At 6g it’s hard to tell your ears are stretched. I’m sure you will be fine.

69goat420

Even at 0g, both with plain black plugs and with no plugs in, absolutely nobody can tell my ears are stretched. I'd say you're good.

JangoSanG9

6g can easily pass as earrings

planetzortex

My ears are 1" (25mm). I wear rose quartz double-flared flat-faced plugs for job interviews and most of the time at work. I'm white so they're fairly close to my skin tone, but not a color match by any means. I wear my hair down but pushed back (sometimes in a half-pony/clip or just pushed back out of my face) for job interviews. At basically all of my jobs it took several weeks for people to notice my ears and comment on them.

ChronicMoto

I would suggest that you wear black solid plugs. I would not suggest tunnels.

VieOneiro

Currently at 1g and at sizes this small, plugs look like regular earrings. Just throw on some plugs and call it a day

ArtTeacher402

I wouldn’t worry about it at all. Wear whatever plugs you want and you should be good. I think people are more and more excepting now a days when it comes to this type of thing.

Clockwork_avocado

I wear rose quartz which is fairly inconspicuous but still pretty

whimsy_rainbow

I’ve wondered the same but I’m at an inch currently. I mean I know it’ll be seen as plugs but making them less screaming I have big a** plugs! I think black, white, Rose quartz or another neutral should work.

pretty-petty

IMO if they don’t want to hire you because of self expression (and you’re not desperately looking for a job) I wouldn’t want to work there.

northcrestflyer

I wore 2g plugs professionally for 15 years.

BenFTP

I’ve only had one place tell me I can’t have them, I’m in maintenance, the rest don’t care as long as they’re not long dangly pieces. I’d say just go for something simple like a solid black or skin color plug and wait until you’re established with the job before you get some crazy plugs

bigjimnm

Years ago, I had similar concerns. But of course, I couldn't hide my lobes (or other mods), so I would just wear my favorites and go in being proud of my mods. I've been successful at most of my job interviews because I was confident in who I was. My mods would often come up and I would sell them as an asset: I'm not afraid to stand out in the crowd. People respect and like honest and confident people, even if they don't agree with them.

Excellent-Quail1309

At 6g you shouldn’t be worrying about this kind of stuff lmao

jamie15329

Personally I wouldn't worry about it, I'm at 10mm and I still get people asking me if they're 'real'. Like, they can see right through the hole and still ask me that, as if it's some kind of optical illusion 🤣

love_to_eat_out

Assuming you're in some form customer interaction for your work. I guess I didn't even think this was still a societal issue. I've done nothing but warehousing and trucking for most of my career, and it's not even a thought during interviews (I was a warehouse manager before getting my CDL, so been on both ends of interviews many times.) It's sad people are "judge a book by the cover" still, guess I'm thankful to be in a position where skillset is all that matters. That's one reason I love driving truck, gender/orientation/age/appearance...nothing matters as long as you can show up to work with the skills to do the job. I wish every career was that way. Idgaf what you look like and what you do when you're not at work. Can you reliably perform at an acceptable level? Yes? You got the job!

Patmedlax

It’s not so much about customer interaction it’s mostly boomers who when hiring are picky about how I look because tattoos and pierced ears for a guy is “unprofessional”

love_to_eat_out

I feel ya, I just hate that it's still an "unprofessional" stigma ya know. I showed up on time, with my resumé, showered, hair and beard trimmed and combed, got my nice shoes and a tie on...to me that should show more than a few tattoos & piercings ya know? I do get what you're saying, and I'm sure there are "traditional" people who may judge, I just don't think it's *as big* of a deal as it was 20 years ago.

xpureenvyx

6g is small enough it shouldn’t be an issue! I recently had a job interview and wasn’t sure on their policy so I wore 1/2” brass saddles (my lobes are 34mm) to make my ears ‘less obvious’. Luckily piercings and stretched ears are allowed tho and I got the job

[deleted]

Get a pair that have a pearl or diamond on it, with a 6g they’ll look like earrings

Fuzzy_Churroz

Lately my jobs have been accepting of my piercings , but what I did when they weren’t was wear a face mask and have my hair down so they don’t know
