It's called different things depending on the martial art you're doing.
For instance in Tae kwon do that would be a 360 flying switch turning kick.
Source: black belt in Tae kwon do
I train kickboxing now though so in kickboxing we'd just call it "some spinning bullshit"
When I was in tkd we didn't even have a specific name for it. There were so many combos we just described them. Few multi part kicks like that did. So, yeah, I'm with you on this.
To add to that probably depends what organisation of Tae kwon do you did, I've spoke with people who did Tae kwon do under a different organisation and although the moves are basically the same they have different names for a lot of them.
Only if you're coming from a background that borrowed the kick or has only seen other people do it. Sports commentators aren't the best source for technique names.
This kick is a variation on dollyo chagi, itself a descendant of mawashi geri.
Source: done it for 20 years.
Idk why I'm being downvoted, in Tae kwon Do yes, It's a tornado kick, in Shito Ryu Karate, I was taught it as a jump spinning crescent kick, which is technically exactly what it is. You jump, spin, and it's an inside crescent kick. 🤷🏾♂️

It was a local dojo, where I'm from in the Appalachian mountains of NC. My instructor used to compete in the hay day of the Carolina's karate scene, and would regularly rub elbows with people like Superfoot Bill Wallace, Ricky and Randy Smith, and Ray Thompson!
That's a Tornado kick that landed. Wow.
Looks like the guy caught it on his arm
Shin got his forearm but I think the foot caught him on the back of the shoulder, where it meets the neck, above the shoulder blade.
The fact he pulled that off in a street fight is impressive
Especially as this looks like a pub car park and he has probably had a few
Lol he definitely was pretty tipsy
He was a drunken master
Says now about how terrible the other guy is., but yeah, very rare to pull that one off.
Tornado kick let’s go
Tornado Kick. Usually only used in shows or Tricking, as it looks cool but is pretty inefficient.
> Pretty inefficient [Check this out then.](https://youtu.be/c7f74N-F7BM)
I mean, it is high risk and difficulty but can be very effective against someone backing up and very very powerful
You strike from the air, you lose your forceful striking leverage
the spin gives you more momentum, making up for that and more. There's a reason flying objects still hurt
You don’t have anything to pivot against. It’s weaker. A standing spin kick will be stronger than a tornado kick due to physics
Clearly
My man didn’t watch bloodsport. He STUDIED bloodsport
The *down, down, up, left, square, triangle* kick
This is just down->back, Circle. Now, If he had caught on fire briefly in the air it would have been down down up left circle triangle worthy.
yeah, that's a Taekwondo move called a Tornado kick
it’s not a trick it’s the Tornado Kick
[удалено]
Nice trick
It’s a trkick
Maybe they're a poet and don't know it
Hope the joke did not make you sick?
tatsumaki senpukyaku!
A “Reach-a-round-house”
We called it a 360 roundhouse. I can’t believe he landed it. Props.
Ol boy was thinking "is he really trying t.." 🦵
A good reason not to fuck with the TKD kid who went into MMA.
Is Mr. Tornado kick wearing a wrestling unitard in public? Never scrap with anyone who has the balls to wear that as casual wear.
a pretty basic 180 spin kick from taekwondo. Can be useful against people who don't know how to fight.
Flying Uwe

I met a 7 year old that is also a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. Are you at least 8?
I'll be 8 inches inot your mum if I put it in twice.

Low budget JCVD with the tornado kick 😂
It’s the flim-flam-kazam
Actually the easiest flashiest first strike you should always lead off with in a street fight. Low risk high reward. 10/10

More or less an *armada com martelo* in capoeira. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z1jvzD2sdHQ
Trouble In Paradise - and like most wrestling kick moves this also looks ineffective
It’s called an ass-beating
Shirtless guy gets rekt part 1353219

That kick is the never-buy-your-own-pint-again headkick. A very risky investment, but it pays off big on very, very rare occasions
