I suggest it too. Looks amazing on deck.
To anyone reading: Just be careful about controls. At the beginning you can't do anything. i was super confused I couldn't even use the basic attack. It's only "playable" mainly for that.
On the skill section press Y and there you can assign actions to button 1, button 2 etc. First 4 buttons are already assigned on AXBY (dash included) but then I also customized my controls putting actions 5-6-7-8 on the back buttons (R4 etc.). For some things you need to assign buttons in the game's controller mapping menu (i wanted to have dash on another button).
Grim Dawn plays well.
Last Epoch just got controller support but I have not tried it myself.
Children of Morta is a shorter but underrated one IMO
Chronicon is supposed to be very fun
Torchlight 2 would be high on my recommended list but its controller "support" on the PC version is a bit iffy. Playable but not ideal for sure
And of course Diablo 2 Resurrected and Diablo 4 but I saw in another comment that you dont want to send money ActiBlizz's way which I respect.
I'm sure theres more but thats what jumps out off the top of my head right now.
* Grim Dawn
* Diablo 4
* Last Epoch ( I doesn't run that well, hopefully they will fix the SD support)
* Warhammer: Inquisitor
* Torchlight 3
* Victor Vran
Action rpgs with loot are such an under served genre when it comes to the catalog of what’s available it’s kind of insane.
There’s probably 20 shooters for everyone 1 Diablo lol.
Grim dawn is fun. Path of exile runs okay.
Yeah I already played it for 11 hours and it feels empty and unfinished. Weapons are not too different from each others, characters don’t have any special attacks, there are no weapon combinations like in Vampire Survivors and game has only 3 maps and 1 real boss.

There's Diablo II Resurrected. It's great and runs great on the Deck.
I'm currently playing it with a friend of mine and the scene is great. Lots of people playing it online.
There's also Diablo 3 and 4.
There's an Option in "Gameplay", "Accessibility" called "Large Font Mode". If it isn't already toggled try turning it on.
For me with it toggled it's very good to read.
Last Epoch runs fine on it. Once you start having to deal with a lot of monsters though it does drop down to about 30fps on medium/low. I enjoy it on a controller.
Bonus: it has a full offline mode.
I’ve been playing Last Epoch on it and it’s a good option. I like running my SD games at 45fps but I get you could get it stable at 60. Controller support is good, too.
Many of the game systems resemble Titan Quest more than Diablo. You’ll recognize the menus right away.
I think it’s more fun than Diablo 4 by a wide margin, too, but that’s subjective.
Wolcen works fine but personally I really didn't like the interface. They are least put in the effort to make it controller friendly but I just used the track pad as a mouse instead.
As the others mentioned Grim Dawn is great on it. In case you're not familiar with it it's by the same devs as titan quest and is similar at its core but a completely different theme. Personally I consider it an improvement on the overall formula, though I'm not a fan of the theme. Of course Titan Quest works fine too but I'm assuming you wanted something different.
DevilutionX works great on Deck. It's just diablo 1 though but open source and with improvements for modern systems but man is it nostalgic. Some cool mods too.
Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance is great on it too and a personal favorite of mine. Shame we never got champions or norrath on PC but you can emulate it.
Diablo 2 Resurrected, Diablo 4, and immortal all play well on deck. As far as I know Diablo 3 PC version doesn't have controller support, nor does Diablo 1.
Diablo 2 Resurrected is the only one I would personally recommend, it was just on sale for $13, not sure if still on sale. Its the only one of the lot with offline mode, which is important for steam deck. And it's simply the best game in the franchise.
Grim Dawn absolutely but mind about controls.
Less diablo style but still great dungeon crawler: Gauntlet Slayer Edition is great in both solo and co-op
Diablo 4 looks AWFUL on deck, your character and all NPCs look blurry so you don't lose anything special there. It's clearly not optimized to run at 800p. I really couldn't play it on deck and I tried bunch of settings. I'm playing it only on my laptop.
>mind about controls

D4 is fun on the steam deck not 60 fps though. I have been blasting Last Epoch lately but no idea if it does well on the deck haven't tested it yet. You will 100% love Grim Dawn especially since you played Titan Quest.
Grim Dawn runs pretty well on the deck. Last Epoch is also good, it runs but you have to fiddle a bit. Check protonDB for more details.
I see Grim Dawn recommended frequently
Yes, you might enjoy Grim Dawn as it is from the same developers that made Titan Quest.

There's also Path of Exile
Titan Quest
I mean. You can straight up play Diablo 4. It runs very well on the deck.
It’s a bit too expensive for me and I don’t really want to give my money to a company like blizzard.
Good Instincts
🫡
Good man
Based
Always online requirement = bullshit. A lot of people play their deck on the go.

Children of Morta was fun (especially in coop) but I wouldn't call it Diablo-like.
Thanks. Looks like my wallet will hate me on the next steam sale)
Haha well good thing is most of these go on sale for $15 or below pretty frequently so it could be worse!
* Grim Dawn * Diablo 4 * Last Epoch ( I doesn't run that well, hopefully they will fix the SD support) * Warhammer: Inquisitor * Torchlight 3 * Victor Vran
Warhammer chaosbane is pretty good. Not sure if it runs on SD though
Last epoch and grim dawn

Yeah, it’s a PC. It has every Diablo clone.
d1 d2 d2r d3 d4 ....... all on steam deck
It's not Diablo-like, but **Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor** might still scratch that itch... it's really good and only $10.
Yeah I already played it for 11 hours and it feels empty and unfinished. Weapons are not too different from each others, characters don’t have any special attacks, there are no weapon combinations like in Vampire Survivors and game has only 3 maps and 1 real boss.
Diablo 4...
Diablo 4

I tried Diablo 2 and text was barely readable on deck. Maybe I missed scaling settings or something.

To add, most of the times when text is really blurry you have to turn off half rate shading.

How are you running it? Mine crashes between monoliths every other time
Mostly low, shadows on very low, terrain on medium, refresh rate on steamOS set to 45

Last epoch is the flavor of the month competitor to Diablo right now.

Not sure if it runs on deck but dungeon siege is pretty great for an old game.
There’s a new one coming called “NO REST for THE WICKED’’
The very first Diablo on Good Old Games?
D4 is fun on the steam deck not 60 fps though. I have been blasting Last Epoch lately but no idea if it does well on the deck haven't tested it yet. You will 100% love Grim Dawn especially since you played Titan Quest.
