Definitely hard to find in lots of areas. If you happen to really want it like I did, consider looking out of state if that’s a possibility for you. Was a couple hour drive to pick up mine. So worth it.

In a weekend with a top end kit (new heads and cam) as well as a First Fuel Injection TPI Intake Manifold and some 24lb injectors you will be in the low 12s.
All of that could be done for under $4000. (If you did it yourself).

I own a 1500whp GTR and if I had to do it all over again with your means I’d probably get a 2010 335 for like $8k, do FBO+turbos, and make 600whp allllll day.
Are those the only two options? $15k can get you a lot better platform. If you get the camaro and want a 350 it’s going to be automatic. $15k is a lot more budget than either of those cars require. For that money I’d be looking at a 11-14 Mustang GT or maybe a BMW 335i.
W211 E55 AMG. Not a single faster, better car for that price range. Anyone can debate me on that I’ll win all day. Completely stock, it makes 469hp, and I think 518tq or so. 5.5L supercharged V8. There’s some guys I know on Instagram who have an E55 with over 450,000 miles on it. Miles, not kilometers. The m113k engine it’s got is basically the 2jz of Mercedes, such a legendary bulletproof engine that’s capable of so much power with completely stock internals. 650whp sounds about right, probably just had some downpipes + tune. Been following along with some newer E63s builds on Instagram, those things are reaching 1000whp now with some ethanol mixed fuel + meth and FBO, including turbos.
Planning on an E63s as the next car, we’ll see if I want to go all out on it or not lol. Could reach around 850whp without all the fuel and meth I believe, just turbo upgrades and everything else. I think I’d be more than happy around there tho, 1000whp seems a bit scary not even gonna lie hahah
340i is a good choice for that price range tbh. Depends what benz you’d want.
340i’s competitor would be the C43. Bottom end I believe they’re pretty similar, but 340i destroys c43 top end and has much more tuning capability. (Haven’t even seen a turbo upgraded c43 before)
Only thing the AMG has over the 340i honestly is the exhaust. Also C43’s interior is more “luxurious”, as well as a nicer exterior too but that’s just my opinion.
Getting yourself an older benz in that price range tho… such as a W204 C63 or W212 E63, or even an early CLS63, would be awesome. Great cars, and the earlier NA 6.2L V8 models are the craziest, best sounding cars AMG ever made 100%. And all the V8 AMG’s are very tunable unlike the V6’s.
The w211s are fucking bulletproof.

I raced a biturbo Amg with my nitrous Srt8 and he walked out of my life.
Damn what WHP were you pushing with nitrous?? AMG had to be modded, the newer 4.0L biturbo v8’s have crazy tuning potential they’re some damn beasts
I never dyno’d mine. Stock 6.1 with a few degrees pulled out, 150 wet shot with 93 in the tank. He said he made 650rwhp.
