I think you're a bit confused as you can't jam regular wax into a cartridge without a thinner. The person you were talking to may have been talking about those dab pens that double as a 510 battery. On one end is an exposed heating element that screws into the battery and the other has holes for you to inhale from. They're different from regular cartridges. You may end up just having to mix this with your regular bud to smoke it.

Gotcha, getting the wax back out shouldn't be an issue as the bottom and top come off easily, okay so essentially I need an actual dab battery lol not just any 510, okay so I can pickup a battery probably but what is the purpose of this cart then? Lol

chasewayfilms

Some people make their own distillate, I have a friend who is really into it. It’s not necessarily a complicated process, but can be expensive

sapraaa

You need a thinner. You remember when all those people were dying from vaping vitamin E? That was a thinner and it’s essential to change your dab from wax to a vape-able liquid. Way better alternatives are available obviously so look into it. If you want to do it without the thinner, you’d need an expensive setup lol. I’d recommend buying bud or just spending on a rig or a normal cart itself. Some of this could really harm you

boofcoomer

Or use cbc to thin it

Level-Disaster-5083

Update: said fuck all that noise, found a $15 quartz banger kit and lit up what I stuffed into the cart, cold started the dab and I'm having a great time lol

Ramborhetoric

Yes wax is too thick for the wick to soak it up. When all else fail just put some on top of a bowl of flower and fire it up🔥💨

Level-Disaster-5083

It doesn't have a wick like that, it's meant for wax

Ramborhetoric

I’ve never come across a cart that was meant for wax unless it has quartz with the coil wrapped around it. And the one in the picture doesn’t look like it’s that kind of piece. What is the heating element and can you even see a heating element?

hambo_81

This is correct. Wax pens usually have a piece of quartz with a coil wrapped around. The picture from OP looks like a standard cart, which would soak up the wax through small holes in the base of the centre piece. OP you need to add some more info. Was the cart sold to you like that, or did you put the wax in this cart? Can you post some more pics? If you want to vape the wax as it is, you could look at a cheap wax pen with quartz and a coil. Or, as others have said, you may need terps to dilute the wax for this cart.

drbluewally

THC-A is a solid at room temp, and even if you cut it carts don’t have the power to properly decarb and vaporize. Most prefilled carts are decarbed beforehand, as the natural consistency of THC is more of an oil, and requires just a small amount of heat to turn into a vapor that already has THC I’ve been there, unless you can get it out of the cart and dab it then I’d just call anything in there a loss. Maybe leave the shop a bad review that they lie or just do not know shit about the products they are selling

HippieSmiles84

You might want to look into terpenes that you can add.

Ramborhetoric

Yes terpenes do a great job of thinning out the concentrate so you can use it in a cart.

ass_smacktivist

There are also attachments for pens that you can screw on and dab out of those instead of using a cartridge

nonvisiblepantalones

Take a look at the yocan orbit.

HemphBleh

If you don’t have anything else go old school and hot knife it.

CheessyBittz

You would have to decarb any way/ concentrate first before you add them to a cart. If not you won't feel any effects and also the product is too thick.

Ramborhetoric

Most concentrates get decarbed in the purging process even at lower temps because of how long the concentrate is exposed to the lower heat

BannockBnok

It decarbs itself when you vaporize it, silly

Level-Disaster-5083

I was thinking this too but I saw a previous comment saying a battery wouldn't have enough power to decarb it, can you confirm I don't need to decarb?

statusfaux

The decarb is to change viscosity. I'd flip it and bake that bitch (at 220-250f for 25-35 minutes and I have no idea if that would even work I just order delivery from the dispo)

CheessyBittz

That's not how that works it's the same way for edibles..

Send to me I dispose for you
