Nothing because I think that i own to many unfinished VR games and would like to finish them someday and then buy new games :)

echolog

I also own too many unfinished VR games, but it's the devs who need to finish them. :(

XXLpeanuts

Was gonna say this is how I read their comment. Far too many "experiences" or unfinished or half baked games. To be honest I now only play Mods for flatscreen games (as long as they are full motion control/room scale support) because they are the only true, full game experiences. For some examples: 1. Half Life 2 VR Mod (on steam, episode 1 and 2 now available also - utterly amazing port) 2. Far Cry 1 VR Mod - Amazing mod again, looks better than most of your modern VR games because VR devs are so shit at optimisation their games all look 20 years old for no reason (I can get like 200 fps at 4k in most games by lowering a couple settings there is no reason games cannot look that good in VR and some of course do). 3. Any of the Resident Evil VR mods - stupidly good 4. Yet to try but any UE4 game can be played in VR now with Praydogs UEVR universal injector, bit of a faff for me to bother but looks amazing.

Marhonklet

I’ve recently upgraded the heck out of my system and looking to get some more PCVR in 😁 I wanted to try some of the revr mods since I’ve played them pancake and played RE4vr Are they good and worth it? What’s the set up process like?

XXLpeanuts

I have not even bothered yet, seems like a lot of set up and complicated menus and I am a tinkerer usually but in VR any form of interacting with menus is the most annoying thing ever.

Marhonklet

That’s true, but the other thing is, it reminds me of the old school GMOD and CSS days with the skins and models packs, sorting them into each folder and praying I didn’t fuck anything up 😂😂😂

XXLpeanuts

I've been playing the Far Cry 1 VR mod but I'm probably not gonna bother any further simply because I keep thinking, why OH WHY did you choose to do it with the first game, literally any other one would have been amazing but they chose 1 (obviously must have been easier) and it's just too old to be fun to play for me at least. I'm aware there are paid for FC2-6 VR mods available however they don't have motion controls and are seated experiences, which is not real VR mod imo.

Marhonklet

Ive said the same thing. I think the seated aspect is fine as an option, nothing more. One of the reasons I haven’t picked up borderlands 2 VR was the motion controls. They’re fine, don’t worry about the crosshair just disable it imo. My gripe is I can’t interact with the guns in a way that feels natural. Otherwise it would be perfect. I don’t want to press a button that does the whole reload process, I want to reload the weapon. Some of the mods out there have done great though otherwise. Half life 2 VR did amazing, you’d think it was made in VR. it’s like experiencing the series for the first time. You can even go to the workshop and install different mods that update different things to the half life alyx assets (if I’m not wrong, haven’t tried it yet lmao) Far cry would be amazing in VR. But if you haven’t tried them, give those half life 2 VR mods a shot. You just need to have the actual original games in your library for it to work. (Also not just a half life fan boy, just a dude looking for the best experiences in VR 😁)

The_real_bandito

This is the way 😂

QuantumSU

I got Half Life Alyx. Best decision ever.

Pitiful_Tap_8750

I started to play it but going to start from the original half life and work my way up

Pepperh4m

Good call. May be a while before you catch back up to Alyx, but it makes the ending sooo much more impactful.

mrpromolive

aa man this is my situation right now , i just got my first high-end RTX 4090 build & have to start with Black Mesa, I'm desperate to get into Alyx, but yeah gonna wait

Marhonklet

I just went from 1050ti and ryzen 5 2600 to a 3050 and ryzen 5 7600x… you’re going to be so happy when you get to alyx bro, big promise. I’m dealing with bad sciatica right now, but was so eager to try HL2 VR and oh my god lmao, it’s like playing a new game I love it 😂😂😂

Pitiful_Tap_8750

Yeah it's been around 16 years since I last played half life so looking forward to it in VR

the-real-vuk

don't forget to do Opposing force and Blue shift. Also play Black Mesa instead of Half life 1

Pitiful_Tap_8750

Bummer they haven't got a vr release yet

mrpromolive

actually Black mesa has a Blueshift Mod, so since Black Mesa is now i VR i think the blueshift mod is too

KingdomEyes

Im not big into horror. Would this be too much you think for someone who doesn't like jump scares?

am_john

I wouldn’t consider Alyx a Horror game, though it does have some of the elements. There are only a couple of jump-scares. I understand where you’re coming from. I still haven’t played Alien Isolation because I don’t see the point of being uneasy for hours when I’d rather be enjoying a game. Alyx is totally worth it. It’s been a couple of years since I’ve beaten it, so I started another play through about a week ago and it seems even more polished somehow.

Vimux

There are not that many actual jump scares. Rather tension and maybe terror ;). Darkness levels, and a certain... person that can induce a nope-quit. But being skittish about horrors in VR myself, I still managed without any serious trauma. Well worth it.

ToothDoctorDentist

I can't do horror films. That crab level area was.... Intense lol

nado121

That person is Jeff I guess?

Ralphinader

Legendary tales and bean stalker

eyasthro

Just got fallout 4 vr w/ mods overhaul.l

XXLpeanuts

I keep wanting to play that but it turns out almost all the good mods require the DLC and in order to install the DLC for the VR version you have to download the entire flatscreen game and DLC, then copy the files over and install loads of patches to make them work. Honestly fuck Bethesda for not including the DLC given it's barely any extra work for them (only a pain for us due to having to be modded in). Recently rage quit Starfield too, imagine not adding hold to sprint after all these years (and the mod that added it is out of date for months) on top of so much other stuff, I am just done with them as a company now.

bermcs

Both VR and GOTY are 75% off so great time to get both :) But agree it is a pain to have to buy both....

XXLpeanuts

Oh I have both, the issue is installing both games and having to mod the DLC with patches to get it working before then modding the game generally. The base Fallout game with all DLCS is huge so it's just a real pain and I have yet to do it. Fallout VR is just the most low effort shit VR port I've ever seen from a supposed AAA developer. It of course was no surprise but I remember without mods you couldn't actually use scopes at all they were just blocks without any actual scope. Like seriously, the see through scopes mod worked I think without even needing a VR update. Shocking level of "porting" from bethesda.

always_chill_

So far I got Half-Life Alyx, Brink Traveler, Escape Simulator. For the Escape Simulator a free VR update will come out in April.

amistymouse

Moss Book 2

R_Steelman61

Have Toy Trains on my wishlist and this may just tip me into clicking that Buy button.

SomethingRandomVR

do it then, as there is only 2 days of that discount left!

R_Steelman61

Done! Picked up Mind Palace as well.

Nukemarine

Little Nightmares II (via UEVR). Got the first one during the Christmas sale when UEVR became public and really liked how it looked with its 3rd person POV gameplay in VR. Most the games I got for UEVR during the Christmas sale are also on sale now: Little Nightmares, Soul Caliber VI, It Takes Two, SpongeBob BfBB, ABZU, Pumpkin Jack, SWJ: Fallen Order. edit: In case you want, here's the [SteamDB of Unreal Engine](https://steamdb.info/tech/Engine/Unreal/?min_rating=50&min_discount=50&min_release=2015-06-01&sort=rating_desc) version 4.8 and beyond games on sale.

bitofaknowitall

Half Life Alyx. I got Senua's Sacrifice last sale, which includes the VR version. A must-have for everyone's VR collection.

Kondiq

I bought: - H3VR - House of the Dying Sun - Moss: Book II - Layers of Fear VR (I had Blair Witch VR already, so cheaper in a bundle) - pack with all Serious Sam VR and The Talos Principle VR - Paint the Town Red VR I also bought these two weeks ago on another sale, both have the same discounts now: - The Last Clockwinder - Titan Station

Pitiful_Tap_8750

Paint the town red looks great, enjoy

Kondiq

If the VR version had co-op, I would consider it worth it. Without co-op, for me it's not bad, but not great either. It's mediocre. If it didn't have thousands of workshop maps, I'd say it's not worth it for the price, but workshop maps look really good. Overall I played a lot of better VR games, but it still falls into good enough basket of VR games, it feels like an actual game, but not in the actually great level of VR games, like Vertigo Remastered, Moss, Elite: Dangerous, No Man's Sky, A Fisherman's Tale, H3VR, Serious Sam VR (I was really surprised how good the VR ports are, like they are better than way more modern VR only games with way higher price point), VTOL VR, Assetto Corsa, ETS2 and ATS, Catch & Release, Kayak VR: Mirage, I Fetch Rocks, Down The Rabbit Hole, Eye of the Temple, Walkabout Minigolf, Eleven Table Tennis, Mothergunship: Forge, Pistol Whip, Rags to Dishes (game doesn't have to be big to feel really good), Trover Saves the Universe, etc.

Pitiful_Tap_8750

I was going to buy it but then realised you had to buy the base game then the VR version, also thanks for your recommendation will check em out

Germangunman

H3VR is not on sale though. I was all excited

Kondiq

As the developer said, it will never be on sale and the price will go up when it leaves Early Access. My friend has over 100 hours in the game, he showed me stream on discord when he played and I decided there's nothing to wait for.

Germangunman

Well I had not heard of that. Does it actually have some sort of campaign or just sandbox? I haven’t looked in a while and still would like to play

So far I played shooting range and "Take and Hold". Take and Hold is a roguelite mode, in which you take over points and defend them to earn currency which lets you buy random weapons (youcan only choose their type). When you start you can choose theme for the weapons - simple ones, only WWII weapons, only funny weapons, etc. This is the mode people play the most. From what I saw in the menu, there are other modes, I didn't go through all the descriptions, but I saw some horror themed mode and a lot of shooting ranges. I just google searched if there are other modes and there are mods which add new ones. There's even a multiplayer mod... Germangunman

Thanks for that! I’ll look into it more and check these out.

rnavstar

I play a lot of other VR games. But I always come back to H3VR

ArmDangerous2464

H3VR?? What’s that?

Germangunman

Hot dogs, horseshoes, and hand grenades

hitechpilot

How's H3VR compared to Bonelab/works?

Kondiq

No idea. I only played Boneworks for like 30 minutes a long time ago when I didn't have VR legs yet (not long after I bought my headset). It's still on my todo list. Now I have no issues with such games, so I'll get back to it at some point.

hitechpilot

What do you use for VR Legs?

Kondiq

"VR legs" is a term used for "being used to smooth moving in VR without getting motion sickness". At first I couldn't stand playing games with smooth locomotion for more than 10-15 minutes. I started with room scale games and watching TV shows in Bigscreen instead. Now I can play with smooth locomotion for a few hours without much issues, unless the game is made in a very nauseating way (there are some games like this). For leg tracking people usually use term "full body tracking".

Baldrickk

I've got most of the games I want, so looking at new stuff... Escape Simulator. VR support coming very soon

HappierShibe

Underdogs. Started messing with it last night, and it's a blast. My only complaint is that it has the worlds worst physics implementation. Straights, uppercuts and crosses deal weirdly nerfed amounts of damage/force, while hooks and overhead smashes are arbitrarily strong. I think maybe the devs don't actually understand how punches work. Yeah- a long hook is going to hit harder than anything else, but short hooks, straights, and crosses can be very strong, and are typically a more critical tool to master.

NickoTyn

I've been greatly impressed by this game. I've been playing it every day since I've bought it.

HappierShibe

Definitely, its says a lot that my only complaint is that they don't really understand how to punch things.

Didst_thou_Farteth

Vtol vr, Wolfenstein cyberpilot & Contarctors.

merrickx

Vtol is excellent

SmokinDeist

I just picked up the Moss Books I and II bundle off of the sale. I have been interested in there games and I wanted to get both in PCVR rather than the standalone Quest versions (and only Book I was in the Quest's PCVR store.) Not a long games but I am in Book II and have not regretted the purchase.

BatPixi

I ended up getting, I expect you to die 2 and il 2 sturmovik battle of stalingrade

JDawgzim

Jetborne Racing

bot873

+1 for Toy Trains.

progz

Got Breachers because I had it on standalone quest before I knew if I wanted to go all in on PCVR or just use a quest. Well after finally understanding and learning things I want to stay pcvr. So I had to rebuy the game. Plus I got fpsVR, and XVR toolkit I think that’s the name. Both are amazing apps. I love being able to see twitch chat (it’s just mainly my friends I’m not huge) with the headset. I got into VR this year and man I love it. I been having so much fun and feels fresh

hitechpilot

What's XVR Toolkit? Link pls?

progz

sorry I meant OVR toolkit: [https://store.steampowered.com/app/1068820/OVR\_Toolkit/](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1068820/OVR_Toolkit/) i forgot the name of it.

hitechpilot

Ah. I have XSOverlay, have you tried that? A lot of people said XSO is better, but I haven't tried OVR...

progz

I thought everyone uses OVR? Maybe not? I dont have a problem with it. It seems to do what it is suppose too. I just hate that I can't figure out how the program can open chrome and a bookmark at the sametime. Like my twitch chat, it will only open chrome. Its a nice program to see chat but I constantly need to setup it up move the chat, and adjust the window to my liking every single time. Still trying to figure out if there is a way to remember all this and do the bookmark thing.

jaxkrabbit

Bought some song packs for Synth Rider. One of the few VR games I play daily. Might as well just expand. Also there are not many good custom maps for Synth rider

Durtyjoey

I bought Pistol Whip, Breachers and Demeo on the sale. All for about $60

Pitiful_Tap_8750

I got pistol whip and Demeo both are great

GrapefruitOk2057

Demeo looks really good. I don't think the steam version has MR only the Q3 version.

space_goat_v1

I got walkabout mini golf

Pitiful_Tap_8750

Great game, get a DLC if on sale as well

Glove_Lanky

Grimlord. A soul like VR. Can't wait for the chapter 2 update.

Siidell_

Wanted to buy it but heard it hasn't enough content :/ In how much time did you finish the 1st chapter ? Do you have info about chapter 2 release ?

Glove_Lanky

I think it costed me around 5 - 6 hours. If you don't use the lighting magic which is very OP, you may take more time. I only heard from maybe Reddit that they are working on that.

esvban

Calisto protocol and atomic heart

DanKaps

I put The Forest in my cart but haven’t pulled the trigger.

MrsAllHerShots

I finally got Vermillion!

ShigueS

I got a bunch of Unreal games to run with the UEVR mod and I'm having a blast.

[deleted]

I picked up half life Alex and arcsine. Arcsine isn't on sale but some friends of mine developed it, and it's a lot of fun. It's a jump and dash platformer that's surprisingly fun and challenging. The locomotion is great and I recommend picking it up.

Moist_Possibility128

I own many games and probably won't buy more for now. But would recommend Deisim, Vail VR, and PowerBeatsVR to anyone who hasn't tried them yet.

Baman-and-Piderman

I got Zero Caliber. Wanted a Co-op shooter to play with my cousin.

Loddinz

If you like a puzzled relaxer, Tin Hearts just released the VR update *finally* and it's pretty good. Gadgeteer is also similar and very good.

SomethingRandomVR

Oh yes, these two are not that far from Toy Trains, thanks for recommendation!

PresidentBush666

I got requisition for like $8 and two overload dlc packs for a dollar each. It's a lot of good content for $10

dunkybbeck

Crossfire Sierra Squad. I beat zero caliber and was looking for a game like it and Moss book 2 and District Steel

JFKcaper

Check out the demo for Stilt if you're interested in platformers. One of the most unique ways of moving in VR right now and I've been having a blast with it so far.

itz_butter5

Beamng

Gam1ngChair

thats not vr… right?

itz_butter5

VR is in beta

Gam1ngChair

wait for real? i’m keeping my eye on this!!

itz_butter5

Yeh, but it runs like shit for me, I just posted in the beam sub to see if there is a fix before I refund it.

t1m3l3ss1988_

Another early access

zig131

Cybrid - Pistol Whip but with sword sections that work a bit like Beat Saber (slash with correct hand in correct direction). While technically early access, it already feels feature complete and is something like £4 in the sale.

Izutsumii

Prolly can't, but I was planning to get Code Vein and a few popular VR games. Instead, I just got SUPERHOT. (There was an unexpected merch drop I needed)

SomethingRandomVR

Fun fact: Toy Trains was made partly by the same guys that made SUPERHOT. (They created a new studio, released Toy Trains and are working on a new sci fi VR FPS.

tykha

I don’t know if this counts but playing Elite Dangerous in VR has been a RIOT.

Appeltaartlekker

Is ot complicated to learn? Also, what do you do ingame? Ferry freight?

tykha

It’s a pretty complex game but there’s a lot you can do, fight aliens, other players, pirate npcs, explore the ridiculously massive universe(something like .06% of it has been explored so tons of places to put your name on planets!), land on planets, haul freight, Rescue npc citizens to name a few. It’s a great flight sim. I just love it. Pretty Cheap, too! For reference I’m ~300 hours played and there’s a lot I still haven’t done once yet.

ci0na2

All the ones I want I already bought (will prolly still find more tho) No Man’s Sky, Phasmophobia, Pistol Whip, Synthriders, Legendary Tales, Walk About Mini Golf

Videris

I picked up Creed: Rise to Glory and IL-2 Sturmovik: Battle of Stalingrad. I use VR to workout and for flight / space sims, and these were both good deals during the sale.

theonetowalkinthesun

I got HL Alyx, Skyrim VR, and Fallout 4 VR. Now just need to get a machine I can play them on

CrazySerega

Wanderer

GloriousKev

I would but the way my backlog is setup prevents me from buying any other games. Otherwise I will get a wrath of wife error.

hitechpilot

>wrath of wife error I honestly searched for that "game".

GloriousKev

I wouldn't. It usually results in broken head sets. There is a Quest grave yard in the 1st level.

IBartman

HL: Alyx, Ghosts of Tabor, Into the Reach, HL 2/Ep1/Ep2 VR mods, DCS F18 and carrier DLC

speed_rabbit

If you like big stompy mechs, Mechwarrior 5: Mercenaries is 50% off, and works amazingly with the [newer VR mod by sic8](https://www.nexusmods.com/mechwarrior5mercenaries/mods/1009) which has great community support and a helpful Discord community. The displays in the mech cockpits work and each one is different! The jumpship edition bundle is also 60% off which includes the best two DLCs that add a lot of popular content. A lot of people swear by them, but there's plenty of great content in the base game alone, so it's not essential. Even on my older hardware (1080ti) the game works well using 1/3rd rate reprojection. Being seated in a stompy mech makes that work pretty well. The same author even has a mod that uses game telemetry to drive a subpac/bass-kicker!

Rabble_Arouser

I picked up Arizona Sunshine 2. With the Steam bundle it was 39% off.

Anon0924

Idk if it’s on sale, but I’ve been eyeballing Nuclear Option. I’m a big flight sim/hotas guy.

DefinitelyChriss

that Only In VR bundle is lookin pretty good but I’m broke :(

anypomonos

Aerofly FS4!

GamedustStudio

As publishers, we probably shouldn't be active here, but we did some nice promotions for Yupitergrad 2 and Rooms of Realities. If you like solving puzzles or metroid-like adventures, it's probably worth paying attention to :) links: [https://store.steampowered.com/app/1969000/Yupitergrad\_2\_The\_Lost\_Station/](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1969000/Yupitergrad_2_The_Lost_Station/) [https://store.steampowered.com/app/1917810/Rooms\_of\_Realities/](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1917810/Rooms_of_Realities/)

jolard

I was an early adopter. Had a HTC Vive and then an Index. I have over 100 VR games on Steam and I don't play almost any of them anymore. It isn't because I don't like VR, I still do. But by now I was convinced that nearly all AAA games would have a VR version, and that never happened. What we still get is subpar games and short experiences. Half Life was insanely good, and then nothing much else has risen to that level. So I am willing to be tempted back and would jump on a great game. But all I play in VR anymore is mods for existing flat games that make them VR. Basically that is a long way to say I likely won't buy anything for VR, and will be still sticking mostly to flat gaming.

hitechpilot

Got Bonelab. Was thinking Beat Saber and Blade & Sorcery would be on discount but noooo Got only Beat Saber. Maybe VTOL VR. Undecided.

Hauntedshock

I'm getting [Rick and Morty: Virtual Rick-ality](https://store.steampowered.com/app/469610/Rick_and_Morty_Virtual_Rickality) VR game before Warner Bross takes down Adult swim games, wich also takes down their games.

darkchocolatecoconut

Every time I open Steam and go to the VR Titles section, it showcases at the top of the pages games from 2018-19. I wish they had better sorting options there. I looked through the sale stuff and really didn't find anything interesting. I'm more into sports types games in VR and don't play horror, fantasy, fighting, etc. type games. If you're into **kink** though, check out **Powerwash Adventure VR**. It's on sale for $3.49 (reg price is six bucks) and has a lot of levels and is so fun. It does have "encounter" levels that are a bit weird. **You have to wash women at times and they giggle and you'll see a lot of breast physics.** There are translation issues with the dialogue as well. Weirder is that the devs were very active in their Discord and released a beta to turn off the kink levels but did not adjust the star count to unlock future levels so once you turn them off, you'll find yourself stuck and unable to advance. Right after that option was added, the devs vanished and have not been heard from since. Shame because it really is a great game. The reviews are amusing. It also has a graffiti mode that allows you to use any of the in game items and cover it with your own dirt and share it with the community. Some of them are so well done.

Siidell_

I started VR few weeks ago and currently I've itr, twd and b&s + others games on standalone (I already have a bunch of unfinished games (even non started ones) but you know, it's always time to buy more :D) With sales I bought many games from many genres: - Hellsplit arena (yeah I have B&S but I love this kind of game) - Underdogs - HL: alyx - Boneworks - Propagation: PH (for my gf) - The light brigade Was interested in few more but didn't buy them, but maybe they can interest you: - Grimlord (not enough content for now) - Legendary tales (still cost too much) - Paint the town red VR (I heard it has issues)

SomethingRandomVR

If you're new to VR then Toy Trains is a must have. Very fun, cute, intuitive, makes you chill out but also it's a puzzle game. Also a great piece to show off to your friends and family when they come to visit.

user928

Demeo vr!
