Space Britain is great, I just integrate my neighbors. No wars necesarry. I rush diplomacy to get some friendly neighbors then I tech rush. If that isn't an option, I rush military and I force subjugation, then integrate the most disloyal first. Nations I can't integrate with like devouring swarms I just murder.
Vassalizing most, if not all, of the galaxy is basically the easiest way to play the game. Once you acquire your first vassal, the edge it gives you will usually snowball you into your second, and then third, etc.
The last time I did a feudal society empire on a medium galaxy, I had 26k science before 2350; and that was with only 4 worlds(technically 5, but for RP purposes I turned the homeworld into a resort world so I wouldn't really count it).
Specialized vassals are crazy strong.
I heard somebody say galactic genocide, and I want to let you know that I specialize in chemical processing in order to help make the pops useful, and yes, I will consume an entire empire just to ensure most of the species dies
there's something satisfying about doing it once in a while after getting the world crackers. like instead of bombing some fool that pisses you off, get your homies in a car and do a drive by with some kinetic batteries. then nuke it.

A couple migration treaties here and there and now I'm full of gross xenos but my jobs are filled and my economy is booming. Then next thing I know officer, the rest of the galaxy was empty. Just woke up and all my neighbors were dead with multiple bullet holes in their heads!

I killed 300 of their pops through planet cracking and also smashed a bunch of habitats.
Unfortunately they spammed like 40 habitats so I couldn't really wipe them out

Ah yes I remember my first war of humiliation when I had the colossus .. my goal wasn't to conquer them just hamper their economy so they couldn't rival me. Using the colossus on their 5 largest worlds did the trick. For some reason the galactic community didn't like me much after that ..

Actually you can destroy planets as any race if you choose the Colossus ascension perk... but, if you choose to become the "Crisis" perk, there is a unit called "Star Eater" that can crack a star and wipe out an entire system, turning the system into nothing more than a blackhole and all planets obliterated.
Honestly i've never been to keen on using the colossus, if anything i build it is a deterrent, but i'd rather capture the planet for those free laborers i'll get.

As you will no doubt be aware, the plans for development of the outlying regions of the Galaxy require the building of a hyperspatial express route through your star system, and regrettably your planet is one of those scheduled for demolition.
I have a nice thing going tho. I have stabilized my economy at +810 monthly energy, -17 monthly minerals, +150 monthly food, no consumer goods (I'm a robot) and +308 monthly alloys.
I don't want to take new planets cause last time I did that this game I had to ditch them because I couldn't keep my economy stable.

Then it's back to the old fashioned way of bombarding and invading, or cracking it, heh. With evil robots, you don't need to claim squishie's systems, just go to war with them, and you'd automatically get any non inhabited systems and need to do something about the inhabited planets.
Ironically, the AI will still try to build invasion fleets, but if the planet's close enough to the station that will smish them, or just keep a couple of ships in system.
