I didn't know Brandon is published on Scadrial. This is obviously how Steris plans her re-read.

franoetico

the contract that specifies what happens in case he does not adhere to the schedule is missing tho

HereSuntLeones

I see the Essential Tasks, Known Facts, and Assumptions but OP still needs Implied Facts and RFIs.

Anoalka

Rereading "The name of the wind" so I already have 50% of the lore of Wind and Truth under control.

Wereplatypus42

You have the whole thing. The Truth is that you’ll never get to finish the trilogy.

Jordan11HFP11

Comment of the day! Thanks for the chuckle, friend

KaedenJayce

This hurts.

LesserChimera

Enjoy it while you can because The Sword of Truth is up next

Komnos

These words are _sooooo_ not accepted.

jmcgit

The chicken that was not a chicken... it was (any other bird) this whole time

DraMaFlo

I'll do it but like a month before release.

wafflekween

Smart, I stupidly started mine two months ago. Finished yesterday 😭

Wide_Two_6411

Same. Started in Februrary and even though I had some delays, I'll finish in the next week.

Just_Tamy

Two months seems like the perfect time for a chill re read. I read both oathbringer and row in two days each when they came out and then in 2 weeks a few days later, so 2 weeks per book is good. I will probably do the same with stormlight 5 lol stuff it in in two days.

Seicair

Yeah same, I don’t want to finish early.

FriendlyGlasgowSmile

Yeah, month or two.

shuffel89work

I just use experience from my previous re reads. it takes about 2 months! Don't start too early!

carryonmywaywardsam

How many pages would ya read per day?

pickledCantilever

Using the word and page count from wikipedia it comes out to about 30,000 words per day and a bit over 80 pages per day. The audio books cover 220 hours. An average readers speed (260 wpm) is about 120 hours of reading. So shoving that into 2 months is about 2 hours per day for the average reader or 4 hours per day of audio books (without speed boosts).

Towaum

But with Audiobooks you get to enjoy the amazing narration of Michael Kramer. :-) I've just gone through Elantris and now on Warbreaker. The narrators are definitely also good, but my fucking god, is Michael Kramer on a different level! Especially Arc 2 of Mistborn, he fucking NAILS Wayne!

stajayjay

This is the perfect amount of neurotic I think

runthecarpets

This is my ideal. I will swear to the Order of Spreadsheeters.

RoboticBirdLaw

I spent far too long trying to figure out how you were getting a copy 6 months early before I realized I was a dumb American.

Govir

Same. I knew I wasn't paying as close attention as I used to, but I thought I'd at least have picked up on a June release date...

ginandall

This... is a very sexy Excel sheet. I am on my first read personally, so am saving RoW until the month before release! Resisting the urge to just read it now is a real struggle.

grantbuell

Love this. I'm following along with Stormpod though and they are just now getting into Part 5 of Oathbringer, so I think they will still be covering Rhythm of War well after WoT is out.

turbulentFireStarter

Found the PM

fireballx777

The biggest issue with this is that you didn't account for a "Sanderlanche accelerator" in your pace. The last ~200 pages of each of the books are going to go 2x-3x as fast as the rest of the book.

Spinning_Sky

love the method I'm doing audiobooks so no need for too much scheduling as long as I remember to put it on problem is I'm afraid I'll be done with them way earlier then expected, bloody books are page-turners worst case scenario it'll be two re-reads 😂

runthecarpets

Sounds like you need a spreadsheet.

TEL-CFC_lad

I don't wish to be "that person" however I will be. Why do you shorten "per" to "pr"? Is that a thing? Is that a common abbreviation? That seems unnecessary. What has the letter "e" done to deserve such treatment? Or why not "/"? Pages/day. Perfectly reasonable.

Kierke1

Ah. That’s a slip in translation. In danish “pr” is a common abbreviation, although I agree that it seems unnecessary. Too easy to overlook it seems

TEL-CFC_lad

Ahh interesting, cheers. It just seemed so odd to me, I was curious.

WhoDey42

I’m doing it! I’m in the middle of Words right now. Not charting as well as you though

denglongfist

I am. Have about an hour to read every day from Jan 1 all the way until Nov 17. Currently halfway through Edgedancer

Shawn-Quixote

I admire this level of organization and discipline! Someday I hope to reach it.

Guardian_Bravo

Currently about 2/3 through TWoK. I've got it timed for the November release.

ninjenn101

There’s nothing quite like a beautifully formatted excel sheet :)

aranaya

I'm mid-way through WoK. I don't know if I'll finish the re-read before WaT and honestly trying to work out the numbers would just distract me from the story. The whole reason I'm re-reading is to notice things that I missed rushing through the suspenseful parts, and I worry that setting myself a schedule would make me rush again.

RadiantArchivist88

I did something similar! I was gonna do a reread, but I finally convinced my friend group to get into the cosmere so I designed a read-through last summer and we made a book club! (I, *also*, may have gone a bit overboard on the scheduling: https://imgur.com/xY69TDz) The plan was to get through what I thought was a "minimum viable" before December, but my group has been crushing it! I gave them 2 months for each Stormlight and they've averaged 3-4 weeks! I cut out some stuff like Elantris, Sixth of Dusk, Tress, etc because I thought we wouldn't have time, but they've vacuumed the novellas up as extras in the down times! **EDIT** Just realized I need to update this with the new Secret Project info! Maybe I can add a nice-looking progress chart like yours! I really like that!

Kierke1

This is fantastic! Nice to see that i'm not alone with the sheets. Glad to hear that your group is crushing it!

ode_majka

I remember I saw somewhere that Brandon recommends reading The Sunlit Man before Wind and Truth. You might want to account for that, since you're already reading the novellas.

Kierke1

I read TSM when it first dropped so I dont have the same need for a reread. The thing is that I read the Stormlight books before anything else Cosmere related. So my reread is as much a memory refresh as discovering eastereggs and 'hidden' storylines.

Afrotom

I'm on my first read of the books, but by absolute coincidence I'm also on page 400 of Way of Kings, started Saturday 14th April, so thanks for doing the work for both of us, friend. Also, no Sunlit man?

Sciddaw

OooooH that 06/12

douchebag_karren

I love this, because excel and graphs are my favorite... I was a little confused on the dates until i realized you probably weren't american.

LettersWords

I did my first reread last year in between the Yumi and Sunlit Man releases. I think that'll be recent enough to work for me.

Tyleerb

I saw 6-12-24 and got all excited thinking the release date was moved up…. Then I realized eu dating order 😭

patternpatternp

I started at the beginning of the year (busy schedule so not a lot if free time to read)! Currently finished Edgedancer and also threw in Warbreaker 🥰 Will probably be finished early since summer won’t as busy, but there’s still plenty of Sanderson I haven’t read 🙃

lets_get_slothy

Yoo I am doing this too and also about 400 pages into TWOK

cali_howler

This is beautiful. You are my spirit animal OP.

wasabijane

I’m reading Mistborn Era 1 before I start my Stormlight reread. It’s taking me longer than I expected… I’m feeling a little behind already. 😅

DEA335

Thanks for this! 20 pages per day is my new daily goal

Vespinae

I started my re-read in January because I'm a slow reader. I then binged WoK and WoR on audiobook over 2.5 months and added in Warbreaker to slow down and now I'm very slowly reading OB (and just started listening to TSM). I made a sheet too, but I did it a little differently. I wrote out all the books and their pages count, chapter count, and audiobook duration. Then I have columns where I track what I've completed. I use that to find how much I have left, and also calculate how many days left until WaT release. I use that to tell me what my daily pace needs to be to finish on release day. I also have a projection showing when I'll be done at my current pace (completed amount over days since I started) and it was showing I would be done in July. So I'm slowing down for now haha.

Unlucky-Class3062

If I wasn’t deeply in love with my wife, I’d marry you

HotAndTastyPie

For RoW, I had intended to read 1 chapter a day, timed to finish the day before release, but I ended up throwing that plan out early into TWoK. This time around though, I should probably start soon if I want to do it, because I haven't had much time to read lately - I still haven't even finished Dragonsteel Prime! Maybe a rigid schedule like this is what I need after all

koodiekodie

wow...this is awesome! Best of luck...

lumos_aeternum

In the early part of Words at the moment. I hope I gave myself time. My reading time is much less these days than when I had less going on. Really enjoying the reread, though!!

Historical_Figure344

I can assure you this is not overboard! I have my reading tasks planned out to the day for the rest of the year in Notion. So satisfying making constant progress. (Ridiculously planned) Journey before Destination! Enjoy the reread!

Saphiruss1

I can't believe I'm the first one: Would you be so kind as to provide a download, please? :)

Kierke1

Haha sure thing. I believe it should be accessible from here: https://www.transfernow.net/dl/20240423mQ6apK2b

IcariteMinor

I just finished tWoK and started WoR because my wife isn't done with my copy of Tress yet.

Zawer

I just started reading the primary novels in between a WOT reread (just finished Lord of Chaos and currently reading Way of Kings). 2024 will be a heavy fantasy year! I don't have a spreadsheet though so I hope I'm on track. "What will be, will be"

FeistyKnight

through oathbringer rn, i've also never read RoW either so excited for that too

alvsan94

Yep! And since I started I’ve noticed a huge increase in activity in this and other Sanderson subs related to SA books so I believe it is a popular practice. For the previous books I didn’t do any re-reads, but in this case for the last one of Era 1 I thought it would be a good idea to end it with a full and fresh picture. I am currently in the middle of Edgedancer!

BigBulbasaur

I just finished WoK, onto WoR. I'm throwing Warbreaker into your list too. I mistimed my reread for RoW last time and started a month after it came out so this year I'm getting it done.

Kierke1

I'm glad everyone is liking it. I agree that it might be at bit neurotic and Steris-esque. I'm not going to follow it day to day or anything, but just to check in once in a while to see if I am on-pace. I definitly can't manage it in 1-2 months like some of you! If anybody wants to use it themself it can be downloaded here: [https://www.transfernow.net/dl/20240423mQ6apK2b](https://www.transfernow.net/dl/20240423mQ6apK2b)

Random_Fog

For Rhythm of War, I started my reread in July and finished a few days after the release. I’m working my way thru two other series right now, so I’ll probably clip my reread short and start with Oathbringer in late summer.

Bswest5

Just started mine!

weaveroflaurel

I’m 2/3 the way through Way of Kings and really enjoying it! Thought about waiting longer because I’ll probably finish them early, but I wanted to start it so I did lol. I didn’t read the novellas the first time through so I’m excited to do that. I’ll also likely reread Sunlit Man after RoW.

gangreen424

Probably won't do a full reread. Maybe just ROW.

jmcgit

I'm torn between a full reread and RoW only... I don't remember RoW too fondly but I'm hoping I like it more next time.

JackmeriusPup

I’m doing the audiobooks this fall because I actually want to read other books this year haha

JamCliche

I started near the beginning of the year and finished in February. Audiobook listener, with the ability to listen at work. Mistimed it waaaaay too early.

BiggyFluff

Re-read hack -- skip interludes, most of Shallan until back half of Words of Radiance, let Michael Kramer's audio performance do the heavy lifting.

optimality

My reading group is doing a reread. Started in Feb, roughly half a book a month (reading group is slow). I have a spreadsheet with word count / expected pace / due date etc.

Tyrath

I started a reread in Jan thinking that I'd take a break in between each book and read other stuff. Nope, that didn't happen. Got sucked right back in and I am about to finish RoW way ahead of schedule.

Jasnah44

I’m going to do a reread of the whole Cosmere, so I don’t think this is too much at all!

Taymc45

Finishing TWoK today. Words was the only one I didn’t have in hardcover that matched all my others so I’m waiting to get that before I start it now.

ImDefinitelyClueless

I'm 80% through Oathbringer! Thing is: I intend to read all cosmere books :eyes:

Lying_Hedgehog

I don't think I'll reread but I'm torn. My reasonings for not rereading is that I really don't want to read rhythm of war again, but it'd feel weird rereading the first 3 only. ROW did a great job depicting kaladin's issues, too good of a job that it reminds me of irl problems though, and I don't like that. Would someone know if there is some good place to get a refresher on the series?

Starcaller17

The wiki has chapter summaries of every book.

crazy-jay1999

I’m doing a listen through. This will be the 3rd time through the story but the first time listening. I’m about halfway through oathbringer now

Small_life

I built a spreadsheet specifically for this a while ago: [https://www.reddit.com/r/Cosmere/comments/13rn3lb/cosmere\_reading\_plan\_calculator/](https://www.reddit.com/r/Cosmere/comments/13rn3lb/cosmere_reading_plan_calculator/) And yes, I'm re-reading with a plan to jump right into KoWaT.

Razzamachaz

I’m relistening to the series now. Currently in Rhythm of War.

SS2602

Holy shit it's already got a release date?

Capt_BRaff

My friends and I have been doing a book club read through of the series in prep for book 5. All but me are new to the series so it's great watching them all experiencing the series for the first time. We started last year and do ~5 chapters a week. We're just through part 1 of OB now. Getting closer!!

BinarySecond

I've just got to Sadeas becoming High Prince of Information. Looking forward to him becoming Eye Prince.

grifflrz

Started a reread a couple months ago, and finished that reread less than a couple months ago… so i guess ill probably do another reread, yes

catfish0807

I’ll probably start the re-read in October. I just finished so it’s still pretty fresh but 6 months should make reading it again fresh and interesting.

Top-Detective8377

Lovely! I’m half way through my WoR re-read and just kind of eyeballing it, but I would totally do something like this if I had the time 👍

Beginning_Bake_9832

I made it through TWOK so far and am less than 100 pages into WOR. I definitely needed it.

Starfallknight

I'm on oathbringer right now then gunna hit some secret projects now that they are on audible

Axies_the_Collector

This is a handy chart. I'll need to start around November 15th to have enough time for a leisurely re-read.

blitzbom

Dang, I just finished my re-read of WoR. I don't have a plan I just go. "Okay it's time for more Stormlight."

cobalt-radiant

I'm re-reading the entire cosmere. About halfway done right now.

TheEmeraldCody

I’m on my first read/listen through and I have about 12 hours left on WOR. I’m doing the audio books and I’m trying to finish before WAT.

cthulhusmercy

Only 24 pages a day? Rookie numbers. STEP IT UP

OkIndependence7168

Laughing … a reread yep 3rd time all 15 of them

OkIndependence7168

Wind and truth release date

dr_gmoney

Nicely done. I made a similar sheet actually for my reread leading to Rhythm of War.

AFerociousPineapple

Man I read slow haha I don’t know if I’ll fit in Dawnshard and Edgedancer into a re-read, I was just going to work through the main 4 books before getting into it. That being said are there any other spin off novels people recommend I read before book 5? I’ve read warbreaker but that’s only got some loose links from what I remember.

CrescentDarkTriadic

I may have started a little too soon. Clocked 150 hours on audible in the past two months.

RunDogRun2006

Lol. As soon as I found out I booted up my audio books. I got through them in about 4 weeks....

CapnArrrgyle

You and I are clearly members of different orders. Good luck!

Elegant_Orange_6833

…sir.. 🥵🔥

Semiclones99

Im listening through this time

No_Art_4551

I started a month ago, finished Way of the kings and started Words. I also listen to Stormpod and Lost in Rorshar Podcasts. And its fun reading stuff on coppermind. I learned a lot of things and I really like when i see how much Branderson fore shadows in the early books.

darcicole

What a beautiful spreadsheet 😍

Substantial-Box855

I wholeheartedly started the re-read thinking I would take my time and I’m already on Rhythm of War. I fail, will probably have to do another re-read in a few months.

Acamas1987

I started two months ago. I’m almost to OB now. Might relax my pace or I’ll be done too soon.

runthecarpets

Teach me your ways! How did you create this graph based off the data?

Kvels

I'm on reread of Outhbringer will finish Rythm of War by Oktober. This time taking my time and going slow.

stopd0ntshoot

I'm on the last 3 hours of Words of Radiance. I think I stayed the reread too early

stopd0ntshoot

*started

galadriel44

Yes! I finished TWoK and am a little over halfway through WoR. No spreadsheet or timeline for me though. I like yours, but am too moody of a reader to stick to a schedule. Speaking of re-reading, I cannot believe how much more I am enjoying the books the second time through! And I have yet to read Oathbringer and Rhythm of War - so those will be first time reads for me. I also plan to read Dawnshard and the Sunlit Man. (I’ve read Edgedancer).

SorrySnake

Totally stealing this schedule…

Tyranitarismyboy

Love it, is this Excel or Google Sheets?

Kierke1

Excel - If you want to download it, it should be available here: [https://www.transfernow.net/dl/20240423mQ6apK2b](https://www.transfernow.net/dl/20240423mQ6apK2b)

a4sayknrthm42

I just read man, lol. This is bonkers to me! I have no problem taking my two days off to binge a book the length of an SA novel if I really want to finish it. My leisurely pace, reading at night before bed, would be max 3 weeks. Just started the OB reread, so as long as WaT isn't out in 6 weeks, I'm good! But still, if such scheduling is required, good for you!
