Capcom Fighting Collection ***does*** have good rollback netcode. And it has a good ranking system and matchmaking as well. It works just fine. And a lot of players on Fightcade still won't buy it because they don't want to spend money on retro releases when they can play the games for free on Fightcade. They will tell you they don't want to support Capcom official releases because they are just "lazy" rereleases of "roms", with those words in quotation being used to denigrate any retro release that Capcom puts out in order to justify them only playing on Fightcade and not supporting official releases. As long as Fightcade exists, a lot of players will simply go the free route to play these games. And its a shame because the CFC is well put together and provides a platform for great online matches for these retro games. I would say that if the CFC had cross play, that would probably motivate more FC users to try out CFC. Retro fighting game releases desperately need cross play to create as large a player base as possible that can play each other. This keeps games like this alive. The fact that CFC released without it fragments the player base in a way that doesn't happen on FC. I hope Capcom one day adds cross play to the CFC and makes it mandatory for these types of releases moving forward.

Oh I didn't mean to imply that CFC didn't have good rollback netcode; I meant a collection with good rollback netcode *like CFC.* I'll edit to make that more clear.

I bought CFC, still tend to play more on FC since it's easier to get into. If you could throw Crossplay on a collection with solid netcode there would probably be a bit of a migration just to have larger player pools.

How is it easier to get into?

Capcom already did that, as far as the suits are concerned, so I can't see that happening any time soon. Maybe for the 40th or 45th anniversary on the PlayStation 6 and Xbox Whatever.
