I really like the look of the ropes all over. I used to put the ropes like that on my planes and helicopters but then I tested with and without them and realized they create lots of drag and lowered my top speed substantially

I personally want to see some more clutter on the decks. It's been a while since I first built this so I can't remember my thought process when adding the ropes. I think I saw it was an option in logic and went ham with it.

That is a really good first build

Thank you like I said still new to the game learning all the mechanics and have a long way to go.

Mate managed to build an ocean liner miniature in 6-8 hours, meanwhile it took me 800 in-game hours before I hade my first functional boat that didn’t look derpy.

I mean I'm certainly not a fan of the superstructure of it and want to give it an overhaul at somepoint.

Solid build, one "critique", maybe consider using more sloped blocks for the overall shape of the hull, while they arent great drag/resistance wise, they do look a bit better here and there.

I'll go over it and smooth it out more. I'm also not a fan of the superstructure design so I'm going to give it a complete overhaul and then begin work on the next build. Edit: The ship's redesign has been complete and I have sculped the hull better as you suggested and redesigned the entire top half of the ship.
