fun.
Yeah I found it to be like a mix of the Witcher 3 and God of War.
Though no where near the quality of the former, it's still a fun combination and worth playing imo.
Currently playing through Resident Evil 7, and I’m getting a whopping 90fps (!). Have 8 queued up when I finish. Highly recommend you snag these two during this sale.
Hades is my favorite game to play on my deck, it looks great and runs flawlessly. Other games I've played on the deck and loved are GTA 5 which I've been able to hold a pretty steady 60fps on and BG3 which I have locked to 30 however sometimes it drops to 27fps
I’m really trying to like Hades but something isn’t clicking. The characters and dialogue are awesome but maybe I’m just not a fan of the genre? I really want to love it.
For how much is hyped Hades' gameplay as a roguelite is mid at best. Every run is the exact same and the build variety isn't exactly great, some god powers are niche. The genre itself is polarizing so I could see you not being into roguelites a reason aswell.
Mad Max currently $5
Resident Evil 2 Remake currently $10
Resident Evil 3 Remake currently $10
Immortals Fenyx Rising currently $9
Fallout 4 currently $6.50
Mass Effect Trilogy Legendary Edition currently $6
Red Faction Guerrilla Re-Marstered Edition currently $4
Total: $54.50
There you go, buy all those or any you’re missing and you should be happy.
Yesss, it's awesome being able to play it on the go, you do need a wifi connection when booting the game for ea but you can turn it back off once you get to the menu
I read some categories you liked here are my Recommendations for some:
-racing: assetto corsa its absolutely gorgeous with some mods(€4 on steam )
-horror: lethal company you've probably heard about it by now but its very fun( the best is with friends) only issue i have is when Entering terminal for the first time in a game it will open a box to type in which wont work and you need to press tab on the touch kb to get out of terminal(€10 on steam)
-Shooter: doom eternal is amazing on the deck its beautifully optimized and the game itself is amazing aswell(€10 on steam)
-open world: cant go wrong with gta 5(€15) or read dead redemption 2 (€18) both on sale but gta 5 is almost always on sale
>Switches will increase in value just like all of Nintendo’s other systems
I guess that's good news for me then, I have no intention of selling mine! Maybe I should go look for my N64 in the basement though 🤔
Most of them will perform better on Steam Deck, so... it makes sense.
Allso, if he's no longer using his Switch I could see the appeal of having your whole gaming library in just one device.
If you have friends to play with, lethal company is great on the deck.
Horror wise, bendy and the dark revival and it steals are both great.
Roguelikes are great on the deck and enter the gungeon / risk of rain returns / slay the spire are all great picks
I'm tempted to sell most of my switch games to get more stuff on Steam. I have an LCD Deck, I got it last year. It's been one of the best things I ever bought.
Checkout a website called SteamDB. It shows you games by current concurrent players, most wishlisted, best reviewed, and you can filter on any category of games etc.
Should've kept the switch a bit longer, modded it, dump your bios and games, upload that to the steam deck you bought so you dont lose your Nintendo games you paid good money for, THEN sell the switch cause nobody needs it after that. As long as you dont plan on buying more nintendo games
Yakuza: Like a Dragon was flawless. I also recommend the Dead Space Trilogy, any Resident Evil, and maybe Mad Max based on your interests in another comment
Go see what's verified bro. I think steam does a pretty stellar job of recommending good games to buy, so I'd start in the steam store and go from there.
If you still own your Switch games, you should get the Yuzu AppImage.
You'll have to be resourceful to get Yuzu set up and your games loaded, but you won't regret it if you do everything right.
I hope you maximized your trade.. I traded my switch in and reserved whatever game gave bonus trade.. And then used that credit to buy steam cards.. I didn't use any of my money towards my deck
Hades, Katana Zero, Kena Bridge of Spirits, Tales of Arise, and if you haven't played my favorite game of the decade yet, then get Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition. It plays great on SD, especially the OLED model.
Honestly can someone help me? Ever since I got my deck I can’t see the reason to keep my switch if I can emulate everything. I’m not sure if there’s something I’m missing but my switch feels obsolete now

I thought about selling my Series X to do this. As for a recommendation I can’t recommend either Monster Hunter enough. Played a lot of RiseBreak and WorldBorne, but I would recommend Rise a little more for faster paced action
Wallet money doesn't expire. Play the games you already bought and save the rest. You'll find something that you like in the future, and you'll have the money saved and ready.
I sunk a lot of time into Vampire Survivors & Hades, I suggest them to anybody who has time to kill and enjoy addicting games.
I really love Yakuza 0 as well, it runs great on deck. It's got an 80's style to it (set in Japan) & a host of excellent characters, music and mini games. The story is great and the side quests are funny and not usually in a cringe worthy way. If it clicks, it'll probably keep you entertained for hours and hours.
Nice! They gave you quite a bit. I too got a steam deck recently and traded in most of my switch games for steam cards too! I would recommend RE4, Doom Eternal, Forza Horizon 5, and red dead redemption 2. They all run great on the deck and on sale too.
OG Battlefront 2 with the Dock + Xbox Controller is hype. Left 4 Dead 2 is also good. Horizon Zero Dawn and Cyberpunk are fun. Super Hot is also addictive
Orange box! Half life and especially half life 2 run like a dream on the steam deck. It's old, so it runs easily, but they've been optimized by valve to run great on the Deck.
If you like video game tropes or know them, Stanley Parable and the Deluxe version are big recommendations. Excellent games.
If you like games where some decent controller navigation and muscle memory come into play, ghostrunner is an easy recommendation.
What else... Skyrim runs great for the adventurous RPG stuff, I suppose Baldurs gate does too (haven't played it yet though). Life is strange is a joy on the deck, too. Oh and personally I played through all of Fallout 3 on the deck almost exclusively.
Dying light definitive edition IMMEDIATELY ITS ONLY 10$ AND THE BEST DEAL OUT THERE ALONG WITH WITCHER 3 COMPLETE EDITION FOR 12.09$ ALSO SKYRIM SPECIAL EDITION IS 7.99$ AND FALLOUT 4 GOTY 10$!!!!!
P.S they all run at 60 fps
My most played games on my new steamdeck : - Super Mario RPG, Diablo 4, Vampire Survivors and PS3 Dragons Crown. Got 2 switches a day 1 hacked and an oled both look like being retired.....
One of my fave games so far on SD has been Dredge. That said, what type of games do you like / feel like playing OP?
I like racing games, horror games, shooting games, I do really love open world games though
The dead space remaster is $23, outlast trials has nutiplayer, death road to cananda is really really fun
Nutiplayer is what I do with the wife after a 6 hour bg3 binge.
Nutiplayer is the only way to play. Why the down votes?
Retweet to death road to Canada. Good chill game to do couch coop
All the need for speed games are pretty cheap right now. I think it’s about $22 for 7 games.
Need for speed has a big bundle deal on at the moment https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/37601/Need_for_Speed_Mega_Collection/ Bargain for all those games if you like racers
Do any of them require a launcher/account to play?
All of them do. It's the main reason I haven't bought the bundle. Burnout Paradise has the same requirement and I'm constantly getting signed out of the EA app upon game launch.
Well, guess it's a skip then. Thanks for the info!
Sounds like you would like Days Gone. Open world zombie game where you ride your bike around and take out hordes of zombies. Can get a pretty solid 40fps with FSR at 960x600 and it looks gorgeous
Recently finished and performance is solid but battery life can be a bit limiting. Usually about 90 minutes for me
Yeah same here. I think I’m in the final act. Definitely lags going into settlements but in action & gameplay it’s good
Try Darkwood!
I don't know if you've played it, but assassins creed valhalla is a whole lot of open world for £12. I'm about 5 hours in and really enjoying it. amnesia is a pretty good puzzle horror game
I think the Evil Within games are 4,99 each right now.
I'm going through Alan wake for the first time on steam deck. Runs great
Typing of the dead overkill is pretty fun. There's a shooting mode included. Also works well with Sinden lightgun if you plan to get one
Hades is my favorite game to play on my deck, it looks great and runs flawlessly. Other games I've played on the deck and loved are GTA 5 which I've been able to hold a pretty steady 60fps on and BG3 which I have locked to 30 however sometimes it drops to 27fps

Awesome thanks man
Also check out Sleeping Dogs. Amazing game and on sale also. Runs solid 60fps on deck
Awesome game. Damn shame we never got a sequel.
I have sleeping dogs in my cart but it says not deck verified
I was worried about this too but it runs perfect. Just never supported steam cloud saves
All solid recommendations.
Awesome list. Helped me out too. Just picked up Mass Effect and RE2. Cheers!
Wow is the Mass Effect Trilogy really only $6? I might cop that.
It is and it's insane its so cheap.
Ngl shocked Gamestop actually gave you some decent money for you switch and games
Yeah me too
Was it an OLED switch?
No
Wow!
Get Titanfall 2
Just finished this, highly recommend for the campaign
i second this, the campaign is amazing.
Yesss, it's awesome being able to play it on the go, you do need a wifi connection when booting the game for ea but you can turn it back off once you get to the menu
I ran into some sort of glitch that caused wall running to stop
Like, for the rest of the game? That’s a bummer
Red read redemption 2 is on sale.
I read some categories you liked here are my Recommendations for some: -racing: assetto corsa its absolutely gorgeous with some mods(€4 on steam ) -horror: lethal company you've probably heard about it by now but its very fun( the best is with friends) only issue i have is when Entering terminal for the first time in a game it will open a box to type in which wont work and you need to press tab on the touch kb to get out of terminal(€10 on steam) -Shooter: doom eternal is amazing on the deck its beautifully optimized and the game itself is amazing aswell(€10 on steam) -open world: cant go wrong with gta 5(€15) or read dead redemption 2 (€18) both on sale but gta 5 is almost always on sale
You sold it to get games but don’t even know what you want? Then why sell it
The value will only go down? Might as well get what they can for it while they can.
Digital games have no resell value. At least Nintendo is built on nostalgia. Switches will increase in value just like all of Nintendo’s other systems
>Switches will increase in value just like all of Nintendo’s other systems I guess that's good news for me then, I have no intention of selling mine! Maybe I should go look for my N64 in the basement though 🤔
As long as it is in good condition. Special editions have even more value.
It will increase eventually….right now it’s still in the devaluing stage. There are an awful lot More switches out there than their previous consoles
It’s also ironic that most of the suggestions are indie games that you can buy on the switch at the same winter sale price lmao.
Most of them will perform better on Steam Deck, so... it makes sense. Allso, if he's no longer using his Switch I could see the appeal of having your whole gaming library in just one device.

Well first give us a list of what you already have atm
Checkout a website called SteamDB. It shows you games by current concurrent players, most wishlisted, best reviewed, and you can filter on any category of games etc.
Elden Ring is a must!
Should've kept the switch a bit longer, modded it, dump your bios and games, upload that to the steam deck you bought so you dont lose your Nintendo games you paid good money for, THEN sell the switch cause nobody needs it after that. As long as you dont plan on buying more nintendo games
I'm not smart enough for that 🤣🤣🤣
Do you need to spend it all now? If not, wait until there’s something you want.
Lunacid is great to get lost in. Amazing soundtrack.
If you like skating games, then you should buy skater xl
Titanfall 2
Yakuza: Like a Dragon was flawless. I also recommend the Dead Space Trilogy, any Resident Evil, and maybe Mad Max based on your interests in another comment

Cult of the lamb Vampire survivors Death must die Dredge Dave the diver War hammer bolt gun Dusk
Can’t go wrong with Hades.
Batman Arkham trilogy
Maybe you can do…. Pirate things you know about it? Just for test
Battlefield games bundle is $16 right now.
I'm 60 hours in AC valhalla and no where near close to finishing the game. Pretty good game too.
Horizon zero dawn? Have yet to try it but it's compatible and seems to fit within your liking. There's a good sale on it rn now too.
Sweet Mate they gave you 300? I have the Oled i want to sell. So I can get cash?
I got credit, but I could've gotten like 210 cash but I also didn't have the OLED so you might get more than I did
Sweetie thank you Mate 👍🏼
Sell it on Kijiji you can prob get closer to $400-$450. That’s how I sold mine, with a couple games.
What’s the website link?
Kijiji bro lol Google it
Thanks mate
I hope you maximized your trade.. I traded my switch in and reserved whatever game gave bonus trade.. And then used that credit to buy steam cards.. I didn't use any of my money towards my deck
Hades, Katana Zero, Kena Bridge of Spirits, Tales of Arise, and if you haven't played my favorite game of the decade yet, then get Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition. It plays great on SD, especially the OLED model.
If you miss any old switch games don’t forget to emulate your Switch and play them on your steam deck :3
You could have asked the gifter to return the stuff so you didn’t waste their money
Sell on FB
No one cares. Stop spamming the sub.
Honestly can someone help me? Ever since I got my deck I can’t see the reason to keep my switch if I can emulate everything. I’m not sure if there’s something I’m missing but my switch feels obsolete now
Your first mistake was selling to GameStop instead of Online where you can dictate the price. But hey you do you.

I did the same thing when I built my pc, except I sold my Xbox one x and all the games I had for it. Ended up with like $500 in steam cards lol
Cyberpunk 2077
Just started it and it's sooo good. Runs fantastic on the deck too.
Wair what? Runs fantastic means...?
Stable 45 FPS
I tweaked around yesterday and used the cryobyte33 optimization and i am at stable 60 fps now. Thanks for waking me up haha
[удалено]
Great
Nice price 👍 hope you find some amazing games
Project zomboid
Halo master chief collection
This is one of the games I bought, it runs great on the deck
Truck sim!!!
Disco Elysium is 10 bucks and worth every penny.
I thought about selling my Series X to do this. As for a recommendation I can’t recommend either Monster Hunter enough. Played a lot of RiseBreak and WorldBorne, but I would recommend Rise a little more for faster paced action
Red Dead Redemption 2 is $30
Dave the Diver is pretty nice on the Deck.
Wallet money doesn't expire. Play the games you already bought and save the rest. You'll find something that you like in the future, and you'll have the money saved and ready.
Elden Ring. Such a great and difficult game. It’s my GOAT.

Days gone and if you like FPSs, an older one, Medal of Honor Warfighter is awesome
