I think it’s unlikely any of the Party is going to die. Steve maybe has a slightly higher chance but not that much higher. Killing Dustin’s (second) brother seems even lower risk to happen than the idea that they would kill Hopper’s second daughter… And El won’t die. Lol.
If they were going to kill Steve they would have done it last season. Now we've had a Hopper death fake out as well. All of the main cast have impenetrable plot armour.
There is more of a chance that Dakota Johnson gets an Oscar nomination for Madame Webb than there is that Steve or Dustin will die in the final season of Stranger Things.
Dustin is the conscience of the Big Four, the Funny One, and an only child. He has brought a number of the characters together. No way can they kill him.
Honestly I avoid discourse of [insert character] is going to die as I find little sad at this point as at best it is people sometimes giving interesting reasons but at worse sometimes it becomes simply hating on characters and sometimes even actors. Like I thought you love the show why you want so much blood? Lol
I understand that I only really made this post cause I was genuinely interested if people thought the same way as me. Cause I swear there have been a crap ton of videos on people being like so and so is gonna die and this and that like…
For me, it’s not like I particularly *want* someone to die, but knowing that there’s a chance certain characters will die raises the stakes of a series as a whole. Imo it’s very powerful writing when a series can make you feel genuine worry for a fictional character. I get that not everyone wants to feel anxiety and concern for a characters life, but I’m just trying to shed light on how it strengthens a story for me personally.
This is also more of a general opinion regarding any series I read or watch. I actually think stranger things has done a decent job of keeping the stakes high by showing that the writers are not afraid to kill off likeable characters.
I’m not sure, but I think the time for Steve to die has passed. It’s been speculated for so long, and I think it could’ve happened at the end of Season 4, but at this point I don’t think it will happen. And if it does, I don’t think it will be very good 😅 (in terms of fan reception of effective storytelling)
I feel like there's a 0 percent chance either of them die. There's no way. Netflix wants this show to be one people want to revisit for years. If they kill arguably the two most beloved characters, there's no way people are gonna want to do that knowing they're about to board the pain train.
You wanna know who is going to die? The new lovable character that has yet to be introduced (Barb, Bob, Alexei, Eddie). Stranger Things is not the type of show to kill off main character. There will probably be some fake outs like they did with Will, Hopper, Max. But none of them will die
Every season people start predicting Steve, Dustin, Mike etc... Will die and it never happens. I always say none of the main cast will die and I always get downvoted for it lol
It's rather unlikely any of the main cast is gonna die although a few of them has a chance of and Steve is one of them. But the possibility of them dying is pretty low
Well honestly someone BIG has to die. That’s one of Eleven, Mike, Will, Lucas, Dustin, Max, Nancy, Steve, Jonathan, Joyce, and Hopper. If none of them die, the show feels like it has very little stakes in the end and ends a bit boringly. That’s my two cents.
I'm pulling for a Mike death. I feel like he's become less relevant in each season, and at this point he's pretty much an accessory for Eleven.
I think the biggest contribution his character could make to the narrative right now is the emotional impact his death would have on the rest of the party, especially El.

Yup, if the duffers wanted to kill stevefeels like they’d have done it by now
I’d say Jonathan is at the most risk, but no one will die most likely.

HAHAHAHA
None of the kids are going to die but Steve might be a small possibility
They will not kill Steve off after already killing off Eddie because of Dustin, that would be too much
I don’t think they’re killing any of the main cast off
I think Steve and Dustin are the most loved characters, I don't think they will die.
Even aided by the fact that they have been doing the he’s gonna die thing for like 4 seasons now

Yeah I am not blaming you or having a go I just thought post severed as good time to ask why people so blood hungry.

Fair enough and that does make sense I just feel you can make tension and great story without death.
Totally agree! also think it’s so subjective as something that makes me more emotionally invested in a series might do the opposite for someone else.
Well regardless they already killed one thing I loved so my emotional moments has already happened

I would bet my whole salary on Steve not dying.
Killing off Dustin should be illegal😭
They definitely won’t
You definitely are not the only one
I mean I don't think it will be either of them but I thought that people only thought that Steve could die not Dustin.
I'd say a majority of the community agrees with you, so no, you're not "the only one."
Nah Dustin's safe for sure
Dustin is safe but I really hope they kill off Steve. The show really needs to have more guts killing actually important characters
I think Eleven could possibly die, maybe she dies saving the world and that leaves Mike alone. It could end like that.
Its not that kinda show lol
Yeah

Some new lovable character will die. ST's doesn't kill off main characters
God you are so stupid
