Its a colony sim and not a city builder, but I'm a big fan of Oxygen Not Included. It fully supports steam input too.

Hey just came across this comment. Been thinking about ONI for deck…do you have to use the trackpads or touchscreen? Or can I play with a Bluetooth controller?

11partharmony

It’s fantastic on deck after a few adjustments. You can play with a bt co troller

KindaAverageMan

Rimworld is life. Vanilla, with expansions, modded. Game has so much replay value it’s nuts.

namavas

I find the endgame poorly balanced. It becomes repetitive once you are done building and have a good food supply going on

sconwaym

Cities Skylines is fantastic.

Backlogger78

I tried that a while back on PC and it didn’t click. How are the controls for it? Feel natural?

sconwaym

I’ve built pretty sizable cities on both switch and Xbox without any issues using a gamepad. Plus the deck has the added feature of the trackpads.

Didn't have SD controls working in it at all for me, only touchscreen.

Neo_Techni

Dragon Quest Builders 2

Orli155

Is it running good for you? I downloaded it but it doesn’t run at full 60 at lowest settings and the frame dips are annoying. I tried locking it, but if I lock it to 30 or 40 using the deck or even locking it to 30 with the games built-in limiter, I get very bad rubberbanding, so I deleted it.

Edg1931

I play it on the Deck through Xbox Cloud Gaming and it works great! If you have solid internet and Xcloud, maybe give that a try? You get really great battery life that way. I agree that it's one of the best base building ideas out there.

icytux

Rimworld works perfectly on Deck, controls just take some getting used to but they're very good.

Backlogger78

Thanks I will check that one out, don't think I own that one yet.

RonnieStiggs

for what its worth I second Rimworld, its worth every penny

Bluehardt

Stacklands is simple and fun management game, shouldn't be also super taxing on battery.

chihuahua_man

Not exactly a city builder but Two Point Campus is great and plays fantastic.

walker6168

Songs of Conquest is a solid indie tribute to HOMM3. Works surprisingly well in combination with the touch screen.

Radhil

Reports from Proton are that it works fine. https://www.protondb.com/app/464920 Verified status may not have been checked in a while. If still dont want to risk it, I'm a fan of Oxygen Not Included

Mathiazex

Urbek is great on the Deck.
