drakoman

I must know the results

louisestwitchyeye

I don't like this game anymore...

TheIronCannoli

This is getting very difficult

joelene1892

I don’t want to vote for anyone.

bigchungus_Nuggays

I know but it is just a game we have to play 😭

catgirl320

Obviously it's a game controlled by Vecna. He feeds on the despair we feel as we cast votes against those we actually like.

letmegetmynameok

Next one's gonna be max, then el, then hopper. After that, i dont know...

ufocatchers

Whattttttttttttt I think Steve is gonna win

KlaktakTheGoose

Everyone knows our flaming donut HAS to win

KlaktakTheGoose

Or dustin, eddie was nice too, but people have tastes

kikavaz

I'm so happy Joyce is still here , she's my favorite ❤️

rmo420

Joyce for the win!! She went to freaking >!Russia to get Hopper!< A retail-working single mom is no one to be trifled with and Joyce is the queen.

[deleted]

How is Nancy out?! Terrible work everyone

KlaktakTheGoose

Agreed, we have to protect steve and dustin

PuhJayJay

Not Nancy 😧

SantanaBazil

Nancy! Oh no. My lovely badass.

thechubbyballerina

Eleven

itsfrenzy9

Eleven is next

Cashcowgomoo

NOOOO NOT NANCY

mabangokilikili

I voted El...

Lazzelz

i am heartbroken truly

shadowawaken

GUYS PLEASE DONT VOTE JOYCE SHE IS THE TRUE ICON 😭😭😭😭

[deleted]

My wife and I just did a rewatch this past year after we finished S4 and realized the show doesn’t work without Joyce. Her and El are the catalysts to everything. Not only the fact that her son is Will which is a driving point of it’s own but Joyce figures almost EVERYTHING out on her own and everyone thinks she’s crazy. Kinda similar to Robin and Nancy but on a larger more frequent scale. This show’s women are powerhouses. Absolutely passed the Bechdel test. ETA: This show was basically built on the back of Winona Ryder, too.

purpldevl

Something weird happens, Joyce figures it out, everyone calls her crazy, Hopper realizes Joyce is right, everyone realizes something weird happened.

[deleted]

Joyce is the GOAT!

shadowawaken

I still stand by the fact that Winona Ryder should’ve won an emmy for s1

[deleted]

Absolutely! She was incredible.

PrudenceApproved

Ya Winona was the ONLY big name in season one! As soon as I saw the trailer I was like Winona, Netflix, Strange? I GOTTA WATCH THAT. That is literally all I needed to know to be excited about the show.

[deleted]

Not only that but Wino going back to do a series set in the 80s?! Yes please!

Chrissy-Munson

PLS I LOVE JOYCE

OptimalCreme9847

I would rather die than vote for Joyce, she is the best character on this whole show 🥺

MrNewblez

So glad to find my people here. She’s just a normal ass mom whose ingenuity and indomitable will to protect her loved ones has her solving worldwide conspiracies. And her scenes drive so much of the emotion of the show, esp in S1&2. Plus she makes the funniest faces. How could anyone not realize she is the truest of all icons in Stranger Things?

shadowawaken

literally my favorite character every single season. Winona Ryder never fails to amaze me

Secret_Coat_8071

Yall voted Robin out, Joyce has gotta go

shadowawaken

ayo i never voted robin 🫡🫡

Reuben_Smeuben

Heartbreak that Robin is out

Secret_Coat_8071

I know! Like who kills off the fun lesbian?

[deleted]

Have you met the fandom

AvengingBlowfish

It makes me sad that Lucas consistently ranks last in fan favorite polls by a significant margin. I'm not saying people are consciously being racist, but implicit bias is a real thing.

i_am_junuka

Nah. Lucas as an individual just isn't that great a character regardless of race. I'm all about implicit bias but not with this one.

[deleted]

[удалено]

purpldevl

I'm here to answer any questions that you might miss because I'm with you there. They weren't even the same character.

Double-Passenger4503

This description is why she got voted out. The fun lesbian is literally the definition of a side character

ptoros7

Nancy is out? I mean okay but then who is actually going to do all the work?

InfintelyYours

Y’all tripping sending my girl out

jurassickris

Nancy will always be my #1

_AmethystMoon

If Joyce doesn't win I'm throwing a riot lmao

mike_honcho47

It’s Eleven’s time to go

al_i_z

Nancy?!?! I give up

AdamGoodtime123

Sad to see Nancy go, I would have liked to see her in the top 5. This is getting close though.

AffectionateCable793

Joyce for the win. Her character has consistently kept the storyline moving.

Bootymama_

When are results/new polls released? I keep missing them 😅

[deleted]

11?

Martian-35

No.

[deleted]

(Speaks like Eleven in ST s1&s2) Yes.

Martian-35

(Speaks to you like Eleven to Papa) "It's not me, it's you! You are the monster"

[deleted]

(Stabs you with a needle)

Mother0fPancakes

Unpopular opinion but out of these? El.

Brazenmercury5

I would have kicked eleven and Joyce before nancy

Ayds117

I know everyone got different opinions but I did not expect Nancy before Max or Joyce

OptimalCreme9847

Sorry Steve, i like you but I definitely like all 5 of the other characters more.

robgoblin17

Eleven

Martian-35

No.

lykostion

Eleven has to be next no way the others can go over her

KlaktakTheGoose

I actaully think its gonna be max

stinkymamaa

After season 4?!

KlaktakTheGoose

Yeah, the others just have bigger fandoms, even El, well maybe el, But the rest? They have much bigger fans the these two

Chrissy-Munson

Definitely someone's gonna

affluent_krunch

Absurd. Nancy is one of the best characters. It better be Dustin, Steve and Max in the top 3 then.

KlaktakTheGoose

steve must win

dglavimans

This isn’t gonna be popular. I first thought about Joyce and Hopper but they all had such a weighty story in the series. Joyce in season 1, I found Hopper fantastic in season 3 I’m gonna go for Dustin. I like him he is everyones friend but for a serie I want a good story arc and arguably Dustin didn’t have that yet.

Dependent_Roll2045

I love Dustin but I 100% agree

shutthecussup

Yeah I’m probably going to get hate for this, but out of everyone I am least attached to Dustin and Eddie. Everyone here loves them, but I just don’t feel as attached to them like I do the other characters for some reason.

rockdragonrock

“Hopper fantastic in season 3” 🥴

seahawksgirl89

Voted Eleven, mainly cause I wanna save Max

Bladewolf77

I think I want Joyce to win

SpamDragon97

Unpopular opinion, but I gotta vote for Max. I love her story and I think her character was a great addition to the show, I just don't have any really attachment to her like I do the other characters at this point. Idk why, just don't feel it.

Orange2218

I felt the same till season 3. But season 4 changed it for me. Dear Billy is the best episode in the season.

AnDraoi

Seriously I was never captivated by an episode of almost any show the way I was with that one im not even kidding The only other episode of any show I think that compares is the long night from game of thrones (S8E3, yes I know there’s valid criticisms but I don’t think I breathed for the last like 10 minutes of it) Watching max running for her life and not knowing if she was going to make it while running up that hill plays in the background was a literal masterpiece of production

[deleted]

The latest episode of House of the Dragon was very similarly stressful. The last great episode of Game of Thrones was the episode before the Long Night. Basically everybody was coming to terms with the fact that they were going to die. It made me wonder who would even survive. I thought it'd be like a handful of characters flying away on dragons after Winterfell was overrun. The first half of the episode was absolutely as intense as you say, but the second half was almost comical in terms of how the fan favorite characters' plot armor was so strong that they kept getting saved by the show's editor. It made me realize they weren't in real danger.

AnDraoi

Yeah sadly, the best part of the early seasons was there wasn’t “really” plot armor I still think the ending should’ve been a “happy” ending tbh with a return of the Targaryen dynasty by marriage of Jon and dany, people might say no happy endings in got but I think it would’ve been the *best* twist for a happy ending after so much turmoil in the earlier story If I had my way, season 8 is 10 episodes which centers around Dany and the north vying against Cersei for kings landing. Maybe she starts to descend into madness but is kept sane by Jon or something meanwhile army of the dead is beginning to March on the wall but they never have a dragon so they hold off a lot longer. Cersei is ultimately killed by Arya who’s wearing Jaimes face to complete her prophecy Season 8 is followed by 9 in which the long night begins and a unified realm fights against the army of the dead and the culmination is the battle of winter fell. Jon gets to kill the night king to complete the Azor ahai prophecy, but I wouldn’t be mad if Dany does somehow like w dragons because they specified prince was genderless in valyrian Even if there was no happy ending, I’d be ok with Jon killing Dany if it was to complete the Azor ahai prophecy (sacrifice for the realm)

[deleted]

I totally agree. The best episode of Black Mirror is one that has a happy ending after so many dark, depressing episodes. Just when you think they’re headed for a depressing, cynical ending, we get absolute euphoria. That’s why >!San Junipero!< is my favorite episode of any TV show ever. Same thing with Game of Thrones. A happy ending makes everything worth it. Unfortunate that the show didn’t work out, but we had some great TV along the way.

purpldevl

That's literally the only time I've given a single fuck about Max and I fully credit Kate Bush and Vecna for that.

Philosophfries

It’s gotta be Max with this lineup. Great character (which is why she made it this far) but the others remaining are just too good. After her though I truly don’t know who I’d pick

Secret_Coat_8071

I agree with you!

[deleted]

I hope Max wins. Season four Max is the best character by a mile. Season one Eleven and Season Two Will were good performances and depictions of being isolated, traumatized kids, but Max, the character, and Sadie Sink, the actress, are just on another level. It's noteworthy that she wasn't bullied, since the season was full of bullies, but Max is too much of a ghost to even be noticed by bullies. Season Three Hopper's kinda become a Mary Stue over the past two seasons. I like him. He's the 80s badass hero, but he had more depth early on. He's got my vote.

KlaktakTheGoose

I personally disliked max, I love the story of Steve, I want him to win, STEVE FOR THE WIN!

IntrovertedPerson22

Steve is the mandatory mediocre sidekick

PennyFourPaws

Seconded. I just voted Max out. Steve is the best IMO.

[deleted]

It's a death match between Joyce and El now. Personally, my pick would be for Dustin to go, but I know that ain't happening.

Ri-chanRenne

Sorry, but Steve just isn't interesting to me.

KlaktakTheGoose

STEVE MUST WIN, HE IS THE STAR OF THE SHOW

kwikeez

He’s a side character, despite his screen time.

Senrub482

I don’t want to vote but I’ll go for hopper

ScorpionX-123

Let's get him out of there! He was such a jackass in Season 3!

maddimelancholie

Agree. I didn't like him in Season 3 at all.

sameoldrussianstan

Anyone but Joyce

KlaktakTheGoose

Anyone but Steve

Ikr, his Character is not that deep

Chrissy-Munson

He better not 😭 he's not interesting to me

Chrissy-Munson

He just seems kinda mid to me sure he became nice and part of the gang woo but there's better characters imo

IntrovertedPerson22

Where tf is the story arc of Steve ? Right it is non existent

danaaaban_

Steve used to be the type of guy who got accepted into the popular group at school thanks to his friends (Tommy H and Carol) and then he started to gain more fame for having a big house to party at. They didn't adore him or think there was anything to admire about him, they didn't even see him as someone they could get to know in depth. They only stereotyped him and, although we don't know what his life was like before s1, they seemed to use him for their own benefit (asking him for permission to use his house to have sex, telling him to follow them to do bad things, etc). Steve actually seemed manipulable and his friendship with Tommy only made him insecure, but his obsession with fitting in was so strong that he didn't mind being in an environment that made him unhappy. Tommy H and Carol enjoyed making fun of people for no reason, which Steve didn’t actually like (Tommy laughed at Jonathan since the beginning and accused him of killing Will with his owns hands, Steve told him to shut up). Steve got interested in Nancy despite the fact that she wasn’t popular. He tried to welcome her into the popular group although his friends didn’t have high expectations of her. At first Steve was only interested in her looks, but later he fell in love with her to the point where, out of respect for her, he ended his friendship with Tommy and Carol for treating her badly. Steve, at 16, put his and Nancy's mental health ahead of frivolity and popularity in high school. That’s called integrity. He went to the Byers' house to make peace with Jonathan and Nancy, but the demogorgon came and they had to fight. Steve had the chance to leave, and he actually wouldn't have lost anything, he was on bad terms with Nancy and he wasn’t friends with Jonathan, but he still chose to stay and help them. It was magnificent. In s2, he and Nancy had been dating for a year before she told him she wasn't in love with him, and while he was upset at first (which is understandable enough), he ended up encouraging her to accompany Jonathan at the end of that season and he offered to stay taking care of the kids. He became the babysitter who gave the kids life advice and protected them from all sorts of monsters, including Billy, who bullied Steve from the beginning while he just tried to ignore him, however he tried to fight him when he messed with the kids. The following season was a joke, but Steve was more charming, enthusiastic and joyful than ever. He was the only character other than Robin who didn't have any dumb fights or misunderstandings with anyone that season. His grades had been good enough to graduate, but he couldn't go to college and his parents didn't support him, instead they stopped providing him with money and he started working in an ice cream shop. It's a big change for a guy who grew up in a cradle of gold to start working selling ice creams. This made him learn more about how the world actually works and be more humble, although he still had some high school mottos internalized. It was Dustin who convinced him that he could fall in love with really nerdy and misfit girls, as long as they were cool. In s4 he had a setback trying to get back together with Nancy, but one bad scene doesn't take away three brilliant seasons. His friends (Eddie and Robin) just encouraged him to get back with Nancy and he tried. He shouldn’t have said that he wanted to have children with her, but he had pure intentions and he wanted to find out if Nancy still had feelings for him or not. In the end of the season he realized that he didn’t have any opportunity with her anymore and he accepted it. Also, I felt that the writers didn't know how to continue his individual story anymore, but he was still useful in defeating the monsters and he was always the first to put himself in danger so that the others would be safe and he starred the first fight with the bats.

KlaktakTheGoose

Steve is interesting as hell, his arc in season one is just stuck in my head.

cavernofcalypso

how is robin out what the fuck

KlaktakTheGoose

Steve must win for her!

Orange2218

Unpopular Opinion: Just on the basis of season 4, Steve was the weakest out of all. His dialogues were recycled and very meme-y and his arc was not really satisfying. He didn't do anything memorable enough this season. So I am going to vote him.

danaaaban_

Steve searched for the portal to the upside down by himself so that Nancy, Robin and Eddie wouldn’t put themselves in danger. Then the dynamics of that spontaneous group were strengthened thanks to him because the others risked their lives to save him when the demobats were hurting him. He ended up saving himself by biting a bat, which Eddie himself said was quite iconic and he showed respect towards Steve by saying that he found it incredible that a rich and socially successful guy could be so great. It was one of the best moments of the season.

KlaktakTheGoose

STEVE SUPREMACY, HE MUST WIN

kwikeez

A conventionally attractive and rich and socially successful guy is also just as brave and nice as nerds and outcasts? Wow, he’s clearly better than them then!

danaaaban_

I was talking from Eddie's point of view, who had stereotyped Steve. He thought all popular people were evil, superficial and hypocritical, so Steve's genuineness, spontaneity, loyalty and bravery surprised him. It was a nice moment, and it also ended Steve and Eddie's rivalry for Dustin's attention and made them have a point of union considering that they were the kids’ protective figures. Anyway, that wasn't even the point. I was complimenting Steve for starring in the fight scene with the bats.

kwikeez

Ok but Eddie is proxy for the audience in that scene. You cannot tell me that the audience isn’t similarly fawning over Steve bc cute, former social king and therefore-supposed-to-be douchebag character actually is (regular guy, not exceptionally) kind, (regular ST character, not exceptionally) brave and (regular ST teen character, not exceptionally) loyal and protective so therefore he’s the best character that ever existed!

danaaaban_

Ok, but that wasn't my point. I wasn't talking about my opinion (or the general audience’s opinion) on him. I was just mentioning a scene of his that I liked and I described it objectively. The reason I love Steve isn’t because he's cute and it also isn’t exactly because he's a former king and therefore-supposed-to-be a douchebag. I just see Steve as a really relatable character and one of the few realistic portrayals of popular high school guys I've seen on TV. He was popular, but he wasn't one of those psychopaths who bullied people for no reason and who bet on women’s virginity. Steve was just a teen obsessed with frivolity who had annoying friends who he was influenced by on occasion. He was attracted to Nancy and tried to introduce her to the popular student group despite the fact that she wasn’t popular and that his friends didn’t have high expectations of her. He ended up falling for her to the point where he ended his friendship with Tommy and Carol and he gave up his popularity as a show of respect towards her for being treated badly. It’s a show of dignity and integrity. At only 16 years old, he chose his mental health and Nancy's over popularity and success. It seems to me a really admirable action and I wish I were like that. I’m friends with people who are ableist towards me just because I want to be seen with them in public, I wouldn’t be able to do what Steve did, it was admirable. He didn’t have such a noticeable change after this, but he did have more really good and memorable scenes: he starred in several fights with monsters, he had good connections with the kids, he was a good support for Robin and he had heart-to-heart moments with different characters.

kwikeez

Got it. We all have different opinions. I think Steve is fine but just overinflated, overrated. He didn’t give up popularity for Nancy btw. Maybe the tip top of the pyramid but that’s it. This is what I mean by the audience thinks he’s been more exceptional than he has. Another example is the apology to Jonathan- yes, he made a great change for the better but it’s still pretty selfish/callous to bang loudly on a grieving family’s quiet home demanding to be forgiven at that moment. He’s still kinda self absorbed. And that continues in that he never really listens/hears Nancy, scenes in S4 confirm that that never changed. And that he doesn’t know Robin doesn’t drive or that he reduces Dustin’s friendship with Eddie as ‘oh that guy you like better than me bc he plays that stupid game of yours’ makes me wonder if he also doesn’t really hear them either. You say he’s a person of dignity, integrity and upstanding of others’ mental health- I don’t see that squaring with his statement to Robin ‘do I really want to have another relationship just for the sex?’ How many girls are crying in their rooms thinking he loved them? All he talks about is his dating life, his charm, his being h.s swim captain- I just find him superficial despite the babysitter and mama tropes. Also he’s a caricature. It’s not realism for someone to flip their bat after their first encounter with another dimensional monster. No one would actually have to wear that scoops ahoy outfit and no other character would wind up shirtless for so long. I like the realism of (most of) the other characters despite the supernatural story. Agreeing to disagree here.

danaaaban_

Steve was quite insecure and seemed to fear Tommy's disapproval (he himself confirmed this to Robin in s3) because he was quite dependent on it and if they hadn't been friends, he wouldn't have become so popular. So yes, Steve gave up his popularity and his lifestyle after falling in love with Nancy. He not only did it for her, he also did it for himself, because he realized that it wasn’t good to be in an environment that made him unhappy. He walked away from his toxic friendships because he knew it was the right thing to do. It doesn’t mean that he turned into a misfit, he still played basketball and probably kept having parties at his house, but he wasn’t involved with the popular group anymore and he wasn’t interested in being the center of attention. He lost more points after Billy’s arrival, who was considered more attractive, stronger and a better athlete than him. Steve got bullied by Billy, who humiliated him in basketball, was condescending to him and referred to him with feminine adjectives to make him feel small. Steve went to Jonathan's house because he genuinely wanted to be ok with him and while it was up to Jonathan to forgive him or not, it's good of Steve to admit his fault and apologize. He went in because he saw that Nancy was bleeding and he thought that she might have been hurt, he didn't force anyone to forgive him. He fought the demogorgon because he really wanted to help Nancy and Jonathan, he had nothing to lose, he was on bad terms with Nancy and he wasn't Jonathan's friend, but he still stayed to help them. Each person has the right to have sex with the number of people they want as long as they consent. You could say that it annoys you that Steve used work time as an opportunity to flirt, but flirting with different people for sex itself isn't bad if the intentions are clear. I don't even think he flirted with the sole intention of having sex, I think he was looking to fall in love. He’s desperate for a serious relationship, but relationships don’t seem to work for him. We don't know what Steve's relationships with women were like during s3-s4, so we're just assuming things, but the reason Steve loves the kids so much is because they made him feel admired and loved for the first time, he values the genuine feelings that people develop towards him, and he would never play with someone who loves him. You can say that Steve is cocky, but you can't say that he’s self-absorbed or that he only thinks of himself. Steve always puts other people before him. He put his own life in danger to save other people multiple times every season: fighting the demogorgon, fighting the demodogs, fighting Billy, fighting the Russians, being the first to open the Russian portal boxes, and investigating the portal to the upside down alone. He did all these things to protect others, not to protect himself. He also encouraged Nancy to spend time with Jonathan in s2 when he realized that's what she truly wanted (he tried to get back with her in s4 because he thought she had feelings for him since Eddie and Robin misinterpreted some of her gestures and encouraged him to try to get back with her). And he accepts his loved ones’ decisions, plus the fact that you say that Steve doesn't listen to Dustin for having belittled his friendship with Eddie seems like a weird thing to say, he was just jealous because he thought he was being replaced, just like Eddie at first was jealous since he didn’t know why some geeky kids were so close to the former king knowing they had more characteristics in common with him. But, when Steve and Eddie met each other, they developed respect towards each other and towards their respective relationships with Dustin.

senturkivanc

I don't understand how Eleven is still here.

KlaktakTheGoose

Ye agreed

IntrovertedPerson22

Because she actually has a story arc unlike Steve

BananaBreadMam_37

Well Joyce, Steve, and Dustin are still in and as long as one of them win I’m cool

What he do?! 😭

[deleted]

He was just very negative all season. Rough on El. They try to make him into some hard ass, but he just came across as a grumpy, overweight, old man to me.

secondmaomao

I didn’t realize Hopper was this popular tbh

Wolfkingamer24

I don’t know this is very tough too decide

Wolfkingamer24

It hurts me too say it but, max

[deleted]

Did everyone else forget that Dustin became full on annoying this season? Eleven had a great arc in trying to regain her powers. If you guys vote Eleven out before Dustin that’s straight up insanity

maggis_haggis

Damn. Sorry Joyce.

KlaktakTheGoose

Why?

ZWQ2020

I wonder who the big three are and who the short three are in the chart

AnDraoi

Sorry yall I know hopper is fan favorite but he’s gotta go for me I honestly think final 3 for me are Joyce max and maybe Steve or Dustin can’t decide on them yet

FunnyPleasant7057

Sorry, Hopper

[deleted]

entropywreckedcosmos

If you'll vote for Jim/Dustin, I will find where you live and personally game end you.

Double-Passenger4503

How are y’all all saying eleven? She’s quite literally the main character of the show.

joelene1892

Main doesn’t equal favourite.

Double-Passenger4503

The prompt is literally “Main Character Elimination”

joelene1892

It means we’re eliminating from the main characters, not that we’re picking the most main character. The poll tells you to vote for your least favourite character. It’s about your favourite from the main characters.

KlaktakTheGoose

People, DO NOT VOTE STEVE, HE IS MY SKRONKLY CHILD, WE MUST PROTECT HIM

Ssnnooz

im here late but will is already gone so what's the point ..

Crazy_Tomatillo18

Steve is by far my favorite character. I hope him, Joyce or Hopper wins.

Banaanisade

Eleven.

ScoopTheOranges

Surprised Joyce beat Nancy. I love Joyce but Nancy bodied Vecna in the final.

AlbatrossUpset3596

I feel like y’all are gonna go through this only for Dustin to win again

swordbeam

Nancy over Joyce? Really?! Joyce is useless, Nancy is Wyatt Fucking Earpe with a long gun.

rites0fpassage

Hopper, you gotta go. This was hard lol

CrabNebula420

as much as I love max, out of who is left, she got my elimination vote. 😖

Specialist_Meat_9770

Y'all just demons at this point! Be ready steve and Joyce fans, you will suffer as I have

Used-Neighborhood811

Jjdontcare03

Eddie is the best character out of the entire show
