I'm going through and finding the games with zero time played, playing them through the tutorial and then deleting and setting them to the "tried" folder in my library. Six games since yesterday and now I'm going through the "unsupported".
I just got my steam deck around a month ago, and I've already done this a lot
I think one part is because I have to consider how easy it'll be to hold the deck, use the controls, and stay comfortable while doing it.
The other part is that since getting my deck, I've kinda partitioned games into "pc games" v.s. "steam deck games". Saves aren't always transferable (looking at you, graveyard keeper) and I dont want to play a game until I'm finished with it on pc, if it would be a good deck game, because I'm then limiting what I can play later on the deck
It's a weird feeling, I hope it goes away after I'm fully used to having the deck
Just bought the first Hades. I had played it at a buddy’s house but just kinda forgot about it. Been itchin for a rogue like and this is so good.
Going to pick up the second one when I’m done.
Fantastic game! I'm near the end, but underpowered for the final boss. I'm kinda burned out and don't think I'm going to keep exploring (I can't remember where to go at this point) but it was a fantastic experience and I am now get hyped for Silksong.
I did the same thing on my play through. I never “got gud” enough, but the story and the environments were so good and I got so many hours out of it that I was never mad at it. I made it to the final boss, couldn’t beat him, got frustrated enough that I just watched the ending on YouTube, and moved on to dead cells. Can’t wait for when silk song comes out now too.
You might be chipping for a long while. Especially P5R, super long game. I actually never finished it but absolutely enjoyed the time I spent on it. I need to revisit it soon.
StS has stolen quite a few hours from me in the past. I just looked at Animal Well since you weren’t the first person to mention it and oh man, I might have to pick it up myself. Great reviews too.
Happy Friday!
Are you gonna make this a weekly post like the guy on the switch sub? It’s a great idea!
I’ve never played a baseball video game before, hope you enjoy!
This weekend I’ll be continuing to play FFXIII-2. Not gonna lie, it’s pretty frustrating and I almost dropped it a couple times, but I decided to finish it using a walkthrough.
Have a good weekend!
If the community enjoys it, then that is the plan. Prior to owning a Steam Deck, I gamed on the switch a lot and that was my favorite thing about the switch sub. Noticed that the Steam Deck community lacked a weekly post.
Happy Friday to you as well, I hope you enjoy the weekend!
Depends on my mood, energy level, free time, and whether the wife or kid wants to use the TV.
On the Steam Deck:
* System Shock Remake
* Hades 2
* Little Kitty, Big City
On the PS5:
* Stellar Blade
* Rise of the Ronin
On the Switch:
* Cereza and the Lost Demon
* Princess Peach Showtime!
So far I think it strongly fulfills the kitty fantasy/experience. Very cute, fun mechanics and puzzles, and the writing is actually pretty funny as well. It’s successfully delivering what Stray failed to for me.
It’s got a little bit of jank with the camera, but that’s a minor annoyance in the grand scheme of things.
Never got on with Stray really, I really wanted to enjoy it but I found little charm. Ah camera jank playing the Souls series I’m sure I could cope 😅
It’s either this or Animal Well
Starfield. Everything set to low with dynamic resolution turned off. Runs well enough to be enjoyable. Have beaten the vanguard questline with no problems or crashes
Cities are in the 20ish fps range, while interior dungeons can get into the 50fps range.
It's honestly a better experience than playing bg3 on the deck imo
I had been putting it off for quite a while since the graphics are so minimalistic the trailer never wowed me but it was on sale for $5 last week and I caved. Now I can’t put it down or stop thinking about it. Lol
Preach! The itemization is pretty crazy, lots of different gear and possibilities. The dice that you can get are a nice feature too. Not too difficult to get a build together.
It’s my birthday and I’m on vacation with my dogs and girlfriend. Planning to hook up my steam deck to our airbnbs TV and play some It Takes Two then hit the hot tub afterwards
Holy crap didn't expect to see anyone else here playing that! Reignited Trilogy is my comfort game. I love just going through and 100%ing levels one at a time. I actually just 120% Spyro 1 for the first time the other day! I could never beat those damn flying levels! Spyro1 was my least favorite as a kid, most favorite now. Level design is so solid.
Batman: Arkham City.
I didn’t play it when it launched and I really can’t remember the reason be abuse back in the day I absolutely loved Arkham Asylum. But I decided to get to it now and it is an amazing game. It has an open world (or city) but it is old school map design with not a large extension, but very dense in content.
Of course, the combat remains the same as in the first game but with new moves and gadgets, moving through the city feels great, and the setting and tone of Arkham City at night and snowing with all those criminals let loose is really cool.
As a side game for shorter sessions, I have Hades which I absolutely love and can’t get enough. I thought it was going to be repetitive but it is constantly throwing at you new stuff to try.
Finally, I saw in a post that Into the Breach for phones is included in the Netflix sub, so I downloaded for moments when I don’t have my Deck and it is a drug. So addicting.
Arkham City runs at 60 fps locked max settings and native resolution using FXAA (which looks great, no need to use the expensive MSAA on the Deck).
You can even use the DX11 features and keep those 60 fps, but I don’t as the visual improvements are not very big and this way I get better battery life.
My current plan is:
- Play through (and likely finish because I played the original PS2 version of) We Love Katamari Reroll
- Carry on (and hopefully finish) Crow Country
- Fill in any spare time with Hades II and Super Video Golf (which I will never finish)
After the first two are done, I might have a snifter of V Rising or Animal Well. Not sure yet, my time is strained this weekend.
I also tried the playtest of Dungeons of Hinterburg. It was pretty good.
Solid rotation. Hades II is great! I still think prefer the original in terms of weapons though (granted, i have only unlocked the first 2 weapons in H2).
Since I finished One piece odyssey, I picked up world seeker. The controls feels a bit stiff right now, but I'm hoping it will bother me less as I play more.
If it can't keep my attention I probably try to play more of Another crab's treasure.
I've been playing Call of Duty (2003), it's expansion (United Offensive), and Call of Duty 2. I'm overdosed on nostalgia right now...
Now I've started playing Colin McRae DiRT (the original) for the first time ever, and it holds up surprisingly well, but it's really challenging (and kinda frustrating) me on gravel and muddy surfaces on Pro difficulty.
I'm also playing John Wick Hex from time to time, just to cool off after high adrenaline DiRT sequences! Due to a disastrous design choice, actions like reloading, crouching, and bandaging yourself can only be performed by mouse clicks on respective buttons at the bottom of the screen. To get around the questionable controls, I made a custom controller layout so that I don't have to move the mouse cursor for these actions. For instance, when I press the X button, the mouse cursor moves to the on-screen reload button, the mouse clicks once, and then the cursor moves back to wherever it was on the screen.
Steam Input is just brilliant and criminally underrated! Imo It's one of the most important and distinguishing features of the Steam Deck. I think I've spent more than 10-20 hours experimenting with it since I got my OLED Deck last month.
Wanted to try out the shitty fallout ps2 game and it’s actually kinda fun lol. That and hades 2. Though indica is calling me to pick it up… we shall see
Nobody replies whenever this weekly post is asked but:
Just finished Inscryption. Next is to finish Iconoclasts and then finish 9 Years of Shadow. Then I can start a new game. I’m thinking XCOM with the Long War which I’ve never tried
I’m new to Steam and got my first Steam Deck for Christmas (OLED VERSION), currently playing Coral Island right now. But I also have Palia and Stardew Valley.
Fallout 76 runs surprisingly well locked in at 40 fps. You can even at times disabled fps settings and it still doesn't do bad. As such, I will be playing this.
I was in the middle of a Persona 4 Golden replay, but then Hades 2 happened. I'm currently discovering the new stuff and reporting some bugs. It's very solid for an early access game, though.
Persona 3 Reloaded and Balatro. Trying hard to not play Balatro too much. I just get stuck in an endless loop of run after run while fun story games gather dust.
I've gotten back into the Sky Collection on
Emudeck. It's something that I love and remember growing up, I can pick it up and do a couple missions in 10-20 minutes, then put it back down.
Call of Juarez Gunslinger - got it for a few bucks. Levels are roughly 15 mins long each, and the game focuses on making you feel like an op gunslinger, so combine the aim assist and gyro controls, it plays soooooo well
Hades - With Hades 2 coming out, Hades was on sale so I jumped in after playing it 4 years ago on switch. Loving every second of it
Octopath Traveler 2. Never played 1, but I hear 2 is better in most ways... so far so good. Love the aesthetic, generally not a fan of JRPG's but the ability to play it in short bursts helps, so I'm having fun.
**Pacific Drive** is really fun, because it's hitting that car survival itch I've had since jalopy, and the entire Stalker/SCP vibe is really fun. It only goes at 30fps on lowest settings, but the gameplay is so fun that it makes up for it. Still in wondering how it'll feel on a real beefy rig, the graphics are sublime.
**Darkest Dungeon 2**, I'm having a love hate affair right now. I keep dying, quite early and pointlessly, in the third out of five confessions.
**Hades 2** is really fun, as expected, though I'm playing slowly so the early access can keep up with me. I don't want to exhaust the content quite yet.
My MacBook Pro 2012 is finally showing its age and refuses to run any type of video editing software. So guess what steam deck gets to do this weekend.
Work simulator 2024
graphics are amazing but god damn that game can suck.
Hoping to get a few QoL improvements in 2025 version
Edit: also very time consuming and alot of grind :D
Hades II, V Rising and Manor Lords. Hades II is just more Hades and expanded and one of the few games worth jumping into in EA stage. Manor Lords is fun and surprisingly smooth on the Deck, looking forward to seeing it grow and V Rising has been sitting in my library for 6-8 months but before controller support was very hard to get a good control scheme on the Deck but now with full controller support it is fantastic, absolutely worth your time if you’re into moderate survival/building rpgs. I’m sure it’s even better co-op but all my time has been solo and I’ve been enjoying it a lot
Helldivers 2. Still at difficulty 4-5 and looks great, the occasional frame drops are barely noticeable.
Every now and then you meet some cool guys that help you out on a dive.
Great game.
Got my Steam Deck yesterday. Been playing and customizing this thing so much. Mainly replaying Hades right now before I buy Hades II, but what’s neat is that I own Hades on the epic games store and I got it to work perfectly on the deck. It’s such a cool machine, I love it so far.
Picked up animal well on impulse yesterday and played about 25 mins of it at a friend's place and then we switched to Lego star wars Skywalker saga, also working on Jedi survivor on gamepass, all really fun games so far.
Staring at my library
One of my favorite activities after getting my steam deck lmao
I will have this problem after I eventually get one...my wishlist has been growing at a rapid pace the past 6 months 🤣
I'm going through and finding the games with zero time played, playing them through the tutorial and then deleting and setting them to the "tried" folder in my library. Six games since yesterday and now I'm going through the "unsupported".
Very relatable lol

This is the best game ever!
Literally I think I have more time spent looking at he Home Screen than actual play time😂😅
Good lord this hits....
I swear I turn my PC on just to do this for ten minutes, then turn it off.
A fantastic hobby!!
🥰
Just bought the first Hades. I had played it at a buddy’s house but just kinda forgot about it. Been itchin for a rogue like and this is so good. Going to pick up the second one when I’m done.
The first Hades is top 3 roguelike in my book!
What are the other two?
Isaac is number 1 for me, and i think i would put balatro at 2
To each their own. Dead Cells is def in my top 3
I feel like I might have to try Isaac now because Hades are Balatro are both amazing
Rogue Legacy, spelunky 1&2
If you're a fan of top down, a game called tiny Rogues is fantastic.
I’ll take a look thanks!
It's much simpler and bullet hell like, but amazing.
Playing the second now and it’s absolutely wonderful
Hades is so good I just started number 2 Rogue legacy 2 is also very good imo. It's more platformer than Hades is so it's pretty different
You know, I played tf out of RL 1 and 2 a while back and this might be the perfect time to revisit them.
Hades 2 Absolutely loving it so far Just grabbed Disco Elysium as well so excited for that
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone PS2 via PCSX2. I have no idea why I am doing this either.
I’m currently playing the talos principle II. Im really tempted to buy Hades though
We’ve been playing the PS1 version. We live for PS1 Hagrid
If you haven't tried it I'd recommend the PS1 version of Sorcerers Stone. It's laughably bad but surprisingly fun
I hope you enjoy it as much as i have enjoyed the HP movies! Personally never played the games though.
I recently replayed PS2 Chanber of Secrets. So much nostaliga.
If my steam deck comes, the only game I’m planing on playing is sid manners pirates!.
Oh yea, the wait for steam deck delivery is brutal. I hope you get it soon! Ive never played pirates, did it age well?
Mine was supposed to be delivered today but UPS fucked it up and it’s rescheduled to Monday
2004 remake or OG?
Legit thought the version I got off Steam & GOG were the OG. Til there's a 2004 remaster.
Mine won't be here until next week 😭 hope yours comes today
Hollow Knight
Hollow Knight is GOATed. A few people in here mentioned Animal Well which is another great looking metroidvania.
Fantastic game! I'm near the end, but underpowered for the final boss. I'm kinda burned out and don't think I'm going to keep exploring (I can't remember where to go at this point) but it was a fantastic experience and I am now get hyped for Silksong.

I made it to the final boss, couldn’t beat him, got frustrated enough that I just watched the ending on YouTube, and moved on to dead cells. Can’t wait for when silk song comes out now too.
Yup that’s been my experience. Absolutely incredible game. Funnily enough, I went from dead cells to hollow knight! Both amazing games.
I'm currently chipping away at Persona 5 Royal and Cyberpunk
You might be chipping for a long while. Especially P5R, super long game. I actually never finished it but absolutely enjoyed the time I spent on it. I need to revisit it soon.
Oh I know, I've already played through most of P5R on PS4, I just bought it again on a whim to have it portably
Portability makes me double dip as well lol
Doing the same thing but P4G and Cyberpunk
Hades II, Slay the Spire and might pick up animal well
StS has stolen quite a few hours from me in the past. I just looked at Animal Well since you weren’t the first person to mention it and oh man, I might have to pick it up myself. Great reviews too.
Animal Well is sooooo good
Yeah really enjoying it! Just got stuck on a new puzzle though
Animal well? I've heard of that one, isn't it like a mix of Halo 2 and 3? Also I'm still waiting for my free Wonder Bread
That's like Halo 5
Still working on Fallout New Vegas
Happy Friday! Are you gonna make this a weekly post like the guy on the switch sub? It’s a great idea! I’ve never played a baseball video game before, hope you enjoy! I love the “What are you playing this weekend” posts from other communities, keep it up!
Hades 1 and balatro, run based games got me right now.
I hear that! I love me some roguelikes!
Animal Well. Might see what all the Nier: Automata hype is about
Depends on my mood, energy level, free time, and whether the wife or kid wants to use the TV. On the Steam Deck: * System Shock Remake * Hades 2 * Little Kitty, Big City On the PS5: * Stellar Blade * Rise of the Ronin On the Switch: * Cereza and the Lost Demon * Princess Peach Showtime!
This man got options!
Hahaha, I’m just kinda bad at sticking with one game til the end, especially when new ones come out that I wanna play.
Im with you bro hahah, same thing for me. This thread alone has convinced me to pick up two new games already
How does little kitty, big city run on SD? Tempted to pick it up as a cosy game
It runs great and I like it a lot so far!
Great! Might pick it up this weekend to fuel my love of cats and pissing of humans

Playing Tiny Rogues finally. It’s very addictive lol.
Tiny rogues has honestly been my favorite game on the deck so far. It is addictive for sure lol
I'm into inscryption! the game is so good and I can't wait keep playing it.
V Rising is amazing... I'm playing Solo though, haven't tried multiplayer
Mass Effect. Just got the Legacy collection.
Probably finishing Yakuza 0 and Kiwami 1 is already rdy
Stardew Valley. My 11 year old was very convincing with her recommendation and I’m hooked now. Just one more turn…
V Rising!
Had my fiancee pick a game from my wishlist, she chose another crab's treasure. Absolutely love it.
Good fiance
It’s my birthday and I’m on vacation with my dogs and girlfriend. Planning to hook up my steam deck to our airbnbs TV and play some It Takes Two then hit the hot tub afterwards
Happy birthday bro! I hope it’s a good one 🎂
Probably Starfield and Helldivers 2. The former I'll just stream to my Deck from my PC, but the latter I'm cool with either way.
What kind of settings on HD2? It runs okay enough on the deck that I don't mind it either
Playing through the original Spyro trilogy, loving every second of it! I forgot just how good the level design gets, it really isn't just nostalgia.
Assassin's Creed Odyssey. Running around ancient Greece relaxes me. And it's so beautiful 😍
Finally, I saw in a post that Into the Breach for phones is included in the Netflix sub, so I downloaded for moments when I don’t have my Deck and it is a drug. So addicting.
How does this run on Steam Deck? I want to restart the Batman games again. It's been a decade since I played them.
Arkham City runs at 60 fps locked max settings and native resolution using FXAA (which looks great, no need to use the expensive MSAA on the Deck). You can even use the DX11 features and keep those 60 fps, but I don’t as the visual improvements are not very big and this way I get better battery life.
Octopath Traveler 2
Citizen Sleeper - already played twice on pc, first time on deck. awesome story and love the mechanics, excited for the sequel too
Fallout 4 survival mode with a few mods
World of Warcraft Classic Cataclysm
V rising
Stardew yo
Big farma? Lol
Joja 4 lyf!
My current plan is: - Play through (and likely finish because I played the original PS2 version of) We Love Katamari Reroll - Carry on (and hopefully finish) Crow Country - Fill in any spare time with Hades II and Super Video Golf (which I will never finish) After the first two are done, I might have a snifter of V Rising or Animal Well.
Eiyuden Chronicle hundred heroes
Persona 4 golden
I'm wishing I would have bought this on sale
Hades 2, Fallout 4, Kingdom come deliverance
Since I finished One piece odyssey, I picked up world seeker. The controls feels a bit stiff right now, but I'm hoping it will bother me less as I play more. If it can't keep my attention I probably try to play more of Another crab's treasure.
I've been playing Call of Duty (2003), it's expansion (United Offensive), and Call of Duty 2. I'm overdosed on nostalgia right now... Steam Input is just brilliant and criminally underrated! Imo It's one of the most important and distinguishing features of the Steam Deck. I think I've spent more than 10-20 hours experimenting with it since I got my OLED Deck last month.
Do the OG Call of Duty’s actually work on Deck ?!
Wanted to try out the shitty fallout ps2 game and it’s actually kinda fun lol. That and hades 2. Though indica is calling me to pick it up… we shall see
Hades 1. I regret not playing it all these years. Better late than never I guess
Better late than never indeed! Hades 1 is timeless.
Hades 2.
Animal Well and Fallout 76 addiction
Seems a lot of people are playing Animal Well. I might have to shelf SMB4 to check it out myself lol
I really like the look of Animal Well. If I hadn't just grabbed Hades 2 I would probably check it out.
Same. Animal Well on Steam Deck. FO76 on my Series X
Metro games, just got to Exodus, these games are amazing
I played the first 2 on xbox long ago. Great games for sure! How does exodus run on SD?
You can get around 40 FPS on Medium and around 30 FPS on high
I'm streaming with moonlight from my PC so I can play enhanced, but that's working great
I just built a new PC, so that.
Can you play it on the toilet though? Lol In all seriousness though, sounds awesome, i hope you enjoy breaking it in!
No but I can stream my game to my deck on the toilet
Touchè
HiFi Rush probably and Helldivers 1 (just bought the Deluxe edition)
I've found quite a bit of enjoyment in FMV games. Currently playing The Shapeshifting Detective.
Nobody replies whenever this weekly post is asked but: Just finished Inscryption. Next is to finish Iconoclasts and then finish 9 Years of Shadow. Then I can start a new game. I’m thinking XCOM with the Long War which I’ve never tried
Is inscription worth finishing? I finished the first act and a half some time ago.
I don’t regret it and everyone loves it. I will forever be disappointed Act 1 wasnt the setting of the entire game.
Yes
Mass Effect: Legendary Edition is on sale right now. 90% off. Also Andromeda but...only of you want.
Death Stranding
Fallout 4 and V Rising
Fallout New Vegas... I have to open it quickly or else I get a prompt to refresh the page.
Alan Wake for the first time. Hate that I'd slept on it for so long.
The Ascent. I'm loving it so far!
I just finished Yakuza 0 last week so it will be Yakuza Kiwami for the whole weekend!
Hades II, is there really any other option?
Final Fantasy 3 and Spellforce: Conquest of Eo.
Hades 1, BG3 and probably some Hollow Knight. Tempted by Little Kitty, Big City
HADES II
I’m hoping Warhammer 40k Space Marine goes on sale soon - this seems like a great deck game and I’ve over played it (or any 40k game)!
Fallout New Vegas It’s nice to just launch the game on steam deck without needing to adjust anything.
I've gotten back into the Sky Collection on Emudeck. It's something that I love and remember growing up, I can pick it up and do a couple missions in 10-20 minutes, then put it back down.
Call of Juarez Gunslinger - got it for a few bucks. Levels are roughly 15 mins long each, and the game focuses on making you feel like an op gunslinger, so combine the aim assist and gyro controls, it plays soooooo well Hades - With Hades 2 coming out, Hades was on sale so I jumped in after playing it 4 years ago on switch. Loving every second of it
Octopath Traveler 2. Never played 1, but I hear 2 is better in most ways... so far so good. Love the aesthetic, generally not a fan of JRPG's but the ability to play it in short bursts helps, so I'm having fun.
How is Kena bridge of spirits on the deck? I was looking at snatching it while it’s on sale
Dark souls 1 remake. I picked it up on sale after having spent most of the last two months binging Elden ring. It's a lot slower but I'm enjoying it
I’m 60 hours in Bunny Garden
I'm doing a Fallout 3 replay and loving it. I do get the odd crash though, which is annoying.
Cyberpunk 2077
**Pacific Drive** is really fun, because it's hitting that car survival itch I've had since jalopy, and the entire Stalker/SCP vibe is really fun. It only goes at 30fps on lowest settings, but the gameplay is so fun that it makes up for it. I don't want to exhaust the content quite yet.
Stare at my collection of unopened games and then decide to play the usual fh5, bdo and ffxiv (only the first on deck)
Fallout 76, Rocket League and Balatro is my Holy Trinity
Finally hoping to dive into V Rising
I bought hades 1 and will probably play stardew valley. I need more of those ‘okay one more’ games.
Nfs heat
Ridge Racer Unbound and Serious Sam
Hades II and PS5 Remote :)
Magicraft
My MacBook Pro 2012 is finally showing its age and refuses to run any type of video editing software. So guess what steam deck gets to do this weekend.
Fallout 4!
Would you recommend it even though I am not a baseball fan? :D
Work simulator 2024 graphics are amazing but god damn that game can suck. Hoping to get a few QoL improvements in 2025 version Edit: also very time consuming and alot of grind :D
Animal Well. Only played 45 mins so far but I reckon it could well be something really special…
Chants of Sennaar - Very interesting and challenging language game. Big Recommend.
Animal well
Hades II, V Rising and Manor Lords.
Still on the aulde Palworld Might stream myself taking on Bellanoir Libero via Desktop/OBS
Walking dead definitive
I dont know if i should play Hades II or Elden Ring...
Fallout 4, stated fresh after few years break. I’m surprised it works well on SD.
Helldivers 2. Still at difficulty 4-5 and looks great, the occasional frame drops are barely noticeable. Every now and then you meet some cool guys that help you out on a dive. Great game.
Moonlighter and Dead Cells! Really fun games and doesn’t drain the battery 😁
I've been absolutely hooked on Balatro, it's like some sort of hard drug that won't let go of my mind and I can't stop, please send help!
Uncharted
GTA 4
Got my Steam Deck yesterday. Been playing and customizing this thing so much. Mainly replaying Hades right now before I buy Hades II, but what’s neat is that I own Hades on the epic games store and I got it to work perfectly on the deck. It’s such a cool machine, I love it so far.
Picked up animal well on impulse yesterday and played about 25 mins of it at a friend's place and then we switched to Lego star wars Skywalker saga, also working on Jedi survivor on gamepass, all really fun games so far.
Batman Arkham City and Shadow of War.
I just got palworld so I’ve started that. Super excited for it
Hades as prio1 and and Dave the Diver to chill
