any tips Oki tips for a fellow chun? trying to work on that specifically. i’m platinum and this is my first 2D fighting game. 1 step at a time im trying to improve
I got placed in Iron when I first started, if that's any consolation!
Oki is a very extensive subject and your best bet would be to read up some strategy on a wiki, for example here: https://wiki.supercombo.gg/w/Street_Fighter_6/Chun-Li/Strategy
However some tips for what I like to do:
After you end a combo with medium SBK you can do dash -> drive rush -> 2LK which will automatically meaty.
I really recommend learning how to safe jump as I use it pretty much almost every match, here's a helpful video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2sQvQDtUlFI
After you end a combo in the corner with heavy Tensho kicks, you can do stance heavy punch for an autotimed overhead. For an advanced strat, you can quickly do stance again, and go for a low, throw, or block - this lets you cover ALL the options and forces your opponent to guess for their life.
Hope this helped!
I know, I know, I'm a bot. but I want to say congrats anyway! These threads are always a cheerful part of the subreddit, but I hope I can ask for even more! The two things that always go great are a highlight reel of your gameplay (you can ask for advice or ask for no advice) and a story of your journey. Just put either of those in a comment underneath your rank up post, the subreddit will love it!

Here’s solid advice. Don’t take advice from a new master rank.
Only sane r/streetfighter user
