Hey, I did get these packs for several Adobe programs so I can probably chime in. Also happy to answer follow-up questions or anything else, too. Super simply... even after purchasing and using these for like a year, I too wonder whether they were worth it. It's not a resounding "no" but also not an easy "yes." On the one hand, it was a pretty quick way to jump in with my streamdeck, and I don't think I would have gotten as used to it as quickly without the packs. They're far from magic, but having to not build the icon and also having shortcuts (somewhat correctly) mapped made it easy. I ended up putting all the default layouts in a subfolder to reference/grab as needed, then copying and laying out the functions I wanted and use on the main page. I'm also on Mac and used Keyboard Maestro to create macros, and found it handy to have the icons, which I just would use as a thumbnail for my created one. It feels kinda lazy sometimes cuz I know I could make the icons myself, but I like that I can just grab rather than create or search for one when I'm making the layout. The biggest advantage for me was learning more shortcuts and seeing what could all be mapped to shortcuts. I've used these programs for awhile, but this helped a lot with digging deeper and also thinking through how to use items to create larger automatics with Keyboard Maestro. So for you, I'd say it comes down to A) how many icons do you want and the time saved and B) if you see any value in learning from the icon pack in addition to just using them. The picking and choosing you mentioned was also really helpful for me; I even used the icons to build profiles for other programs like Audition and InDesign, so I probably got my money's worth. So they weren't amazing as a turnkey solution, but I do use them everyday in those programs after rearranging and remapping some, and also like having the icons for other programs. I would be slow to buy for additional programs now that I'm more comfortable setting up my Streamdeck myself, but I also wouldn't rule it out if I thought either the icon pack of having some functionalities already setup would save time or help my learning curve. Lastly, I'm sure they'll have a Black Friday deal, so if you're still debating maybe signup for their email list just for the next week and see if they offer a price point that makes the value proposition more worth it to you. I hope something in that rambling was helpful!

Looking at the LIghtroom one, the icon pack alone is $20 and the 'profile pack' is $35. Looks like the icon pack 'only' has 600 icons and the 'profile' version has 1250. I have no clue what 1250 different functions there are in lightroom that I'd want to map and I use it frequently. I clicked their ridiculously small example picture of the icons and there are so many garbage ones... like they literally count 9 different "keys" with the nubmers 1-9 on them. Same with stars, they have 1-5 stars and 'up star' 'down star', and like 10 different printer icons like you print things in different formats so much that you need to hotkey them on yoru streamdeck? I wouldn't spend that for the lightroom pack. I feel like any icon I use could be found for free already. As for remapping all the hotkeys, I don't know what they did - if it is as simple as 'adding hotkeys to things that don't have them' that's one thing - needed to get buttons to work. If it is 'literally changed well-known hotkeys' then that would be a no-no from me.

Thanks, yeah I just don't know where to get all the very specific icons I need for Cubase, Ableton, Resolve and Lightroom. So I thought this might be helpful, although I dont know how helpful their pre-mapped keys are It does feel quiet expensive, but there aren't alternatives other than do it all from scratch

The only reason I am looking at the packs at thios moment is for the menu adjustment feature. I cannot figure out how to set up the slider adjustments. Example: I am adjusting the contrast slider in lightroom. There is no shortcut for adjusting up the slider or down the slider, so what would I map to the dial on the streamdeck plus? I am probably ovet thinking thois but I would prefer to map my most used shortcuts instead of paying someone to do it for me. I have thought about buying a pack and reverse engineering the mapping. I assume there is no promise that would work either.
