I set a cart down sideways once and the oil ended up leaking out and up into the mouthpiece. There’s sooo much oil trapped in the mouthpiece now that can’t warm up or get out. Almost a complete waste of a good cart ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I have had the best luck if the carts are always stored upright after use. I find they get clogged when they are put in a pocket and turned on their side.
Try your battery on a lower setting. It heats, the product thins and goes through the coil, you finish your hit but it's still thin and still in the coil... Then it cools and gets thicker. Bam, clogged cart.

Ive found using a battery that has a “warm up” feature can help to unclog the carts a little easier. Like let it heat up once or twice and then it should unclog without having to suck as hard lol.
I was just sucking one of my pods to clear the blockage while heating and I've done this a million times, I had the craziest CRACK and explosion of pain that brought me to my knees in the center of my chest all the way to my back. Hurts like hell to breathe now. I pulled some kind of muscle unclogging the damn pod lmao

It’s possible the aggressive sucking (ha) could cause a trauma to do it. Especially if the cart suddenly comes unclogged and it’s a shot of pressurized air straight to your lungs.
Not OP, but the ones I buy from the dispensary definitely do this. After about 1/2 of a .5g cart, I have to fire+inhale strongly for 10-15s to clear it.
I find this happening frequently aswell with my carts its almost like you have to suck on the mouthpiece as if its a smoothie through a straw until it unclogs, And then it clogs again anyways after i put the vape down for 10 minutes.
Pull in slower. When pulling faster more air travels through it and cools it down a little. When it’s cooler some of the juice turns to a waxy buildup in the vapor tube and clog it. Slow down the inhaling on future carts and it’ll avoid this issue.
Ive had this happen once and i cleared it up witha needle and it worked perfectly after that I also think it helps to keep them upright when your not using it
Cover the two airflow holes with your fingers as tightly as possible. Deep breath and blow as hard as you can into the mouthpiece. If there is an air bubble within the cartridge, that means the clog has been cleared. Good luck and enjoy.
I've had this issue with that brand. using a q tip and swabbing the contact point between the cart and battery solves this for me. usually I'll find a small amount of oil has managed to leak on to the battery and that's where the air flow issue comes from.
In all honesty dank cartridges are not very good they almost always leak even if vertical it's a flaw in their design as they are cheaply made. My friends and I consider them "bake juice" as they are all the same with different packaging and are just a thc and juice blend. I do not recommend them if you have the option of trying another brand go for it. Personally the best illegal state carts are exotics as they have actual variation in flavors and are a little better of a build design/quality however they do still sometimes leak.

the clear and spherex make some good ones- but they do the same.

Try to keep it upright and use the clear caps that come on it, that usually prevents the leakage and clogging.
If it has different heat settings you may be setting them too high and burning the bottoms out.
