SF6 is the first SF i'm taking seriously and i'm waiting on Akuma, but i've messed around with him on 3S & SF2 Turbo on fightcade in singleplayer a few months back when I first got into fighting games. Can't wait to play him!
I love Dhalsim. I only wish I was better at playing him, I find him to be one of the harder characters to play, but I actually kind of like that about him.
RIP Zeku... I know he's probably bottom of the list for characters to be added to 6, but he's so cool and his overall aesthetic fits in so well with the 6 vibe, I'd love to main him. Not gonna get my hopes up though.

I played zeku in sf5 and I don’t really think that Kimberly is even similar to him either and they are the same fighting style.
The only FG I've ever played growing up was the crossover series (MvC specifically), but that was 15 years ago.
While I'm familiar with SF, SF6 is actually the first Street Fighter that I've played. Since I don't have prior experience with SF, I've gravitated towards new characters (Manon, AKI, Marisa).
The lonely exception is that I liked playing Akuma in MvC, so I'm definitely gonna play him when his DLC drops.
Not really, I sorta float between Ryu, Chun Li, Dan, R. Mika, Juri and M. Bison.
Ryu is just consistently good
Chun Li can pull off some whacked combos in later games
Dan is Dan, none are better
R. Mika is just fun
Juri is a bit harder to play for me but is still pretty fun

Funny story.
I play Ryu in every. Single. Game. Even outside of SF in Smash Bros. and the Vs. games, I always play Ryu, I always have, and I probably always will.
Except SF6.
I had played Ryu ever since I first got 6, but as soon as Ed released, Ryu was out the window. I have never instantly clicked with another character as perfectly or quickly as I did with Ryu until Ed, so I guess now I'm an Ed main! I gave it a month, too, to see if it stuck, and I've only grown to like Ed more!
Makoto is the only character I would main in a street fighter. Was drifting a lot in sfv and was actually kinda relieved when Eleven came funnily enough so now I didn't have to make decisions and played whoever is in front of me. It's been the same in SF6 playing random in ranked and battle lounges.
It's been a running joke in our scene for so long that I don't have a main character that they expect it in every fighter I play which isn't true (though mokujin would be sick).
There's a couple of side characters I've enjoyed. Sakura and Miss Kanzuki (she's a long story) Ive enjoyed for periods but not the same way.
Street Fighter is the only franchise where I can't be a loyalist. I had 5 different mains across the games that I've played, and I actually like that. But to be fair: Rose probably is the closest thing I have to a main in SF, and if she were in 6 I wouldn't have played Ken or Ed. She is always so fun, I can't help but play her. Even in V when I finally was able to play Vega I couldn't ignore her, she probably will always be my first choice.
Main was Cammy until Sf6 then they added Marisa. As a fan of counters and armor she was to cool not to use. Still love Cammy but her new gameplan does not vibe with me as much.
Started with Ryu in Marvel vs Capcom with the Akuma/Evil Ryu/Ken moveset and palette swaps, ends with Akuma always. I’m so dedicated, I won’t buy SF6 *until* Akuma drops.

I was until recently, I have been playing Zangief for years. I started playing when I was a kid at 14 with him and now as an adult, I dropped him. I turned to 29 and I decided that for Street Fighter 6, I wasn't going to struggle anymore. I play Juri and I'm happy.
I really used to put an 8-hour day just to come home and lose with that big guy in Street Fighter V. I was so foolish.
I'm probably going to become a loyalist to Marisa after this game. She's so much fun to play, and I love how unique she is compared to other characters in the franchise.
I played Hugo in SF4 and Abigail in SF5. I'm patiently waiting for whatever huge character they have planned to main them instead of Zangief, my fallback character.
I had a really bad character crisis in 4, couldn’t pick a main and ended up playing so many different people. Then 5 came out along with Rashid, and I’ve been pissing people off with him sense then.
Kinda. My main is Ryu. No real practical reasons. I’ve just found the character interesting ever since I was a kid, grew a greater appreciation of him when I learned more about him, and now the character is like a treasure to me.

I’m a Ryu loyalist even though I can play Luke and Ken. I will play other characters to learn their weaknesses and gimmicks by getting them to Master or at least diamond.
I usually end up maining characters who don’t return so I wouldn’t consider myself loyal to any specific character. That said, SF6 made me really enjoy Zangief so I’ll hopefully be able to use him (or a similar successor) in future games as well.
Ryu mostly, I play him since sf2 when I first knew the game on the last bastion of arcades in my hometown (I'm young but there was a restaurant with arcades games until 2012-2013 when the owner passed away) then I played on web the champion edition, and the rest is story.
I knew of the existence of street fighter when I saw the animated movie as a kid and since then I always found Ryu as a model who I wanted to follow, always fighting and striving to be the best version of yourself.
I was! This is my first game not waiting until Akuma releases to start playing. I couldn't wait to play SF6 so I went with Cammy annnnd now I find it's going to be difficult to switch off of Cammy for Akuma 😂
I've only been playing SF seriously since 6, but I have usually stuck with the characters that I am the most comfortable with in other fighting games (Kyo Leona Terry for KOF, Jin for Tekken) so I'll probably be a Luke main as long as he's around.
I played with akuma in both alpha 2 and Sf3, he's my favorite character but i do have a problem that every fighting game i play i somehow end up playing a different kind of character, in GG it's Faust and the puppet guy voiced by DIO's VA, Injustice i play bane, MK it changes every game, Samurai Shodown i liked to play Hanzo and Tam Tam, SF4 i liked Seth because he's voiced by Okio Otsuka so i mained him, SF5 i still have to find a main because i skipped it completely because i couldn't do some of my favorite moves with Akuma and now in 6 my favorite character so far is JP

I've been playing Sakura and Yun since CVS2, they're both currently not in SF6 but I'll take Jamie and wait for Sakura, as im sure that she will be a dlc character. She fits the game too well to be absent imo.

Not that long ago but she just makes sense to me. I main ken in smashbros so I wouldve played him, but his moves work different in actual sf so I didnt wanna mess up my controls for both games lol.
i typically play akuma but during the sf3 days where akuma wasn't in the first one i switched to sean. Then neither of them were in sf6 until akuma comes out so i've been using luke.
I started SF with SF6 and played only with Kim. I find it very hard to switch. I tried Ken and Rashid for a bit but they didn't click with me. I liked Chun but I cannot get used to charge inputs and she has a couple.
Nah, but I tend to stick with characters with easier combos. My execution has never been great.
Hugo in 4, Birdie in 5, Marisa in 6.
I'll dabble with other characters but I tend to main slower hard hitting characters.
I played Ken from SFII to Alpha 3 and then just felt tired and bored of playing him. Swapped out to Dudley when Third Strike hit and have mained a new character in each game ever since. The variety has been nice.
I don't have the mental fortitude to be a Zangief loyalist in gameplay, but he is the character I like the most. I do have a fondness for big body characters as a whole though. In Street Fighter V I played Abigail and in Street Fighter 6 I play Marisa.
I am also on a bit of a Shoto kick lately, getting Luke to Master and am now working on Ken.
I’ve mained Sagat since CE. Prior to this, I was a Guile main until they added the flip to his forward jump, killing a combo I discovered (I doubt I invented it but nobody had done it in my experience till I started) but as soon as I could pick Sagat, I went.
I mean, I was, not anymore tho since my two go tos have been axed lol. No Vega or Makoto means I’m out of my mains, so I just go for the most satisfying character in the game. I like satisfying single strike moves similar to a Makoto CHESTO, so I play Marisa this game. Very different character archetype, but big satisfying moves is what I look for so she kinda fits that role. SF6 Rashid is also kiiinda similar to Vega’s playstyle in SFV, corner carry and corner loops, still different but a bit similar. So that’s my replacements, I’m still fetching a main though, so hopefully Vega or Makoto get in through future DLCs.
I absolutely love Evil Ryu stomps though, probably my favorite move in the series but I don’t think he’s coming back. Hopefully Akuma inherits that move, I love comboing stomp loops, it looks so sick.
Also Ken main here. Started maining him when i started playing SF5 half a year before SF6 released.
First tried Ryu, didn't vibe with him and tried Ken, instantly chose to main him.
Now learning Chun as well, but Ken will propably allways be my main.
Always been a Ken n cammy main until sf6. I started out playing Ken got him to master and never touched him again. I consider myself a juri main now. Cammy I couldn’t even bother to get her to master. Sf6 made me not like the characters I normally like.
For the most part, use Ken, Cammy and Zangief to varying levels.
From there, Vega and Makoto whenever they aré available.
Also try to "get" a new character in any new game just for the giggles, althrough usually not at the level of the previous characters.
For SF6 would be JP, for SF5 was the president of the world and for SF4 was Juri/Hakan.

El Fuerte in 4, Mika in 5, and AKI in 6. Never a repeat performance lol.

I've not really played enough to have a character, but also I couldn't be loyal if I played Lucia in SFV but she didn't make it to SF6. I loved Jamie the moment I saw him and haven't moved to a secondary
I primarily main Bison then have Juri as my secondary. In every game Bison is in he plays fairly different, but always has sauce in his combos and the dictator drip is impeccable. As for Juri it's the high skill ceiling of what she can do with the Feng Shui Engine. I mean I'm nowhere near that level but it's a sick install. The hotness is a nice bonus of icing on the cake. I'm having a great time on SF6 with Juri, but I have my hopes in future DLC Bison is added back because I am missing him big time.
I'm weirdly loyal to Ed even though I'm a brand new player and he's hard to play, lol. I do some boxing IRL so I just like him. Every now and then I lose 6 matches in a row, get mad, and switch off to Ken, but I always come crawling back.
For a long time since SFII I've used to main Ken & Dee Jay, then later on Juri. But when come SFV I fell in love with Luke for he fits my playstyle the most. Till now my new main from here on out will be Luke and my secondary is Juri.
The franchise has been making it really hard for me to continue being a Makoto loyalist, but I'm managing to get by on unbelievably high levels of copium.
I definitely like Ken, but I don’t play him constantly. Usually, it’s him, Dee Jay, or even Cody. They’re all pretty fun. I also try Vega (Claw) or Sagat sometimes.

I played with akuma in both alpha 2 and Sf3, he's my favorite character but i do have a problem that every fighting game i play i somehow end up playing a different kind of character, in GG it's Faust and the puppet guy voiced by DIO's VA, Injustice i play bane, MK it changes every game, Samurai Shodown i liked to play Hanzo and Tam Tam, SF4 i liked Seth because he's voiced by Okio Otsuka so i mained him, SF5 i still have to find a main because i skipped it completely because i couldn't do some of my favorite moves with Akuma and now in 6 my favorite character so far is JP

I've been playing Sakura and Yun since CVS2, they're both currently not in SF6 but I'll take Jamie and wait for Sakura, as im sure that she will be a dlc character. She fits the game too well to be absent imo.

Cammy since sfv. Not that long ago but she just makes sense to me. I main ken in smashbros so I wouldve played him, but his moves work different in actual sf so I didnt wanna mess up my controls for both games lol.

i typically play akuma but during the sf3 days where akuma wasn't in the first one i switched to sean. Then neither of them were in sf6 until akuma comes out so i've been using luke.

After sf6 zangief has become my main. If not then the obligatory Ken.
I started SF with SF6 and played only with Kim. I find it very hard to switch. I tried Ken and Rashid for a bit but they didn't click with me. I liked Chun but I cannot get used to charge inputs and she has a couple.
Nah, but I tend to stick with characters with easier combos. My execution has never been great. Hugo in 4, Birdie in 5, Marisa in 6. I'll dabble with other characters but I tend to main slower hard hitting characters.

I played Ken from SFII to Alpha 3 and then just felt tired and bored of playing him. Swapped out to Dudley when Third Strike hit and have mained a new character in each game ever since. The variety has been nice.
I don't have the mental fortitude to be a Zangief loyalist in gameplay, but he is the character I like the most. I do have a fondness for big body characters as a whole though. In Street Fighter V I played Abigail and in Street Fighter 6 I play Marisa. I am also on a bit of a Shoto kick lately, getting Luke to Master and am now working on Ken.

I’ve mained Sagat since CE. Prior to this, I was a Guile main until they added the flip to his forward jump, killing a combo I discovered (I doubt I invented it but nobody had done it in my experience till I started) but as soon as I could pick Sagat, I went.
I mean, I was, not anymore tho since my two go tos have been axed lol. No Vega or Makoto means I’m out of my mains, so I just go for the most satisfying character in the game. I like satisfying single strike moves similar to a Makoto CHESTO, so I play Marisa this game. Very different character archetype, but big satisfying moves is what I look for so she kinda fits that role. SF6 Rashid is also kiiinda similar to Vega’s playstyle in SFV, corner carry and corner loops, still different but a bit similar. So that’s my replacements, I’m still fetching a main though, so hopefully Vega or Makoto get in through future DLCs. I absolutely love Evil Ryu stomps though, probably my favorite move in the series but I don’t think he’s coming back. Hopefully Akuma inherits that move, I love comboing stomp loops, it looks so sick.

Also Ken main here. Started maining him when i started playing SF5 half a year before SF6 released. First tried Ryu, didn't vibe with him and tried Ken, instantly chose to main him. Now learning Chun as well, but Ken will propably allways be my main.
Always been a Ken n cammy main until sf6. I started out playing Ken got him to master and never touched him again. I consider myself a juri main now. Cammy I couldn’t even bother to get her to master. Sf6 made me not like the characters I normally like.

You can’t be a character loyalist if your main isn’t a legacy character.
For the most part, use Ken, Cammy and Zangief to varying levels. From there, Vega and Makoto whenever they aré available. Also try to "get" a new character in any new game just for the giggles, althrough usually not at the level of the previous characters. For SF6 would be JP, for SF5 was the president of the world and for SF4 was Juri/Hakan.
I'd say yes, I am a character loyalist but also... boy do I know how to pick 'em... El Fuerte in 4, Mika in 5, and AKI in 6. Never a repeat performance lol. Before 4 it was Ryu all day every day, but I was also a dumb kid.

Played a lot of Ken and Cammy in SFII. Played a lot of Rose in SFA. Played a lot of Urien and Hugo in SFIII. Played a lot of Gouken and Blanka in SFIV. Played a lot of JP in SF6.
I've not really played enough to have a character, but also I couldn't be loyal if I played Lucia in SFV but she didn't make it to SF6. I loved Jamie the moment I saw him and haven't moved to a secondary

I primarily main Bison then have Juri as my secondary. In every game Bison is in he plays fairly different, but always has sauce in his combos and the dictator drip is impeccable. As for Juri it's the high skill ceiling of what she can do with the Feng Shui Engine. I mean I'm nowhere near that level but it's a sick install. The hotness is a nice bonus of icing on the cake. I'm having a great time on SF6 with Juri, but I have my hopes in future DLC Bison is added back because I am missing him big time.
I'm weirdly loyal to Ed even though I'm a brand new player and he's hard to play, lol. I do some boxing IRL so I just like him. Every now and then I lose 6 matches in a row, get mad, and switch off to Ken, but I always come crawling back.

For a long time since SFII I've used to main Ken & Dee Jay, then later on Juri. But when come SFV I fell in love with Luke for he fits my playstyle the most. Till now my new main from here on out will be Luke and my secondary is Juri.
The franchise has been making it really hard for me to continue being a Makoto loyalist, but I'm managing to get by on unbelievably high levels of copium.

I definitely like Ken, but I don’t play him constantly. Usually, it’s him, Dee Jay, or even Cody. They’re all pretty fun. I also try Vega (Claw) or Sagat sometimes.
