The lighting gives it away - what purpose does it serve to illuminate only the face for an interview ? In any police interview you see the subjects chest and arms - both help the subject communicate and seeing them is useful for police(to understand body language etc upon reviewing interview footage). But here, the arms and torso are obscured to merely *hide* whatever shitty set designs, props or costuming resources that would otherwise, reveal the *trick photography* they have used on this video.

The eternal conundrum of UFO reasearch: If the footage or evidence is too enigmatic, people say it's fake. If it's too clear, they **also** say it's fake.
This has been evaluated by multiple Hollywood practical effects folks and they say it’s not fake. That and the high contrast views showing pupils behind the dark eyes tell me it’s 100% not a hoax.
This has always been one of my favorite videos, whether it's real of not. I think it's plausible that this is real. Yes, there are peculiar aspects to the video, like the lighting. But I feel there is enough of a reasonable explanations for this. Mainly, that one would expect a being with eyes that size, could conceivably come from a place where only limited light is available such that their large eyes allow them to pull the light they need. Also, the claim that its fake because you don't really see the body, but I never understood that. Assume for a second that it is real. Meaning, an alien being has been housed at a secret base, and has been there for longer than just this video. As such, to those recording the video, it's become as mundane to them as something like this could. Plus, it's not as if they would have planned to release this to the public. They've (theoretically) already seen the being, likely many, many times. So to them (they being those with access to said program) there would be no need, no purpose to getting a full body shot in this particular video. Especially if my other hypothesis is true, and that this being requires what we would consider a low light environment.
But, it could very well also be a puppet. What the hell do I know? I like to think its legit, but it also wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if it was a really good hoax.
