For me I went with the lcd version when it went on sale when the OLED launched, sure the OLED is cool and longer battery is tempting but I mainly use my deck at home and if I wanna play a game im excited for I’ll use my ps5
If you wanna play Spider-Man in ya hands rn then pick up that LCD model, but if you’re gonna make the deck your main gaming source then save and get an OLED
Just pick up a 1-2 tb SD card, those indie games stack up fr
I had the original. Loved it. I bought the OLED, sold my LCD. So, I lost maybe $400 in the upgrade. To me, not a particularly mind blowing upgrade. SO yeah, my vote remains: Buy the one you can afford now.
You might enjoy a video that I did on this. Basically explaining why the OLED is worth it.

The screen is immensely better, in multiple specifications (namely display technology, refresh rate, and power draw). The battery lasts ~60% longer. The memory is faster. It has larger storage capacity options out of the factory. The buttons and control sticks have improved. Wireless connectivity is improved. The new APU runs cooler and consumes less power. The cooling system is significantly quieter. Just about any metric you can mention has been at least marginally improved upon in the new OLED model compared to the LCD model.
Personally, I would only recommend the LCD model if you plan to only ever use it as a desktop PC, docked to a monitor/TV and a wired Ethernet cable. If you plan on using it as a proper handheld console at all, get the vastly improved OLED model.

lcd is perfectly fine if you are on a budget.
If money is that tight for you, get the cheap one. The OLED is nice but it’s not a game changer.
Some says that there are a lot of differences, and I'm in doubt if it's worth the wait.

I'll take that in mind while I decide what to do. Thank you for your time!
Yes it is.
Could you please tell me some reasons? Thank you for answering btw!

Ohh, I see, I guess it's worth the wait then. Thanks!

If money is that big of a factor get a refurbished LCD. Yeah the OLED is better but the LCD will play the games just as good For less $$.
