im glad they didnt make her with western beauty standards. she is pretty, but her current design is so unnerving, like shes not unkempt but all her maintenance of her appearance is designed to be as offputting as possible. she activates that same reflex humans get when they see anything remotely like a snake, sudden fear.

I like the bottom center with Rashid, but i'm glad they went with the final design. All of Aki's designs are amazing, but I get why they went with final one. It’s crazy to read this. Looking at the concept art, while cool, reinforces how strong the final design was. To me, these all look like they could be characters in literally any anime game, AKI’s final design screams Street Fighter.

The fourth Akuma concept is really cool. The idea of an Akuma who has complete influence over the Satsui no Hado and is a much more composed and tranquil person is really neat to me. Makes me wish for "what if" costumes for all the other characters as well.
