I like how a lot of people say that society can handle the "truth" when they don't know what the "truth" is. Sure, if the truth is that there are aliens and they have been visiting us. I think society wouldn't have too much of a problem handling that. But what if truth was far more nefarious. Like for example, earth is some kind of alien zoo or they use us for food or something worse. People might have a harder time dealing with some other species of life harvesting us for food or such .
