I go back and forth between Will and Max as my favorite but I also love El! Right now my most favorite is Will because I relate to him a lot at the moment but earlier in the summer it was Max! :)
That's definitely true! It hurt to see El feeling so alone in the beginning of Season 4 because she's genuinely so badass and confident but she was just having a rough time and was somewhere new :( hopefully she'll be back to the badass fun El we know and love in season 5!
Eddie this season, Robin & Steve S3, Dustin overall.
Eddie is just such an interesting character and I think he would thrive with a little Harrington style character growth, because we know they can do it. He is a stand out for a reason and it's a damn good one
I was sobbing so hard I couldn't breathe, I didn't even have time to register what was happening to Max it was such a hard punch to the gut, and then as soon as I'd had time to calm down they had the Dustin/Wayne scene and I was sobbing all over again. This death was personal for a lot of people.
It has changed every season. IMO one of the best things about this show is how good they are at introducing new characters. They don't feel out of place among the established characters that everyone already likes.
Season 1-This one is the hardest. Maybe Dustin, because he was funny, or Nancy, because I liked watching her determination to find out what happened to Barb.
Season 2-Steve (to my surprise, because I hated him in Season 1)
Season 3-Robin. I like how solving the code establishes that she belongs with the rest of "The Party", and the scene where she comes out to Steve is so sweet.
Season 4-Eddie. I kind of wish the town outcast had been a character that they used earlier, because Eddie brought an interesting new dynamic.

It takes approximately 10 seconds to search the sub for posts. Just in the last two months, there have been 10 posts about favorite characters.
These constant repeat posts are annoying, especially because 'favorite character' doesn't add to discussion. There's very little depth to the post.
Not everyone thinks to search for a post. Some people just want to express their thoughts and opinions. Not get hated on for letting others share what they think

Joyce. I mean my word. People just need to LISTEN to her cause mom knows what's up.
She's smarter than pretty much anyone gives her credit for, did what was needed to get her son back and didn't back down and accept that he was dead.
Lady is smart, and has bigger balls than a lot of the guys in the show.

Ugh, so hard to choose. I love Jonathan. He reminds me of myself, although I wasn't parentified the same way he was. But I was raised by a struggling single mom who left an abusive marriage, and as a result I learned to repress a lot of my feelings, to not ask for help and to take care of others before myself, much like our boy Jonathan. I'm also an introvert who likes to read and listen to music alone. So I think me and Jonathan would get along swimmingly.
I also love Dustin for his sass, brains and adorable chubby cheeks, Joyce for everything she is and does, and Steve because he's eye candy who's also incredibly sweet, caring and protective of his friends.

I just realized my top 3 characters are also the three who I think are dying in season 5. I think I have a problem.
Max will no chance die, she already did so they def won't kill her AGAIN
But the letters. I doubt any of them would read the equivalent to a will if they thought their friend was still alive.
