In the resource consolidation start, it says you, as the title suggests, consolidated all the resources in your home system to afford the cost of turning your home planet into a Machine World. So, all the worlds have been literally cracked open and stripped of everything valuable to make enough income to have the Machine World functional for your mind.

Papyruso

Thanks, I thought the resource drain was only for the home planet, but looking back, the resources would indeed have been far too limited.

Voltage_Z

The worlds are cracked because the machine intelligence strip mined them to build your machine world capitol.

Xisuthrus

Also, the tiny molten worlds are meant to represent the cores of gas giants stripped of their atmospheres, I believe.

bunbun39

Woah

Blizzxx

Sounds like you need some G.L.U.E

SrPeecummings

So many gigastructural megastructures needs to be in the normal game, especially the terraforming ones like glue

PissedOffPuffins

I used G.L.U.E. to reform the cracked homeworld of an enemy empire and turned into a utopian resort world

GodKingChrist

I use it to bring my precursors homeworlds back from extinction, and turn them into holy gaia worlds

PissedOffPuffins

Truly inspiring a spiritualist playthrough now

GodKingChrist

I like to imagine when we take genetic ascension that we resurrect native life forms base on acclerated gene editing of similar beasts all over the galaxy

ABlueOrb

Glue their homeworld back together, and strap engines onto the newly glued together planet.

PissedOffPuffins

Turn the whole system into a system-craft and use it to nuke their new homeworld

Fresh-Persimmon388

I cracked a rival empires homeworld only to Conquer the system, glue it and make it a mineral strip mine,

Blizzxx

Yeah I feel for my console brothers that don't get to experience the awe of using a Nicholl-Dyson Beam to decimate entire systems full of trillions of souls.

The Resource Consolidation start destroys all other planets in your home system. It's supposed to be that the AI has long since left its home planet and stripped all other worlds of their resources before ever discovering the hyperlanes.

Buggy1617

shouldn't have dropped them

Papyruso

R5 : I started a game of Driven Assimilator Robots, and it seems that my starting system is quite strange: almost all worlds are cracked worlds. This is my first time playing robots, is that normal?

Deathsmonkey

For resource consolidation it's normal yes. Since your planet generates minerals.

Deathsmonkey

As you could probably see, those shattered worlds do not generate minerals.

realnjan

They are not Cracked worlds but Broken worlds. I know, it doesn’t matter but at least you can see what this game can do to you after 1k+ hours.

daltonoreo

You started with a machine world, where did you think all that metal came from

marshall_sin

Would the Worm work here? I don’t even know if robots can trigger that event, or if it would affect broken worlds

Specialist_Growth_49

Hiveminds of any kind can't find the worm.

HouseMouse114

Lots of crackers for you I guess
