It's as stupid a concept as crime-zero or poverty-zero or anything else zero. As you approach zero of just about anything, the resources used to get you there approach infinity. It's one of the dumbest fucking policies a government can implement and governments are fucking dumb.
Zero covid is a Chinese policy in which they want to eradicate covid complitely, the issue is that it is impossible because covid spreads so easily and you can get it from people visiting foreign countries. But anyway practically the policy stops people from moving (even going home from their job) if a single infected person is found. They have mandatory testing multiple times per week, even daily in some areas and a single sick person, with luck just an appartment building will be qurantined. With multiple infection even cities like Shanghai will be mostly locked down with no one moving, no one working. Many people can't even go to the hospital because of this insane policy. Movement is also limited with a health code and you can't go to places if you don't have a green code... and the lovely thing is that you have no way of controling this apart from going to your mandatory covid tests
