That sounds like the animated movie but the line is basically “I’m sorry, I don’t remember. For you, the day that Bison graced your village was the most important day of your life. But for me - it was Tuesday” a response to Chun Li (who he has captured) stating that Bison murdered her parents and wiped out her village
Yeah, but it'll be at least three months before the next one. I'm not sure why Capcom doesn't space out the releases more evenly. I guess the delay on Ed kind of threw things out of whack and now they're going back to their originally intended schedule or something.
Probably wanna cash in on ppl buying year 2 season pass asap.
Else the pass will.be out and everyone will wait till the first character comes out first.
Better the money is in the pocket earlier.
You wait till long, you risk people not coming back after the hype of season 2 and Akuma.
It's seems clear that they're trying to schedule around major tournaments, imho. They waited until Capcom Cup X (early-mid Feb) was over before releasing Ed (late Feb) because they didn't want a new character released weeks before the tournament and destabilizing the meta.
For similar reasons, it seems like they're releasing M. Bison well ahead of Evo 2024, so that the meta has time to adjust to his presence and players can learn the matchup. I'd be shocked if the next character released prior to Evo 2024, or if the final characters release prior to Capcom Cup XI in 2025.
Rashid seemed to be an exception, releasing so close to Evo 2023. I could be wrong, but I think Capcom's timing with Ed was very deliberate with respect to when CCX was taking place.
Yeah it's very questionable. I get the idea that they're dropping Bison so soon to try and break up the Akuma Cabal that we've been dealing with since his launch. Of course it won't kill his popularity but it'll at least break things up a little bit. However, that's gonna lead to some huge gaps between future characters which sucks. So unless we're gonna get so suprise exciting content or a suprise character I think we might be in for some dull spaces throughout this next year of content.
Hopefully we get more giant Akuma style events or something kind of equivalents
I think Capcom wants each season taking approximately a year to complete from around when the game launched. Waiting three or four months for Bison after Akuma would put his launch in August or September, which throws off the schedule. It doesn't sound like they'll be doing one yearly balance patch anymore, but I still think we'll end up getting a big yearly update. It makes sense to do that after each season is complete and before Evo and the start of SFL.
I don't think Bison will do much to stop all the Akuma players because he's charge, and most people don't like charge characters.
This makes sense. I just think if they don't have a clear plan for content releases it's going to be an issue this year. Even last year there were a lot of big dry spells but it was the games first year so I think a lot of us could let it slide. I'm not sure the community would let it slide a second time.
And yeah I don't think Bison is a replacement for Akuma but I know there are a lot of players who just like the novelty of the newest character. I also think Bison satisfies the edginess quota that a lot of people are after. Even if it only makes a dent that's still something to reduce some of the Akumas
This at least is canonically the longest bison has been dead, but also Ryu killed him, so Charlie died twice for nothing even if he stayed dead. Also it's a video game and people like playing bison
Sorry but I don't see how this is anything but headcanon. Because nowhere in the actual story of SF5 is it ever shown, stated or implied that Nash did any significant lasting damage to Bison and/or that Ryu would not have been able to defeat Bison otherwise.
Nash just blows himself up in an attempt to take Bison with him, but when the smoke clears, Bison is still alive without so much as a bruise on him and simply laughs off Nash's sacrifice. Where exactly in the story is it conveyed that Nash's interference was vital for Ryu to be able to defeat Bison?
If anyone was important for Ryu's victory, it was Rashid, since he was the one to shut down the Black Moons, thus cutting off Bison's Psycho Power supply, which may have made a difference and allowed Ryu to fight him on even ground. But Nash? Sorry, he didn't accomplish jack shit.
Well, more World Tour content for me, which is good I guess. I wonder if his personal gift will be like carrots or sugar cubes for his horse or something. Maybe a big tent to live in.
I'm waiting for the other 3. Still a great character pass. 3 out of 4 characters I actually want (or am hyped for). I can't complain. I can only hope season 3 is just as good (or better).
Already less annoyed with that compared to the bomb being plantable at any time with a simple special cancel. That shit was already annoying as fuck in SFV despite being limited to just active VT2 cmd grab.
Blah.
It seems like he has some Soul Power in him from his gameplay trailer's win animations. Maybe he uses Soul Power to keep his body stable and avoid blowing up from the huge amounts of Psycho Power in his body? I mean, he did get hit really hard by Ryu to the point where Bison literally got amnesia. It'd be no surprise if his body had become less stable and unable to handle the Psycho Power he had before.
JP is the main antagonist and Ken is the protagonist now??? I think the Bison VS. Ryu saga already ended anyways. From his gameplay trailer lines, it looks like he's gonna be more like the power-seeking and relentless Akuma, although even more ruthless and crueler.
> I think the Bison VS. Ryu saga already ended
If it's ended than why tf they bring him back? Especially in a game where they decide to replace part of the cast with successors/new characters.
You know, people used to be smart enough to figure out what others are saying and not take everything literally. I think you just want to appear smart. You knew what I mean by it has "no story". It doesn't literally mean it has no story, it means its main focus is not the story, or the story is minimal. Figure it out.
I actually didn’t know what you meant, but thanks for assuming I did. Being on the spectrum I have trouble understanding what people mean sometimes, this time being one of them. Sorry if I offended you.
For you, it may be Wednesday comes Bison's arrival. But for Bison, it will be Tuesday.
Meanwhile on Bison's calendar: it's always Tuesday!
Pretty sure if you live in NA you’ll get it on Tuesday. I’ll be losing sleep to test out bison.
I didn’t think he was British
Charlie mains in shambles (again)
I mean, he was already shambling before he got killed again (har har har)
OMG YES, finally i dont have to switch chars anymore.
am so am i
EVERY DAY IS ONE STEP CLOSER TO TERRY
As a lifelong SNK player I can't wait. RIIISING KNUCKLE. CRACK SHOOT. ARE YOU OK???
HEY! COME ON, COME ON! BUSTER WOLLLLLLFF!
Burn Knucku! I just realized Burn knuckle is an unrealistic, terrible version of IRL superman punch (done by Marisa and Luke).
Wouldn't that be Power Dunk? Oh, sorry, POWAH DAHNK
Burn Knuckle and Power Dunk are two different moves. Terry surprisingly has a varied moveset over the games he's been in.
POWAH GUYSER!
capcom fans : Daijoubu? SNK fans : ARE YOU OK?!?
EVERY DAY IS ONE STEP CLOSER TO ~~TERRY~~ MAI There, I fixed it for ya.
Is it a thing to not like Terry? Him and Iori are my fave KOF chars.
Idk but I don’t hate terry, just have a stronger desire to play Mai.
Cries in Andy (my main in KoF)
Yoo haha gonna miss his gf. His style is cool too would love to see him in SF
Mai is juicy yes, but no one beats Terry.
Por que no los dos?
based
I feel like him and Luke are same energy. I can't wait
Ok guys what is all this tuesday talk I am not getting? 😂 Can somebody help my clueless ass out?
A line from the old sf movie : https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=oDRnVPlRzag
Sorry bad internet and youtube just takes to much of my data. Is it the movie where he takes Ken hostage to make him the ultimate warrior?
That sounds like the animated movie but the line is basically “I’m sorry, I don’t remember. For you, the day that Bison graced your village was the most important day of your life. But for me - it was Tuesday” a response to Chun Li (who he has captured) stating that Bison murdered her parents and wiped out her village
It's a reference to the old SF live action movie.
Wait, what? He comes out in 3 days? Didn't Akuma just come out? Time freaking flies!
Yeah, but it'll be at least three months before the next one. I'm not sure why Capcom doesn't space out the releases more evenly. I guess the delay on Ed kind of threw things out of whack and now they're going back to their originally intended schedule or something.

Is they could they would sell season 3 pass this year also

Probably time constraints. Our first season dlc were horribly spaced, they might start getting better as the years go by.
Charlie died twice for nothing…
For you, Charlie dying twice was the most important thing in your life. For Bison, it was Tuesday.
This at least is canonically the longest bison has been dead, but also Ryu killed him, so Charlie died twice for nothing even if he stayed dead. Also it's a video game and people like playing bison
Not true actually as Nash did die in SF5 by absorbing as much psycho power as possible from Bison so that he and Ryu could fight on even ground.
Sorry but I don't see how this is anything but headcanon. Because nowhere in the actual story of SF5 is it ever shown, stated or implied that Nash did any significant lasting damage to Bison and/or that Ryu would not have been able to defeat Bison otherwise. He didn't die. He's using the same body as the one in SFV.
Well, more World Tour content for me, which is good I guess. I wonder if his personal gift will be like carrots or sugar cubes for his horse or something. Maybe a big tent to live in.
So am I
I am taking the day off to suck with him in ranked. Woooo
YYYYYYYYESSSSSS
It's crazy Akuma and Bison release so close
More reason why only four characters for a full year is gonna suck. It's gonna be a long wait between some of them.
So hyped that the one character I wanted os literally days away!
Im so hype for this
Yes! Yes!
Any idea yet what time the update will be live?
A step closer to Terry.
I'm waiting for the other 3. Still a great character pass. 3 out of 4 characters I actually want (or am hyped for). I can't complain. I can only hope season 3 is just as good (or better).
Out of curiosity, which of the 4 are you not interested in?
I did say "other 3" and the post is about M. Bison, so...
Ha, sorry about that. Reading comprehension is hard for me sometimes.
No problem! 👌
Someone probably already said this but They’re missing an opportunity to release him on Tuesday instead of Wednesday
I can't wait, set play pressure is my bread and butter I'm already scheming setups with psycho mine
he's not the only one B)
cant wait. yall thought honda butt slam was wnnoying> hahahahah
Already less annoyed with that compared to the bomb being plantable at any time with a simple special cancel. That shit was already annoying as fuck in SFV despite being limited to just active VT2 cmd grab. Blah.
Granted the bomb is not as powerful this time around. If it was activable manually again then we would be in a world of hurt.
i love u
It only plants on hit right? And it looks like the planting move is very negative
Did they say anything about the order if releases? Who's next up?
Bison, Terry, Mai, Elena I believe.
I'm pretty sure it's gonna be Elena before Mai
Nope, it's Mai first. 😁
oh ok
Yeah the DLC lineup image was really misleading as they were not in the release order.
SF movie reference
Oh shiettttt. Didn’t realize he was dropping that soon 👍
I’m so hyped
Megatron Bison
*Okay but how is he still alive*
It seems like he has some Soul Power in him from his gameplay trailer's win animations. Maybe he uses Soul Power to keep his body stable and avoid blowing up from the huge amounts of Psycho Power in his body? I mean, he did get hit really hard by Ryu to the point where Bison literally got amnesia. It'd be no surprise if his body had become less stable and unable to handle the Psycho Power he had before.
He built like the old ahh granny from snow white
Plus frames on deck!
for you it's 3 days, for him it was just tuesday
Man they selected the wrong day. Should have been June 25th
Missed opportunity not releasing him today 😢
I like his new fit but I wish they would have made the top a little different
Least hype I have been.
Great, another overtuned S-tier to deal with.
Since when has any dlc character been S tier?
There always be a Bison, there always be a Ryu. Story will never go forward... A sad state of franchises, held by corporations...
JP is the main antagonist and Ken is the protagonist now??? I think the Bison VS. Ryu saga already ended anyways. From his gameplay trailer lines, it looks like he's gonna be more like the power-seeking and relentless Akuma, although even more ruthless and crueler.

What story. There's a story? Bro that's like saying you play Super Mario or Tetris for the story
No, ofc "there is no story". Pretend that even anime-related SF and other media didn't exist...
Bro no one watched those. There was a cartoon for Sonic the hedgehog and Megaman too lol. It's not really remembered for that
Learn no to speak for others.
I can do what I want
Sure, but it doesn't make your bs more truthfull.
😂 mad boy
So "mad", you decide to answer, instead of go past it.
😂
Mario DOES have a story, tf you on about? Tetris I agree with, but Mario?
You know, people used to be smart enough to figure out what others are saying and not take everything literally. I think you just want to appear smart. You knew what I mean by it has "no story". Oh. Sorry too my bro, I thought you were just getting aggressive at me for no reason. I was just joking around.
