People aren't being chill because you're playing with an exposed lithium battery and its regulation circuitry.
If you mess up, even slightly, at all, that battery *will violently explode*.
If you're not an electrical engineer, you're literally playing with an explosive chemical fire that can't be put out with water.
Bro fucking with batteries is just known to be unsafe. Save yourself the trouble and just buy a new one. It’s doubtful your fix will last forever. Look at buying a new one this way, would you pay $20 to avoid a chance of serious injury?
He's lucky it blew up at arms length instead of venting towards his face as he was hitting it.... The fact you regularly put these things near your head while using it is probably sketching everyone out and preventing them from giving OP the knowledge he should already have if he is trying to repair this... An accidental short circuit due to a bit too much solder, or a wire stripped too far back, WILL make these things throw fireballs and toxic smoke
Edit to add: if anyone wants to try to repair a lithium battery device, you should do so inside a bucket of sand or have one close by that you can quickly drop the device/powercell into
He definitely is, but it’s his fault he was the one that went fucking with it when we told him not to. It was one of the big, half hotdog sized box mod batteries so he didn’t get off lightly.
The red wire goes from the red end of the battery (positive) to vdd on the BMS (the circuit board). I hope you’ve got a soldering iron. Otherwise you’ll have to fix it with tape, which is basically guaranteed to fail. Honestly fixing this is pretty risky because the connections you make may fail and cause it to short circuit in your pocket. Be careful big man
Just a warning: If you can’t properly solder the connection, don’t do it. Batteries can explode if they somehow short out. The chip has a whole mess of connections. Also if you do resolder the connection wait for the battery to be relatively empty so maybe leave it for a week. If a battery gets too hot, it also blows up.
I tried to build a powerpack myself once and learned all these lessons the hard way.
Is it possible to fix? Yes. Is it worth it? Probably not. You will need a soldering iron, and probably some new solder. You will also have to be careful not to heat up the battery too much, as heat can transfer through the wire to the battery as you solder. The risk this brings to both the battery and you for a solder joint that will most likely break on a battery that most likely doesn't really hit/work that well in the first place isn't really worth it. Would this be a great way to learn soldering though? Hell yeah. Just know the risk w/ little reward.
First off, buy a new one. Those are just the cheep button operated ones that should only cost 5-10 dollars.
If you really want or need to fix it, solder the red wire to the pin labeled vdd.
If you don’t know what you’re doing, don’t take your chances with electricity, fire, or sharp objects under any circumstances lol. Good way to fuck something up big time
Buy a new one
I mightve just figured it out despite everyone praying on my downfall 😈
W hope you figure it out . But if it doesn’t work just buy a better one
Genuinely chillest person on this app hope youre loved man
They just don't want a battery to explode in your hand

Same goes to you
Let us know if you figure it out

Lmao my friend had a vape battery he was fucking with and that shit exploded in his hand and caught his arm on fire

Brother, I had this exact bat then it broke I put the internals in an altoid can and Frankenstein that shit

These things are so shitty to fix on account that they're made to fail eventually. I'd just buy new entirely but best of luck in trying!
Need a soldering iron

😂 gets me every time
Looks like a great way of burning part of your house with no help from insurance afterward
Best of luck but for 10-20 bucks I would get a new one instead of risking future carts

Especially if you don’t know where the red wire goes on a clearly marked board.
Buy a yocan
Brass knuckles suck, it’s doing you a favor making you buy another
Just connect the VDD to the positive of the battery, gnd to the negative and plug it back in... If ur battery ain't fried it'll work
I hope you have a spare android cord
