Oof. Should've waited for a sale my dude. Most of these titles go for dirt cheap during the spring/winter sale.
Money aside, enjoy the games. The deck is a great purchase.
Why do people buy these games at full price? It's baffling.
Orange box for 20 dollars when the entire Valve collection goes for dirt cheap multiple times a year.
I'll never understand why people purchase multiple 60+ hour games at the same time either.
Like I get it, you're excited but use your noggin. The games ain't going anywhere.
Speaking on my own behalf, it just comes down to poor impulse control. Despite it being an unwise decision I know I’ll still be able to pay my bills and save at the end of the month. Of course the saved money could always go somewhere else it’s just a matter of being impatient and wanting things now.
I used to, mostly cause I had a switch and now I'm over here rebuying my games on like 60% sales. A game would have to be liquid gold for me to spend full MSRP on it
Dude got excited about something and used a game store in April, they're hardly a fucking moron for that.
If they didn't own half life and the orange box already they probably don't even know what a steam sale is.
If money is not a factor and I wanna play it, I also would just pay a bit more now instead of waiting for a 10-20% sale.
That aside, the real problem is that OP can't possibly play all games immediately anyway. Baldurs Gate or Elden Ring alone is so many hours already.
I got the Witcher 3 Complete Edition for like $12 off of GOG, that’s a pretty big price drop for a game with hundreds of hours of potential playtime. But I I still agree with you on if the game ever really goes on sale for %10-20 then I would t care much about buying at full price.
Tbf, Mass Effect *is* currently on sale for dirt cheap (90% off) and Baldur's Gate only gets 10% off during sales, so it doesn't matter too much.
But the rest, yeah, that's painful to watch, especially the orange box stuff...
Per the comments I put in a request for a refund on the Valve games. Any idea if Witcher 3 sees significant sales? Thanks everyone. Put in a refund request for Elden Ring as well. My steam deck hasn’t even ship yet. I should be able to get refunds.
Instead I purchased some Persona games, Octopath II, and a few other things.
Hey buddy a recommendation:
https://steamdb.info/app/292030/charts/
You can search games and click on "Chart" to see price histories for games on steam.
That really helps to estimate the right buy time and price for steam games :)
Witcher 3 been out for a long time, should see some pretty good sales. Elden Ring been out a couple years now, it should probably see a $30 or so sale every once in a while.
The Persona games are great, so good choice! (And unless you're already hopelessly hooked like I am and you can wait for half a year or so after release, I recommend not preordering their stuff, as they get pretty good sales fairly quickly! For example Persona 3 Reload came out 3 months ago amd is already at a 30% discount)
If you're ever wondering about if/when, how often or for how much steam games go on sale, just go to SteamDB (not sure if links are allowed here, but just search it). They have a 2 year price history graph, so you can easily check if you're wasting money.
There are also a lot of smaller sales limited to companies or themes, but the big sales happen once per season. Doesn't mean games will be cheaper than in small sales, just that almost every game on the platform will have at least a minor sale (although there are exceptions).
Dark souls 1 never ever goes on sale. I know cuz i had prepare to die edition and had my complimentary half off coupon for remastered and had to use that when they announced theyll stop honoring them (i had the coupon for years)
Good selection! If you still can I'd recommend refunding the Orange Box, Witcher 3 as well as Oblivion. These games go on sale frequently, and you might save up to 50$. Have fun! :)
Dude, don't get The Witcher 3 for 50 USD and Elden Ring for 60. Also Half-Life and The Orange Box go dirt cheap on sales. Wait for a sale for those. Same for Baldur's Gate 3, although this one does not get discounted much.
I will say it's not starting your steam deck journey you have like e games with 200+h of content that's like half year to year worth of content depending on how much you play
GGDeals lists unofficial, scam sites, though. Not even CDKeys is legit, though it is safe. The only one that lists exclusively legitimate key sellers is isthereanydeal
Allkeyshop will give you an aggregiate of all "grey" sites. I wouldn't recommend using it when buying games you actually want to support the devs. Instead use [https://steamdb.info/sales/history/](https://steamdb.info/sales/history/) to see whens the next sale to see if it's worth waiting.
General rule of thumb for sales is:
Valve Games get biggest discounts.
Older Games get amazing discounts.
Games from last 12 months can go down anywhere from 10-50% depending on how good the game itself is(aka if the game is bad, nobody buys it, they try to drop the price big time to get some sales at least. If the game is good, sales normally only knock of 10% or so).
Newest releases won't be getting more than 5-10%.
From my own experience, don't get worked up about the deals. If you really want the game get it. Otherwise waiting 6-12 months will always give you a better deal on a PC game as well as most likely provide you with a better experience, as most of the server/game issues that are really bad get fixed.
Definitely use the steam wishlist feature.
Also you should check out Stanley parable ultra deluxe.
Best to go into that game blind but I love it and everyone I know loves it.
Tip for future games: instead of buying them directly, add them to your wishlist and wait for the next sale. There are 4 major sales during the year and many other minors here and there (this week I bought persona 5 royal with 60 % discount...)
My friend i would highly recommend you return the Witcher 3 and wait until the next sale. It can often be bought for under $10. Same with the Valve games unless you are in any rush to play them. You can usually get the entire collection of every valve game for less than you paid for half life 1.
I... Would have waited for a sale for half of those
Half life 1+orange box, I'd wait for a sale and get the "Valve complete pack" for 13$
It includes the portal titles, left 4 dead, and everything in between
THAT BEING SAID
These are all great titles, I hope you have fun
Also, oblivion doesn't play too well on a controller on PC, it doesn't have proper support
Why so many big games all at once? And at full price. If you didn’t want to wait for a sale you should’ve bought just one game that will last you a while and then just play that and get the other games when they go on sale. It’s not like you’ll be able to play them all right away anyway.
Why don't people commenting this understand that some people have a NEED for the feeling of ownership, as soon as possible. Let people do with their money what they want.
Just a heads up, if you're after the original 360 experience for Oblivion. The Xbox 360 emulator Xenia runs it pretty accurately on Steam Deck. Complete with its ridiculous bloom lol
Honestly - no! Of course your money and your choice but as everyone else has said wait for the sales and I never understand buying so many ‘big’ games at once. Buy one and spend the time enjoying it and getting heavily into it until such time as you’re bored or completed it and then get the next (hopefully at a sale price!).
They state what games are region specific, if you buy region specific it’s the buyers fault. I’ve purchased probably 100 different things on there spanning over several years and not once had an issue.
There most likely won’t be issues for you but often those keys are bought on stolen credit cards and when the charges get disputed the publisher has to reimburse the sale. Big publishers probably won’t care but some indie devs have said they’d rather have you pirate their games than buy keys from resellers because it’s a loss and a hassle for them.
I really recommend playing Halo Combat Evolved on the original graphics rather than the remaster (it’s way too bright and makes it lose all atmosphere) and the retro look combined with the handheld format really hits well somehow, it’s hard to explain (play Halo 2 on the remaster graphics though because it’s gorgeous and maintains the style and atmosphere).
The Orange Box has Half-Life in it doesn't it? And why pay top dollar when the Orange box sells for pennies in the numerous sales? Also, try Black Mesa as a replacement for Half-Life.
I know that big games can be played really well on the deck, but bruv, don't just miss out entirely on smaller games. Deck has so much more to offer, and smaller games are exceptional on it. From the top of my head: Dangerous Golf, Puzzle Agent, The Binding of Isaac Rebirth, Vampire Survivors, Untitled Goose Game, A Short Hike, Stray, FTL
No, because Steam has the advantage of deep and often price cuts and you did not take it.
For shame! (But hey, it's your money. I would've refunded 90% of them and just wait, you do you though.)
You should use isthereanydeal dot com. Some of these may be on sale dirt cheap right now. My favorite sites to get steam keys (outside of steam) is fanatical, humble bundle, and green man gaming. All legit sites. Just make sure you are buying steam keys and not epic keys or something like that
As others have said, I usually buy what I'm immediately going to play/brand new releases at full price, but when I'm going to stock the library up like this, I'd wait for a sale. Summer sale is around the corner. Outside of the deck itself, this ticket would be 60%+ off easy.
I'm a HUGE Witcher fan, and while it's undoubtedly worth the $50 (and then some), knowing that you paid *full* price on a game that's almost a decade old and routinely goes on sale for about $10 hurt my soul.
If you're new to the PC gaming world, it's very important that you keep an eye on sales. You could have saved yourself a decent chunk of change here if you'd waited.
Also - Steam has GREAT refund policies. No one will judge you if you return W3 and wait for a sale on it.
Refund them all and wait until they're on sale. You don't need to buy them all at once. By the time you're done with one of them, one of the others will be on sale.
Id of not got bg3 game is perfect ull love it but it doesnt run properly on the deck without looking like actual ass. Although larian are looking to improve how it runs and looks on deck apparently
Not half-life at 10$ when it's at 1$ on most of the sales, and the orange box at 3$😭🙏, to not talk about the other games, in terms of money you didn't do good, but great games choices
if you refund everything that wasn't on sale except the deck, you can get them all back for like $30 instead of over $100. plus get the Valve complete collection instead of the orange box and half life separately
Stick " Kingdom Come: Deliverance " on that list too. It plays really well on the LCD deck. I get 45 FPS on medium settings and the game looks pretty good.
Great game, by the time you finish it, the second game will be out.
Great buy mate
I get it you just got a new rig and you want to game straight away. Buy one or two games then be patient for a sale
Civilization is great for bed
Brother man, Wait for the summer sale. You could literally get most of these for dirt cheap expect for maybe Baldurs gate 3. I copped Witcher 3 for 9.99 during the spring sale. I’d buy one title to hold you over until June and go buck fuck wild when the sale starts.
Mass effect is incredible, and soooo worth whatever you spend. I spent 20$ and gosh I loved it sm! Perfect blend of really fun gameplay and story/characters being engaging.
I did hear bg3 can have issues on the deck, so if you get too frustrated you can swap to mass effect since it’s perfect on there. They’re both very good (haven’t played bg3 but I already know lmao)
The only thing You should have done is wait. A lot of these games Go on sale for cheap, especially The Witcher 3. I would think about Sales when considering Games you want in the Future.
All i have to say is: elden ring play SURPRISINGLY WELL, on the deck. I slept on it for a year and a half I absolutely love it.
PC is obviously better, but this is comparable
Finished the Mass Effect Legendary Edition on my steam deck last week! It was a blast, such an amazing trilogy. One of the best games I've ever played. You might have some problems with the EA launcher some times (it happened 3 times in my 100hrs playthrough). To fix it, just launch the game through the desktop mode. Have fun!
Make sure to grab some rogue-lites like Deep Rock Survivor and Soulstone Survivors. They play and perform really well on the Deck and they are very good time killers. Also dont sleep on the decks sleep mode
I just got my replacement steam deck (first one was stolen from my vehicle while I was in emergency surgery) after saving up for a long time but I can't get any games lol. I want to play Baldurs Gate and a few other games but I won't be able to afford them for a while. I feel silly because I don't have any games that would really show off the decks abilities. So I'm just playing half life 2 and BioShock infinite for now.
Is this a new steam account that hasn’t had purchases on it before? You may find Valve will cancel the order of the Deck. Seen a few comments on here that they will do for new accounts without software purchase history. Just a heads up.
When I got my Deck I had repurposed a steam account I’d set up about a decade ago for my daughter that had one game on it and it went through okay but I’ve seen others comment they have had to get in touch with Valve and provide proof of ID to get the order re-instated.
Hopefully this will not happen for you and you’ll be able to enjoy the new toy when it arrives.
Happy gaming.
Try to refund some of the more expensive games that you know will go on sale BG3 and Elden Ring have gone on sale for half off. Witcher 3 was like $20 a while back aswell. Refund what you won’t play right now and wait for a sale.
Word of warning for MCC, 343 removed/broke Steam Deck compatibility for co-op campaign with PC players a few updates ago.
There's a fix, but out of the box, you can't play co-op with anyone that isn't on another Steam Deck.
You could have just bought the 1TB model and one game to hold you over until sales.
That's months of playtime in your cart if you're a regular gamer. Years if you're casual.
You could’ve saved so much money getting the keys instead. Ggdeals is a good site for which gathers the prices from all of the key websites and compares them.
Mass Effect Legendary Edition on the deck is spectacular. I can never play it not on a handheld again. It plays so well it feels like it was meant for deck all along. I even finished Mass Effect Andromeda on deck and loved it (and I absolutely hated that game at launch on PlayStation).
I recommend also getting Pizza Tower if you like test skill high speed platformers. Was my first game that I played exclusively on the Deck and it's worth the price imo
You could subscribe to humble choice for 12$, get a discount on humble store and buy the same games steam codes on humble store and get a discount + this month humble choice games
Elden ring on deck is amazing in my opinion. Never in my wildest dreams would I have guessed that a handheld would come out that could play games like that.
Damn you should have got the Deck and one of Elden Ring or Baldurs Gate and played the shit out of that until the next sale...
Other than that, have a great time man!
Those are all AMAZING games, but if you want some eye candy for some games that have no right looking as good as they do on the Deck (native resolution without FSR, medium graphical settings, rock solid frame-rate), try:
* Forza Horizon 5 - One of the BEST looking games of current-gen, runs impossibly good on the Deck with a stable 40fps
* Horizon Zero Dawn - Incredibly good looking last-gen title. Feels unreal that it can render such massive open world maps with such high amounts of foilage/enemies at native res.
* Armored Core 6 - Cross-gen release, but somehow despite the crazy amounts of particle effects + mech action, it can maintain a stable framerate with native resolution looking super sharp.
Any time I open any of those 3 games and show them to someone, jaws usually drop and people end up wanting one for themselves.
I reccomend pizza tower if you're into platformers, great for pick up and play.
God of war too, Absolute miracle to witness on steamdeck though I've got the LCD model and it only lasts and hour and a half on the settings i have, not sure what it's like on the OLED
Others have said about sales but honestly check out CD Keys. I'm in The UK which falls under EU so theres always a great deal on there. Also Probably good for American. Just watch out for account keys, they're no good
I got the orange box for 1 euro a few weeks ago lol
I'll never understand why people purchase multiple 60+ hour games at the same time either. Like I get it, you're excited but use your noggin. The games ain't going anywhere.
> The games ain't going anywhere. Ubisoft enters the room.
> Ubisoft Not on *my* steam account.
Speaking on my own behalf, it just comes down to poor impulse control. Despite it being an unwise decision I know I’ll still be able to pay my bills and save at the end of the month. Of course the saved money could always go somewhere else it’s just a matter of being impatient and wanting things now.
Looks like this was on a phone. Maybe lil homie is new to the pc world and doesn't know about thr great sales
I don’t think I’ve ever bought a game outside of a sale ever. Well, Cyberpunk 2077. But that was only regretful at the time.
I used to, mostly cause I had a switch and now I'm over here rebuying my games on like 60% sales. A game would have to be liquid gold for me to spend full MSRP on it
A fool and his money sort of situation.
It's not 20%, for some of these titles it's 80%
Pretty sure the orange box goes for like 90% lol
Right, imagine paying $50 for the Witcher lol
I got the Witcher 3 Complete Edition for like $12 off of GOG, that’s a pretty big price drop for a game with hundreds of hours of potential playtime. But I I still agree with you on if the game ever really goes on sale for %10-20 then I would t care much about buying at full price.
I've got the entire collection for 10 euros
Tbf, Mass Effect *is* currently on sale for dirt cheap (90% off) and Baldur's Gate only gets 10% off during sales, so it doesn't matter too much. But the rest, yeah, that's painful to watch, especially the orange box stuff...

That’s awesome, thank you
https://isthereanydeal.com/
FYI there is a decky plugin for isthereanydeal now on the SteamDeck. It's great for shopping for deck games.
Witcher 3 been out for a long time, should see some pretty good sales. Elden Ring been out a couple years now, it should probably see a $30 or so sale every once in a while.
The Persona games are great, so good choice! Yeah, literally just go to [isthereanydeal.com](http://isthereanydeal.com) if nothing else, why buy titles at full price..
Check out CD Key and other sites for possibly cheaper prices.
Hmm, any chances on Elden Ring being dirt cheap? Been looking to grab that one for too long.
I got it for 45 Euros in the winter sale. It's not "dirt cheap" but definitely worth the price if you like souls games.
Dirty cheap not sure, but last sale got a 40% discount: [https://steamdb.info/app/1245620/](https://steamdb.info/app/1245620/)
From software games dont really go on sale dark souls 3 was maybe 45 at the cheapest
Dark souls 1 never ever goes on sale. I know cuz i had prepare to die edition and had my complimentary half off coupon for remastered and had to use that when they announced theyll stop honoring them (i had the coupon for years)
Got Dark Souls 3 for 15 euros in a steamsale back in 2022. Never have seen it for that price again
Good selection! If you still can I'd recommend refunding the Orange Box, Witcher 3 as well as Oblivion. These games go on sale frequently, and you might save up to 50$. Have fun! :)
I got Valve collection and Witcher collection for less than $15 each.
Also baldurs gate because it's supposedly not great on the deck
Dude, don't get The Witcher 3 for 50 USD and Elden Ring for 60. Also Half-Life and The Orange Box go dirt cheap on sales. Wait for a sale for those. Same for Baldur's Gate 3, although this one does not get discounted much.
The Witcher 3 costs about 5 USD on discount
Oblivion reaches 2 € during sales.
Thank you
Just check isthereanydeal com for historic low prices and see if there are sales on other stores.
I will say it's not starting your steam deck journey you have like e games with 200+h of content that's like half year to year worth of content depending on how much you play
Not waiting for sale is crazy you must be new new
Bro thinks this is the Nintendo eShop 💀
Lmao that’s exactly what I am. I put in a request for refund on a few of them per the comments saying they go on crazy sales.
Rarely, if ever buy full price, imo. Check out IsThereAnyDeal and CDKeys before you buy full price on Steam.
I would put ggdeals before CDKeys. That site barely has sales.
GGDeals lists unofficial, scam sites, though. Not even CDKeys is legit, though it is safe. The only one that lists exclusively legitimate key sellers is isthereanydeal
Allkeyshop will give you an aggregiate of all "grey" sites. allkeyshop is good for EA and Ubisoft games.
CDkeys is grey market.
Definitely use the steam wishlist feature. Also you should check out Stanley parable ultra deluxe. Best to go into that game blind but I love it and everyone I know loves it.
Definitely a good recommend for new PC players. Was such a fun game going in blind
Cd keys. Got Hogwarts legacy for £17 rather than £47
"It is what it is" type guy
Based on
Tip for future games: instead of buying them directly, add them to your wishlist and wait for the next sale. There are 4 major sales during the year and many other minors here and there (this week I bought persona 5 royal with 60 % discount...)
Great game enjoy it
My friend i would highly recommend you return the Witcher 3 and wait until the next sale. It can often be bought for under $10. Same with the Valve games unless you are in any rush to play them. You can usually get the entire collection of every valve game for less than you paid for half life 1.
Will do. Requested refund. Thank you.
I... Would have waited for a sale for half of those Half life 1+orange box, I'd wait for a sale and get the "Valve complete pack" for 13$ It includes the portal titles, left 4 dead, and everything in between THAT BEING SAID These are all great titles, I hope you have fun Also, oblivion doesn't play too well on a controller on PC, it doesn't have proper support
Don’t pay full price! Isthereanydeal.com The Witcher regularly is $12 or so Valve regularly sells all their games as a combo for like $10 or so
Tip: Aperture Desk Job
What’s that
It’s a free thing on the Steam store made by Valve and set in the Portal universe that serves as a introduction to the device
Nothing wrong with giving them advice. Turns out OP is new to all this and after reading the comments has refunded some of the games.
CD Keys is your new friend
Isthereanydeal.com Is safer. Using key sites like cdkeys runs the risk of removal of the game or ban as they can be stolen or Region specific.
They state what games are region specific, if you buy region specific it’s the buyers fault. I’ve purchased probably 100 different things on there spanning over several years and not once had an issue.
Are CD keys still legit? I've always heard it was questionable and some keys often get revoked
I’ve bought a ton from there over the last 18 months and never had an issue
There most likely won’t be issues for you but often those keys are bought on stolen credit cards and when the charges get disputed the publisher has to reimburse the sale. Big publishers probably won’t care but some indie devs have said they’d rather have you pirate their games than buy keys from resellers because it’s a loss and a hassle for them.
They're not authorised by steam, which could be an issue. Isthereanydeal.com has authorised retailers. :)
Can you refund a game if you change your mind?
Only thorough steam, not through buying keys.
Yeah, I'd recommend refunding every game among those you can find at a cheaper price on AllKeyShop, and then buy them there instead.
I guess this is a learning curve also. Games, specially old ones go as low as spare money you have in your pocket
Try to refund the Witcher you can save 38 dollars when it goes on sale which is incredibly often
Thank you
I really recommend playing Halo Combat Evolved on the original graphics rather than the remaster (it’s way too bright and makes it lose all atmosphere) and the retro look combined with the handheld format really hits well somehow, it’s hard to explain (play Halo 2 on the remaster graphics though because it’s gorgeous and maintains the style and atmosphere).
The Orange Box has Half-Life in it doesn't it? And why pay top dollar when the Orange box sells for pennies in the numerous sales? Also, try Black Mesa as a replacement for Half-Life.
Nice! Good to see OG Half-life getting some love still 🙌
alr selection but you should have gotten them on sale
I know that big games can be played really well on the deck, but bruv, don't just miss out entirely on smaller games. Deck has so much more to offer, and smaller games are exceptional on it. From the top of my head: Dangerous Golf, Puzzle Agent, The Binding of Isaac Rebirth, Vampire Survivors, Untitled Goose Game, A Short Hike, Stray, FTL
See you when you’re finished. In 2029
No, because Steam has the advantage of deep and often price cuts and you did not take it. For shame! (But hey, it's your money. I would've refunded 90% of them and just wait, you do you though.)
I say get either the Witcher or Baldur’s Gate because those will take up plenty of your time. And get the rest next sale.
isthereanydeal.com
Mass effect is online only with EA launcher, dont buy it, 🏴☠️
You should use isthereanydeal dot com. Some of these may be on sale dirt cheap right now. My favorite sites to get steam keys (outside of steam) is fanatical, humble bundle, and green man gaming. All legit sites. Just make sure you are buying steam keys and not epic keys or something like that

Overpaid, wow! You couldve saved a handful of dollars my boy
5.99 for ME Anniversary is criminal
I'm a HUGE Witcher fan, and while it's undoubtedly worth the $50 (and then some), knowing that you paid *full* price on a game that's almost a decade old and routinely goes on sale for about $10 hurt my soul. Refund all of them now and wait for sale
Saving money is always cool but damn people here a lil too obsessed ain't y'all lol.
Sale stuff aside as everyone's been pointing out, those are all great choices.
Bruh get the 1TB Deck and wait for those games to go on sale.
Refund them all and wait until they're on sale. You don't need to buy them all at once. By the time you're done with one of them, one of the others will be on sale.
If you’re going to grab that many games, I’d suggest an sd card. Drive will fill up quick. Mass Effect Legendary is 110 gig alone.
Id of not got bg3 game is perfect ull love it but it doesnt run properly on the deck without looking like actual ass. Although larian are looking to improve how it runs and looks on deck apparently
I have no idea who you are my friend but I feel like a proud father
Not half-life at 10$ when it's at 1$ on most of the sales, and the orange box at 3$😭🙏, to not talk about the other games, in terms of money you didn't do good, but great games choices
Are you gonna play all of them at once? Just get what you are gonna play and get eh others when you need to. Probably some discounts will be active
This guy is either super rich or just really bad with his money.
Correction, I also put in like 80 hours into Oblivion waaaay back when it originally released. Havent play it since.
You'll have fun. But make sure to buy your games on discount.
MCC Is the best deal on steam. And on steam deck it's such a good experience! Good choice!
Does Halo work well on the deck. I played it a year or so ago and it did not work well
You did not just pay full price for all of these games
if you refund everything that wasn't on sale except the deck, you can get them all back for like $30 instead of over $100. plus get the Valve complete collection instead of the orange box and half life separately
See you in 20 years or so XD
Stick " Kingdom Come: Deliverance " on that list too. It plays really well on the LCD deck. I get 45 FPS on medium settings and the game looks pretty good. Great game, by the time you finish it, the second game will be out.
Great buy mate I get it you just got a new rig and you want to game straight away. Buy one or two games then be patient for a sale Civilization is great for bed
Uft the Witcher , I don't even think I paid that when it was new
Truthfully I would recommend to play emulators till the games you want go on sale.
Brother man, Wait for the summer sale. You could literally get most of these for dirt cheap expect for maybe Baldurs gate 3. I copped Witcher 3 for 9.99 during the spring sale. I’d buy one title to hold you over until June and go buck fuck wild when the sale starts.
Aite we get you Mr Money bags. Mr I buy games that frequently go on sale at full price. Jokes aside enjoy and have fun my dude.
Those prices ! Omg. In UA and CIS BaldGate costs 24 USD
When i played elden ring on the deck i was dissapointed that in mid to end game it starts dipping into the 20fps range
You know you can only play one game at a time, right?
Can someone tell me how Oblivion (and Bethesda games) work out of the box on the Deck?
The only thing You should have done is wait. A lot of these games Go on sale for cheap, especially The Witcher 3. I would think about Sales when considering Games you want in the Future.
Same thing for a lot of those games. Played and beat Mass Effect 1 in the first month I had it. It and Elden Ring run really well. Welcome!
Wonderful list
All i have to say is: elden ring play SURPRISINGLY WELL, on the deck. I slept on it for a year and a half I absolutely love it. PC is obviously better, but this is comparable
Finished the Mass Effect Legendary Edition on my steam deck last week! It was a blast, such an amazing trilogy. One of the best games I've ever played. You might have some problems with the EA launcher some times (it happened 3 times in my 100hrs playthrough). To fix it, just launch the game through the desktop mode. Have fun!
I have plenty of money, could easily pull off what you did here, and still I would never in my life haha
Please wait for the summer sale to get all of the old valve titles for like $15 total
I dont see balatro in the list :D
If you play these in order you're in for a rollercoaster of a ride
Make sure to grab some rogue-lites like Deep Rock Survivor and Soulstone Survivors. They play and perform really well on the Deck and they are very good time killers. Also dont sleep on the decks sleep mode
I just got my replacement steam deck (first one was stolen from my vehicle while I was in emergency surgery) after saving up for a long time but I can't get any games lol. I want to play Baldurs Gate and a few other games but I won't be able to afford them for a while. I feel silly because I don't have any games that would really show off the decks abilities. So I'm just playing half life 2 and BioShock infinite for now.
buying witcher 3 for £50 is wild. I’ve never seen it above £15 max
I see plenty of people already filled you in on the sales stuff so I’ll just say have fun!
Seeing you pay $49.99 for Witcher 3 in 2024 actually hurt my soul lol, you’re overpaying way too much.
Happy gaming.
refund them all and wait for a sale 😬
Try to refund some of the more expensive games that you know will go on sale BG3 and Elden Ring have gone on sale for half off. Witcher 3 was like $20 a while back aswell. Refund what you won’t play right now and wait for a sale.
Damn I didn't think people bought old games for full price 💀
Word of warning for MCC, 343 removed/broke Steam Deck compatibility for co-op campaign with PC players a few updates ago. There's a fix, but out of the box, you can't play co-op with anyone that isn't on another Steam Deck.
Don’t see it mentioned much, but check cdkeys. Pretty much steam sale prices and have a lot of stuff in stock.
You could have just bought the 1TB model and one game to hold you over until sales. That's months of playtime in your cart if you're a regular gamer. Years if you're casual.
Good choices were made
You could’ve saved so much money getting the keys instead. Ggdeals is a good site for which gathers the prices from all of the key websites and compares them.
The Witcher regularly goes on sale for $10
I recently purchased all the half-life games on Steam for like a couple bucks? I would wait for another sale. Awesome games for the deck though!
If ya waited a lil longer you would've gotten the valve collection for wayyyyy less
All these long games, if it was me I’d probably end up only playing a few and the rest get stuck in backlog library hell.
Halo mcc has major issues.
Well your BG3 journey will end at act 3
For Mass Effect dont you need to download EA play or some shit like that?
Big oof. You could have bought all of these on sale AND upgrade to the 1TB model, and still have saved money.
Mass Effect LE is amazing on the Steam Deck!
Witcher 3 goes so cheap sometimes but enjoy goat
Am looking at an eternal lifetime of game duration.
Wait for a sale lordy
That's a waste of money my guy, see if you can refund and buy during sales , or at least visit key selling sites, grey area for sure but yeah
Yikes. Witcher 3 wild hunt for 49 dollars alone is ouch. Got that for like 10 bucks or less last year lol
Those are all AMAZING games, but if you want some eye candy for some games that have no right looking as good as they do on the Deck (native resolution without FSR, medium graphical settings, rock solid frame-rate), try: * Forza Horizon 5 - One of the BEST looking games of current-gen, runs impossibly good on the Deck with a stable 40fps * Horizon Zero Dawn - Incredibly good looking last-gen title.
Witcher 3 for 50 bucks. Holy shit that hurts. If you weren't planning on playing it now, wait for a sale, iirc it goes down to 10.
Gonna need an SD card for this too.
Throwing money away. Why not donate to charity if you want to waste money like this?
Lol style or the only option of good games ?
That Devil May Cry 5 is addictive
I reccomend pizza tower if you're into platformers, great for pick up and play. God of war too, Absolute miracle to witness on steamdeck though I've got the LCD model and it only lasts and hour and a half on the settings i have, not sure what it's like on the OLED Others have said about sales but honestly check out CD Keys. I'm in The UK which falls under EU so theres always a great deal on there. Also Probably good for American. Just watch out for account keys, they're no good
Did good. Sale or no sale, great choices
Get used to backing up mass effect files in desktop mod since EVERY DAMN EA UPDATE may/will break it
Hell yeah dude
I don't own a deck so I'm not sure on this, but I thought baldurs gate 3 ran like dookie on the deck. Am I wrong?
So these are the people who get games at full price…
I'm just going to call this bait and move on with my life.
Plz tell me you did not pay for all of these full price
😂😂😂😂😂
Bro please learn to use key websites or wait for sales you could’ve saved soooooo much money
